Week in Review: DITL Vlog & Weekly To Do's!

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. Monday's vlog will cover Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the previous week and Thursdays vlog will be for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Actually I might be adding more vlogs in during the week...depending on how much I vlog.

Here's what's went on around here the past few days:

Thursday I was just starting to get somewhat back to schedule. After Laura left it was time to get back into the swing of things. I love Laura and I hope it didn't seem different in the catching up video. Toddlers bring a lot of stress to any home and at the end of each night we were falling on the couch together laughing about how crazy the day was. And she only had 2 of the 3 kids... so imagine her day to day busy life. She sure has her hands full and she also knows she can walk back through our door with one or all three of the kids. Our door is always open to all of our kids. It did take me a while to feel good about catching up and getting back on schedule. I totally understand why our oldest daughter doesn't want a planner yet. I love planners and have offered many times to get her one thinking it would make her life easier but I found out last week that was a bit silly of me. With such young kids, there is very little room for planning or true schedules short of a to do list. So many of my activities were changed or cancelled and it was just from being busy all day with young kids in the house. Now I understand her reasoning! Aren't those babies in the picture above as cute as ever!? You'd never know that they kicked our adult butts over and over! Hahahahaha....it's true!

I really thrive and get things done when I have some kind of road map of how I want the day to go. This could be a to do list, notes on the chalkboard wall, the to do list below or my handy dandy Inkwell Press Planner which I love so much. As you can tell, it was a bit hectic last week and it took a while for me to get things balanced out. 

I just started back slowly so I didn't get overwhelmed. I like to stick to one task at a time until the job is done. The first day it was grocery and household shopping. It was something I had to get done and then I moved on to other to do's through out the week. On Friday I worked around the house and online with emails and such then I made some me time. I took off and got my hair and nails done making me feel like a new person. :) A little pampering is always nice!  I don't know why it's so hard to keep up with things when people are home or here visiting. I guess I want to just hang out with them instead of working. I have to admit, the toddler kicked our butts but having Laura here to hang out with and kinda give me a break was nice. I didn't stress about what I wasn't getting done for the most part. Instead my full attention went to her, the kids, and Scott.

The weekend approached and the weather changed. It went from a cold rainy few days to sunshine, birds singing, kids playing outside... it was simply wonderful. I do want to move but I feel so blessed to see mountains all the time. There is something so peaceful about this area. It's growing on me. And let me say, North Carolina doesn't hold a candle to South Carolina. It's so much nicer here.

I want to look for a new house in the area but if I have to be here because of Scott's work.. I think I am ok with it. It's grown on me and I feel relaxed here. It's a beautiful state really and there is so much more of it I want to explore. With the rise in the temperatures, I have actually been feeling better. The sunshine is amazing and everyone around here has been out in their yards, kids are back to playing outside, and the birds are chirping again.

Saturday night I was busy with Scott. He wanted to get some stuff to redo the boys bathroom so we did some night shopping together. I think he actually had a good time picking out stuff that he and he alone likes. I helped but he mainly picked out everything and seemed to really be having a good time. I got a highlighter kit that I tried out leaving my hair more with orange highlights which did not make me very happy. I tried and tried to wash them out but it just was not happening. So I ended up going to bed a carrot top Saturday night. And no.. I didn't take pictures! Saturday I was opening some mail later in the night and was so surprised to have received such a sweet gift from a youtube/blog/friend that has exchanged books with me and really has been such a sweet friend. She sent a bunch of owl stickers for my birthday and some coupons for my favorite Mighty Leaf Tea. It was so generous and kind. Thank you so much Kiiresten! Romeo climbed up in bed with me and we got a great nights sleep together. There is something so sweet hearing a purring noise next to you in bed from a big fat cuddly kitty cat.

For whatever reason, I woke up Sunday morning before either of the boys. I sprung out of bed and took one look in the mirror and knew I had to do something. I called the girl who cut my hair and she was actually working Sunday morning. I was in the car at 9am heading in to get it fixed. I just required a toner and I was all good.. and had a nice blow out too. The boys were still sound asleep by time I got home an hour later. :) I was so thankful it was fixed. I won't do that again. She said if I had left it on a bit longer it probably would have lightened and not had that brassy tint to it. But it was looking pretty white and I wasn't going for a Gwen Stefani look ya know. I just had to wash it off but apparently that was not the right decision. Once I was back home with my fresh cut and.... now color, I got busy washing blankets and clothes... eventually waking my husband up at 1pm. He works so many hours, I figured the sleep was doing him a lot of good. Once he was up the boys went out to have a little fun and I had some time to work even more around the house. I knew today was going to be super busy so I just had to go with it and get as much of the weekly cleaning done as possible. It felt amazing with the spring breeze blowing through the windows. 

All the kitty cats loved it too. I think they wish they could roam outside but that will never happen without them being harnessed up and taking a quick walk. I just couldn't put them outside. Spring just makes everything seem better. Sun makes everything better. It was truly a wonderful Sunday. I stayed rather busy as did Scott with painting his bathroom but there was time to fly a kite with Jackson in the backyard, breaks out on the front porch with a glass of sweet tea as the afternoon passed by. I talked to Laura this morning, Brittany too.. and knowing that both of the girls were ok over the weekend just made it even better. ♥ All the kids doing well and happy just puts me at peace. 

This weeks to do’s

• Get Jackson to the Dr. in just a few minutes...then to school. 
• Finish weekly cleaning
• Clean up back deck....it needs to look more spring like! 
• Drink less Mt. Dew and more healthier drinks...does sweet tea count!?
• Package up giveaway packages and mail out later in the week. 
• Work on thank you notes... and send out at the same time the packages go out. 
• Call and catch up with mom. 
• Finish my current book
• Take the animals to get fixed on Tuesday. Super Cooper and all the female kitty cats are going in together. 
• Paint toe nails
• Brush out the animals before they go to their Vet appointment. 
• Go through closet and toss more clothes that I no longer want. 
• Start looking for a new house. Scott said find one and we can move....guess I better get busy!
• Continue to work in the spare bedroom. Still a lot to do in there. 
• Get back to walking and yoga. 
• Clean the mini blinds. A job I don't enjoy but I have a little tool that makes it easy at least. 
• Try to stay ahead of the game with the videos this week. 
• Balance check book. :\ I'm terrible with numbers but I try!
• Clean out car....I hate doing it in winter..but it's warm enough now to get it done. It's almost time I can put the top down! 
• Dump pictures from phone for space. 
• Look for a new book shelf to get the metal shelf out of the master bedroom. Maybe Ikea. 
• Kiss my husband and son more! 
• Buy birdseed for homemade bird feeders. 
• Toss old makeup, lotions and such. Declutter!

Ha! Another beautiful day. I am so excited! Here's looking forward to many more spring days that will turn into summer days, kids giggling, birds chirping, and a new week..with new goals and hopes. I don't hate Monday's like so many. I love a fresh week. Thanks for hanging around last week when the life was crazy and I got overwhelmed. Here's to a beautiful and blessed week to us all. Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you all are having a great day so far. Around here, the sun is shining bright and I am enjoying a beautiful spring day. I know some of you guys are still dealing with colder weather but for us here in South Carolina, its finally warming up! Just the sun shining through not only makes me happy but makes all the kitty cats around here happy too! I feel so much better with sunshine. :) I don't know if it works the same way for hubby because on bright warm sunny days, he usually has to work much harder. Customers come out on sunny days! Anyway, its so pretty here. I have no idea what I am going to do today. I have a couple errands to run and a little shopping to do today but that's about it. I thought with such a pretty day, I would clean out the garage some but that might have to wait until another day. I want Scott to bring home a big ass truck that I can toss all the stuff in before heading to the dump. I just want to throw all that shit away. I should already be out the door today but I am moving a bit slow right now.
Anyway, I have some bloggy news for you....I have been working hard to update my sponsor page and come March you will be able to purchase ad space if you'd like again. Tips & Tricks: Homemade Fire Starters made w/ all Recycled Materials - Video -

Hello friends! I am back with a wonderful wintertime Tuesday Tip for anyone with a fireplace.Yes, I know it is not Tuesday.. Damn Youtube messed up yesterday so now its a Wonderful Wednesday Tip! Ha!  We burn a lot of wood in our house and to me, nothing is better than a warm cozy fire on a cold winter night. But getting those fires started is not always so easy. You could always buy fire starters for around $20 a box or you could just make you own with things you have in your home already.. and they are so simple.. The video explains everything.. Pictures and directions are below!

These are super easy to make.....

1. I like to use a long piece of wax paper to work on incase any mess and easy clean up.
2. You will need some carton egg cartons. Make sure to use the cardboard egg cartons and not the plastic otherwise you could some pretty nasty fumes in your house.
3. Dryer Lint. We always have dryer lint in our laundry room. We keep it in a old laundry soap box. But if you don't have any - ask for friends to save you theirs. Same for egg cartons too!:)
4. If you don't have dryer lint and really want to make these you could also use a inexpensive roll of toilet paper.
5. Take candles that are pretty used up. I prefer to scrape the wax out instead of trying to put them in the microwave due to the metal parts on the wick. Scrap them into a old pot and melt on the stove. You could also buy some very cheap candles at the dollar store and still make these without costing a lot.
6. While the candle wax is melting start stuffing each egg hole with a golf ball size ball of the lint or toilet paper.
8. Drizzle the candle wax over the lint allowing it to seep into the egg cartons.
9. Allow the wax to dry and harden ( I sat it outside in the cold and it didn't take long for the wax to harden. )
10. Get your fireplace ready. Be sure you are using a fireplace that you can actually really burn wood in it. Not a electric or a fake fireplace. Take out any old ashes. Put your little pieces of kindling - small wood pieces - on bottom and only stack 3 or so pieces of firewood on top. Leave room for oxygen to flow through the fire.
11. Break off a couple of the lint rounds. I like to use 3 per fire. One on each side and in the middle.
12. Lite the lint rounds - they should last about 15 minutes each - allowing you to get a really hot fire.
13. Sit back and enjoy!

Burrrrrrrrr!

Good Morning Friends. I hope you are all staying warm on this very cold morning. Jackson had a 2 hr delay because of the cold weather and many of my friends kids are staying home today because of this huge winter storm hitting our country. Its crazy cold and I am so thankful that I got to sleep in until 9am. Jackson was hoping that I would let him play hookie today....NOT. He had missed enough and we have to save some of those days incase he gets sick or something. I don't plan on leaving again at all today. I am inside for the remainder of the day and night. I got all my errands ran yesterday just so I could stay in and warm on one of the coldest days of the winter season. Our electric has went on and off a few times already this morning because of the cold temperatures and high winds. Perfect huh? Lets just hope now that it is warming up a bit -9 degrees - it will stay on. I need more heat than just the fireplace...so fingers crossed!

I plan on cleaning the house up on the 2nd floor first and hopefully it won't take too long. I am hoping within the hour I can finish up and head to the second floor and then make some videos. I have a clothes haul coming up in a bit plus an amazing firestarter for any fireplace that I like to make each winter. So stay tuned for those videos.. plus a recipe popping up a bit later! I am going to get busy around here so it doesn't take me all day. I hope you are staying warm on this very very cold morning. I recommend staying home as much as possible!

Fall Days...

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you all are having a great day! I am taking it slow today. I got up super early yesterday and accomplished everything I wanted but today its about taking it a little easier. Jackson is home today for Presidents Day and is currently upstairs playing on his xbox. I was just outside where the trees are swaying back and forth and leaves are flying around in the wind. Its so pretty but so damn cold! I am so use to having the back sliding glass doors open but with this weather, everything is all closed up and the heat is going. Let me just say, I am not a fan of the cold weather in any way but I do really enjoy the colors, smells and taste of autumn. This time of year is always like the kick off of autumn season for me. As you can imagine, my days are packed full of activities that will carry on till after the first of the year. Most of the time, I love being busy..getting all the items checked off my to-do list always makes me feel good. Between juggling my YouTube channels,  websites, and all of my social media outlets as well as holiday planning, cooking and baking, gatherings, and travel, my days are indeed filled to the fullest!  I have so many things lined up over the next 8 weeks that I would never get done without a detailed game plan. I am already doing daily vlogs of my housewife life but I am also filming other videos almost daily too that take up most of my spare time. Not to mention editing and uploading.

Our Thanksgiving always changes year to year. Normally, if we are traveling over Christmas, we host a nice Thanksgiving to see the family and friends who we are not going to be with in December. But if we are hosting Christmas, we either stay home and have a small Thanksgiving or travel to our families homes. This year we are hosting Thanksgiving and then we are heading to Florida to spend Christmas there with more family and friends. So staying organized is going to be super important so we can easily navigate through Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have a entire youtube series on Holiday Planning and Organization to show you how I keep it all straight. Stay tuned for the first video in the series popping up this week! I hope it gives you some inspiration to get more organized so you can worry less and spend more time celebrating. Stay tuned!

Its so hard for me to get motivated in cool weather. Its a problem I have had for years. So I need to warm up this house a little bit so I can get up and start working on the dreaded Tuesday to-do list. One of the things I needed to do and have already accomplished is - creating a new signature for blog post - and look below.. I got it done last night! This is one of those little jobs that was waiting on me for a while. But its done! Hope you like it! Oh and another one of those items on my to do list is fixing my sponsor page. Being I left passion fruit a month or so ago, I decided I would take the remainder of the year to switch over to another Ad Company and get my page redone. I guess I should put a quick note on that page but don't worry...in January we will get back to sponsors and button swaps!

Shit it's COLD!!!

I am kinda running late with this post. I have been awake for a couple hours but its been too cold to break out the computer! I woke up to the house being 65 upstairs. Last night, husby and I started feeling pretty chilly about 1am so I decide to turn on the heat for the first time. I have been running the heat on the first floor but had yet to turn it on upstairs. So make the switch over on the little wall unit and within 2 minutes all the fire alarms started going off. It was crazy. The animals were flipping out, Scott had to get up and go into the attic to make sure there was no fire up there. We decided we had better turn it off until we could be awake to make sure nothing bad happens. So this morning it was more than just a little cool. It was freezing! I decide about 10am to turn on the heat again upstairs. I quickly jumped out of the bed, switched it over again and back under the covers I went. Its pretty dang cold outside and our house was no different. Thankfully, no fire alarms have went off today. Over and over I would jump out of the bed to do something and seconds later, I would be right back snuggled under the blankets. Thank goodness for heat otherwise I would probably still be under those blankets! I am trying my best to " get along " with winter and not hate it so much. Well, in order for that to happen, the heat has to be going inside! I have a pretty busy day. I think I am going to take Scott lunch here in a bit, I have a teacher parent conference at Jackson's school at 4pm and I also have stuff to do around the house and I want to film today. Lots to squeeze in. I am trying to warm my bones up with heat and coffee so I can get ready and head out the door. I am sure he is waiting on me! Anyway, I hope you had a warm start to your day! Happy Saturday!

Good afternoon friends! I am running a little late today but that's whats so great about weekends! I love being able to sleep in and not having to worry about waking up to a loud ass alarm clock to get Jackson to school on time. However, I woke up today to a kid free house which scared me to death. I called Scott asap and asked him where is my son?? He said..." Oh don't worry, he went to Davids about 10:30. WHAT!?  I wasn't too happy that he left this morning and he did leave a note but that sure didn't make me feel much better. I tried calling him...the phone was dead so I got in the car 5 minutes after I was out of the bed. I found Mr. Jackson, and had a nice little talk about not leaving before I get up and to ALWAYS ALWAYS take his phone which should always be charged and back out he went. I didn't flip out because I had talked to Scott but it could have been a very crazy day if I hadn't found him. I am so not use to waking up and him not being here. I am just glad I set eyes on him, talk to him and know that he is ok. Little boys make a lot of dumb decisions...and I really worry about him. 

Morning!

Good Morning Friends! I am not so happy that I had to crawl out of my warm comfy bed this morning. Neither was Jackson. He kept begging me to let him stay home but there was no way. And we are not the only sleepy heads because Scott was still sound asleep when I got back home. Sometimes its just hard finding motivation in the morning. I am sitting here watching the sun rise with coffee in hand but no amount of coffee is ever going to make me a morning person! I don't know if I am going to stay up or not. It would be better if I just stay awake but its going to be hard. I do have more errands that I have to run later but I might just wait till tomorrow when Scott will be home with me. Maybe I will be able to catch up on some videos later. Who knows! 

When I was driving home watching the sunrise across the mountains was so beautiful. 

I love that we are so close to the glorious Blue Ridge Mountains. Even if I am stuck at the computer all day, I can just look out the window at those glorious mountains and feel at peace. I have always felt torn between the beach and the mountains. Both bring me peace and I am lucky that I get both most years. Part of the time in the Mountains and the other part at the beach! Even though I am still under the weather at the beginning of this week, I am so enjoying these l beautiful mountains, gorgeous fall colors, and my sweet family to complete the experience.  I hope you are enjoying your days as well, and finding moments to enjoy the beauty of the season even with the daily to-dos. The fall beauty is everywhere right now and I am soaking it all in because before long, we will loose all the leaves and pretty colors which will be replaced by cold bleak winter days. I am hoping that we don't have a harsh winter but I am afraid it will come fast.. and last for a while. It seems like December and January are the worst months for me. The shorter days, lack of sun, all contribute to the winter blues. I am going to try to stay focused this year and not let that influence me that much. But the weather always plays a big part in my moods. 

Anyway, I am going to enjoy this beautiful fall day and try to accomplish scratching items off my to do list one job at a time! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! I will be back soon with more posts and yesterdays Glam Gossip Vlog!

Rain from the Heavens.

Its another rainy afternoon around here today. I have already been out and about.. getting soaked in the process. So today I took my underwater camera back to Sams. I just hated the video quality so I exchanged it. There are still going to be a few videos popping up here and there that was recorded with that camera but from this point on.. the videos should look much better. I uploaded a video yesterday on how to tell when your cat is about to go into labor and it looked pretty dark. I will have it up on here in just a bit but understand it was taken with the other camera so its not the best quality. But I am leaving it up. I have been racing against the clock because all night Gabby looked like she was about to go into labor. I am just happy happy that I am back and have a new camera to record the birth of the kittens! Last night I thought for sure that it was about to happen. We are close.. very close! 

Thursday..

Afternoon friends. I hope you are having a great afternoon. Things are pretty quiet around here still.. :)  I don't really feel like getting into all the details but last night.. and the night before were full of drama and problems. AGAIN. Last night Scott and I finally feel good.. we are talking and then the kids hit us again with a problem that knocks us out of our socks. I seriously think we ( husby and I ) are close to have a nervous breakdown. I seriously don't know what the hell is going on around here. Scott and I get our first calm and easy day in a long time...and then the kids go crazy..and the ex's start calling. Yea. Not so fun. Then to make matters even more interesting.. my phone dies....and my mom can't get a hold of me. By this point, the kids are in trouble.. I took all the electronics and phones away from them. So she's calling Brittany and cant get her. Then checks facebook and such.. no activity there.. so she sends me a message that says - You have 15 minutes to call me or I'm calling the police! - WHAT!?? Thankfully I signed on to facebook right after she sent that message and called right away. I was just hoping that I was in the time constraints! She giggled when I called and said " You know I have a wild imagination " and I couldn't get a hold of anyone. Thank goodness I made it in time or police officers would have been knocking at the door last night. 

And then we got some insane weather last night too. Check out these pictures of a tree up lifted. 

I thought we were going to loose our electricity last night but we didn't.  It flickered on and off for a while but it actually stayed on for us. I worked on laundry all night and finally collapsed in bed much later than I should have. Today I have a lot to do and then we are heading off to the YMCA this evening. Scott and I are just hoping that today is the day that it will actually be calm. Fingers crossed. This summer has wore us all out emotionally. I'm not just talking about Scott and I either. The kids too. I think we all need the break of the school year to help focus us on something different and give us a fresh start. God knows we need it. 

Anyway, I miss you guys! I haven't been able to blog that much with everything that has been going on.. but I will try to catch up with you guys more in the coming days! I hope you have a great Thursday!

Thunder & Rain = NO INTERNET!

Very late night hello to you all. Right now I am writing/typing this on Word waiting for the internet to start working again. We had some really bad storms that knocked out power for a bit and the internet is still out. Thankfully we still have tv but its frustrating not being able to get online! When this post does go live, it will be from handy dandy copy & paste! Things around here tonight were pretty good. The kids and I met Scott at the pool in the evening. I didn't do a bunch of laps..instead, I took it easy in the hot tub for a long while and then just played with the kids. It was a easy time but it was still exercise of sorts. Towards the end of swimming, the pool was closed due to lightening. We drove through really bad weather trying to get home.. and I had to make a quick stop at the grocery store. I don’t know what it is about shopping but EVERY TIME I have went, its poured down on me. We get an insane amount of rain around here. I would have never guessed but we are in an area that it rains almost every day. I’m not complaining because I do love the rain but it hasn't really even felt like summer around here. Its not that hot and its been more like late spring weather. Funny, we are only a few hours from where we just moved from and the weather was nothing like this. So far, I am slowly learning my way around our new town. I still haven’t ventured a lot away from home but we are trying to get use to to things. I don’t mind being here. I hated Shelby NC and was happy happy to move.. so I am hoping to continue to like it here! I don’t get out to do much to begin with but I am starting to explore around. 

Tomorrow I have a – littervention- review, contest, and giveaway for all you kitty cat owners! I am super excited to tell you about it and I hope you take the time to enter both the giveaways.. Be sure to come back and check out all the details in the video and bloggy post! I have been working hard on videos.. and have many ready to publish! My goal is 1 a day.. which isn’t impossible. The days we don’t go to the pool, I take time to film. It’s not easy to find a quiet place when the kids are in the house! But I keep trying! Honestly, my schedule is kinda insaine right now. I wake up at whatever time, take about an hour to myself to watch the news, feed the animals, and enjoy coffee.. then I get up, work around the house, along with my “ normal “ blog posts.. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I leave in the early evenings to go swimming.. Then on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I work on videos and housework.. and in the nights I work on laundry. For the first time ever our washer and dryer is on the second floor. I find myself working on laundry at night when I come upstairs to get ready for bed. Not to mention, I play with the kids, walk the dog, cook dinner.. I always seem to be busy doing something. Maybe that’s why I like my peaceful mornings! 

Yea! Its 2:48 and its back to working! That wasn't so bad! With all this rain, I should know where the emergency candles are but they are still packed sitting out in the garage. Not so handy.Well I am going to get some rest so I can have another busy day at home tomorrow! I hope you all had a great Wednesday and an even better Thursday!

Sweaters & Tea

Its pretty cool here today. Instead of feeling like spring, its feeling like fall. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I have been bundled up all day drinking warm beverages. I am seriously thinking when the sun goes down that we are going to need the fireplace. 

Well, Jackson woke up with no fever. I  didn't take him right into school, instead I let him stay home for a while until I knew he was better. He still has a runny nose, a cough and he just feels bad. However, he's missed enough school that I made him go for a few hours. He's back in bed right now. Scott got up and headed into work but he called and said he was on the way to the Dr. and then coming home. WOW.  What happened with the boys!? I think Jackson brought something home from school and gave it to Scott. By the grace of God, I haven't been sick. Scott is now headed to the pharmacy and then probably coming home and going back to bed. Its probably going to be a very quiet house tonight. 

Wednesday Inspiration..

Good Morning. I hope you guys are getting a good start to your day. I woke up feeling pretty good so I think I am going to go do my shopping about lunch time so I am back home before Jackson gets out of school. Its a beautiful day here already. Something about the sunshine does make it a little harder to just lay in bed. When I get up, I like to open the windows..get the sun pouring in.. and days when I can enjoy coffee 

on the back deck first thing in the morning is away's a good thing! 

So today is a day of shopping.. I will probably make a video..and then work around the house some. Since its going to be such a nice day I want to take a walk with Cooper and Jackson in the afternoon. I also have some laundry that I want to get hung out before I leave. Its nice letting the sun and fresh air dry the towels and sheets. I have a couple tips coming up next Tuesday line drying.. so stay tuned. Its nice to not have to run the big dryer in the spring and summer. I don't mind hanging things out.. it saves on energy and bills.. and its natural..I have a line down in the yard and I also use the railings of the deck to hang clothes on too. And it works just fine!

I know today isn't going to be that easy for me. I stayed up too late last night.. but I am just going to start and see where I end up!

Spring has Sprung!

Its such a pretty day here! I feel so lucky to have woke up every single day this week to beautiful sunny weather! Yea!! I am so tired of the cold! Right now I have all the windows open and it really feels nice out. I am thinking about cleaning out the garage today but I have so much damn laundry to do that I doubt I will get to it. Speaking of laundry, I have a TON of it to do today and tomorrow. Since its super nice out, I am thinking I will hang as much as I can outside to dry. Maybe that will help speed things up!

I was suppose to be able to sleep in today but little Jackson woke me up a little earlier than I had hoped. The xbox was in my room and Jackson couldn't wait to get me out of bed so he could play his games. Perfect huh? I can promise you that tonight I plan on moving that out of my bedroom so tomorrow.. I can really sleep in! 

Husby is working today. ): But he should be home at a reasonable hour tonight! I loved having him home yesterday. He works wayyyyy too many hours and I miss him. Actually I plan on sending him on a couple errands before he gets home so he might just be a little later. But at least he is home tomorrow too!

I have a guest post to get done by tomorrow.. Its being featured on another blog... which is super exciting! I will tell you more about it later! I also have to catch up with the A-Z Challenge too. I got K & L to catch up by Monday. I was just so tired yesterday that I didn't have the chance to do it. So stay tuned!

Open Windows..

Its a rainy night here.. Really rainy. I am laying in bed with the windows open and loving listening to the rain and thunder. I am actually sleeping with the window open for another reason too. We have tornados all around us and I figure I will hear the alarm better ( if they sound them ) so I can get everyone in a safe spot. Lets just hope it keeps raining and the tornadoes stay away! I am happy that tomorrow husby is going to be home with me. I am also happy that he is being sweet and taking Jackson to school tomorrow. He told me to not even set my alarm! Yea!!! That means I get 3 days alarm free and I love that! I don't know what we are doing tomorrow. Its suppose to be a very rainy day so we might just stay home and veg out. Just having him here means a lot to me. Its not always so easy to get him to take his days off either... so I hope we can just enjoy the day. 

Not much went on around here. Last night I actually fell asleep on an ice pack because my head was hurting so badly. Then I wake up with the same damn headache. I took some meds.. slept till almost 1 pm. Then I woke up and felt like crap but the pain was gone. It was hard to get motivated to do anything today. Basically I didn't do anything all day or all evening. I didn't even cook and warmed up left overs instead. And no one seemed to mind. Thankfully right now I am feeling much better.. tired but better. 

Jackson brought home his report card and it was really good. All B's and 1 C. There is room for improvement but I am sure happy his grades are doing good! 

If we do stay home tomorrow I hope to edit some upcoming videos. I have some really cute kitty cat footage and I continue to work my daily meal vlog with some great menu ideas and pointers! I am also excited to be advertising this blog on some other blogs I love! Hopefully some new friends will join into our glamorous conversations about life, kids, pets, food.. you name it! Wake Up!

Have I mentioned how much I HATE my alarm clock? Well I do.. I hate that damn thing. It startles me awake.. pretty much scaring me to death until I hit the snooze button. I just got Jackson to school and I am debating if I should stay up or doze back off. I am thinking it would be ok.. being I worked hard on the house yesterday! Who knows.. its never that easy to fall back to sleep. I do have to get out and run some errands later today. I am still working on the getting the lists together. I need to run to the market.. the Dollar Store and also drop off some redbox movies. But again.. I have all day and evening to make that happen. Husby isn't taking his day off until Friday so my goal is to have everything done where I can just enjoy the day with him instead of worrying about getting the house together. No matter how clean the house is.. I always have to take about an hour a day to make the beds and straighten the house up each day.. except normally on Sundays I don't like to make the beds! I get so many questions about how I spend my days... that I am thinking about doing a blog post on it. Speaking of questions.. I have a new Ask the Housewife Post coming up later today! Thank you so much for all your questions. I only got around to answering 15 of them but you can always check out the past questions and answers to see if your question has already been answered! And in a few weeks I will try to do another one because I got over 50 questions! There is no way I could get each one answered in 1 post! Maybe it should be a weekly post.. but I don't know.. We'll just have to wait and see!

I am so happy about it too. Another day to have the windows open.. sun shinning in and breeze blowing through the house! It suppose to be warm all week so maybe spring is finally here!

Storms..

Its been raining here all day. Seriously... all day long. The dog is going crazy wanting outside to go play. Maybe I husband should have listened to me a long time ago about getting Super Cooper a raincoat! He just wouldn't do it..but on days like this.. it would be much easier. Every time he comes in and out we have to wipe of his paws...dry him off with a towel...and hes a BIG dog! It wares me out drying him off. We have all been taking it pretty easy today. Well, husby crashed out a few hours ago and is really enjoying a  late afternoon nap and little Jackson is playing on the xbox. I just got done with a little more kitchen organizing  I am close to being done!! I am so tired of storing shit we just don't use anymore. I want it gone..and I want things to stay clean and organized!!! 

Morning!

Ha! I am not spilling the coffee this morning! I hope you all are getting a great start to your day. Its bright and sunny around here.. I slept great last night and woke up about 830 and have been up since. It does feel pretty good getting on somewhat a normal schedule. I thought since its spring break for Jackson that I would sleep in more today but it just didn't happen. I don't want to stay up too late and get all screwed up again ( sleep wise ) so I am just trying to go along with what my body wants. 

Messy...

This morning is not starting out as well as I had hoped. It is freezing outside and I also spilled coffee everywhere in the kitchen this morning. SHIT!!!!! I did my best to get it cleaned up while I was basically sleep walking and Jackson helped but its still a sticky mess. I wiped everything down and in just a little while, I need to mop otherwise its going to stay sticky. Gosh.. that sure didn't help things. We were trying to get out of the door on time and it just slipped out of my hands. Thank goodness the drop didn't shatter the cup but its just wasn't the way I wanted to start today. ): I guess I made more work for myself today. Thankfully I got Jackson to school on time.. HAPPY HAPPY that today is the last day for a while...so I am just going to take this morning easy. I am blogging from bed right now.. and yes, there is another cup of coffee next to me on the coffee table which has not spilled.. yet! I am thinking today might be perfect for me to go back to sleep for a while. Why not!? Clearly today hasn't started off so well. And its freezing outside. I think the high for today is suppose to be around 53. Guess that's getting a little better. Jackson asked today why they call it - Spring Break - when its still freezing outside. Good point huh? I know we don't have to deal with the cold as much as some other friends but I still want it warmer! 

Well I am going to figure out if I am going back to dreamland or not.. and finish this cup of coffee! (:
