Week in Review w/ VLOG! July 7 - 13, 2014

 Hello friends!Welcome to Monday huh!? It came too early and too fast for me.  Normally every Monday or at the beginning of the week, I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our weekend. I also vlogged a little each day which you can see in the video below. I have been trying to move all my video's to my main channel including the vlogs but for right now I am uploading them to both channels. I think that is the best way to do it right now but eventually they will probably all move to my housewife life main youtube channel. I hope you don't mind but I have been trying to figure out a way to make everyone happy. I don't expect you to watch them twice but now you will be able to find my vlogs on both channels.

#Summerfit + Testing Out a New Underwater Camera { Video}

#Summerfit Vlog- From Start to Finish! -[ Video ]

So yesterday was our normal day to go do some swimming. As you will see in the video below.. it wasn't easy getting started. I just wanted to stay home and  not go work out. And swimming laps is a work out. When I am finished, my heart rate is up, my face is red, and I am wore out! I  big fitness fanatic.. Really, I am just trying to get my body feeling better in every way. I am eating a little more healthy...putting some excise in my life.. and trying to center my soul. Believe me, I never work out and I can do laps! I have really been enjoying our time at the YMCA. I think its well worth it. And just so you know, they do work with you if you are on a lower income which is nice. I know a lot of families just don't have the $75 a month for a membership. Just go to your local YMCA website and print the form. The idea is to just to add as much as you are comfortable to your healthy routine and keep increasing little by little. The YMCA is a great place to start it.

Too Much Thinking and Not Enough Sleeping..

Late night hello to you all. Since I can't sleep.. I figured why not blog. I am tired.. actually I am exhausted but no amount of sleep seems to help. Things have been so crazy that I wake up all hours or the night and morning with stomach aches...or I wake up from a crazy dream that brings thought after thought flowing through my sleepy mind. Today I think my lack of sleep and all the problems going on around here finally caught up to me. It seemed everywhere I went I was either pissing people off or getting pissed off. It all started with what happened around here a few days ago. Since our big life changing day.. its been hell. I have been depressed, angry, confused and  sad. scared too. I didn't really venture out since Saturday night. Sunday I was home all day except when Scott and I left to get some stiff drinks and food. Then Monday.. nothing. Tuesday..nothing.. Seriously.. I just sat on the couch all day yesterday and wallowed. I knew I had no business mingling around the public. The cats were out of wet food.. the house was a mess.. and I just didn't give a shit. Brittany upset me so bad yesterday that I was on the phone screaming at her father.. who was trying to calm me down. Now that's one for the books. He never tries to calm me down. Normally he's more of a instigator. Guess he knew how serious it was. Scott seemed pretty upset that Tuesday I wasn't cooking. Yea right. I wasn't going to do that..so around 10pm I ordered a pizza for the kids and went to bed. So today.. I wake up, with the same things on my mind.. and can't get back to sleep. I stumbled to the coffee pot, and then notice that one of the cats left me a big hairball in the middle of the floor. I seriously just stepped over and proceeded to the couch. I think I remained there pretty much the entire day. Around 5pm, I started quickly picking up the house. I just couldn't look at it any longer. But it wasn't like a day of cleaning. It was 30 minutes with the kids, getting the worst areas picked up. I really knew I should not be in public with my attitude but I had promised the kids that we would go swimming. 

YMCA SummerFit! [ Video's ]

I am starting to ty to get healthy. First thing I started with was supplements and vitamins. Then I joined the YMCA.. So come along and watch not only my own journey, but my families journey to get more healthy! This is a new series starting up.. I hope you get inspired and start making some healthy changes! If you are already on a fitness routine.. feel free to share what works for you! Around here, we are all beginners! I am including the vitamin video below also in case you missed it!

Tuesday.

Hello and Happy Tuesday to you all! I hope you are having a great day. I am trying to get motivated but God knows.. I am just exhausted and just don't want to do anything. Yesterday wasn't the best day for  Scott and I. We both seemed to bitch more than anything. Not so fun for any of us so I just went to bed early. I think with everything going on, neither of us truly feel appreciated. Its just been a lot to get moved with the kids here.. get adjusted to a new city that we don't know.. and still have all the problems of every day life. Let's just say.. its been stressful to say the least. Hopefully tonight will be better. I always say that I have a real marriage. There are really good times and also there are times when its not so good. I don't really want to bash my husband.. being I know it's not all him. We both have our own issues but it's nothing that we can't work through but I really did want to ring his neck last night! I left last night to go get some sweet tea and frosties.. Brittany and Zane thought I ran away. Then they realized my favorite cat was still here so there was no way I wasn't coming back! Hahaha! I pretended my little trip to Wendys at 1am was a vacation but running away really isn't an option with a houseful of kids! Brittany pointed out that she will always find me.. and I know she would! Once I came home we had to have a talk about marriage...the kids hate it when we don't get along and they have questions if they here us arguing. So I explained that marriage is hard sometimes but that doesn't mean you give up. Honestly.. Scott feels over worked and under appreciated and I feel the very same way. He feels that way with his outside job and I feel that way with the kids and house. I think we need a vacation! :)

Weekend in Review!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great start to the week. I know Monday's suck for most people but around here.. its summer! That means staying up late.. sleeping in without alarm clocks.. and having fun! Right now the kids are all still asleep and the house is quiet. I hate to admit it, but I am actually enjoying every minute! We didn't have a ton of plans this past weekend. We have been moving so we just wanted to take it as easy. Scott and I are both exhausted but the kids has energy that goes on and on and on and on! 

They had a water-balloon fight ( which I did video but haven't got up yet ) and then it was playtime with the hose. 

Scavenger Hunt Time!!!

Yesterday I decided to start the summer off with a Scavenger hunt! I use to love doing these and thought it would be a lot of fun and it would also get them out of the house for a while! I decided to pay the winners $10 each and let me tell you now...IT WAS MONEY WELL SPENT! They were out there almost 4 hours hunting for stuff! Like I said.. Well Spent!

their bags and lists they got together and came up with plans on where to find all the items. Some of the stuff they had to take pictures of with their phones.. and I liked the idea they had their phones with GPS with them while they are running around the woods searching for things.

Summer Egg Fight [ Video ]

 Its been a fun few days.. yesterday we did a big Scvanager Hunt with the kids ( pictures coming soon! ) and today mom wanted to have an egg fight with them! It was a lot of fun watching! I stood back and took pictures and video and let them get all " yolky " , if you will!

Jackson completes his FIRST TRIATHLON!!

Saturday Jackson completed his first Triathlon at 9 years old!! It was super early.. I wasn't feeling good, so husby went in my place and got some pictures! 

First up.. Jackson had to get numbered! 

Day @ Charlotte Discovery Place with my most favorite boys!

Today was a lot of fun at the Hands on Discovery Center.. We were going to the Zoo but we decided we had better find something in doors because of the rain.. 

This was perfect!

I took a ton of pictures and decided that I would share them in a slideshow way because it was just easier with so many photos. I should and will do this more often!

I love polar bears and I loved this one except it 

makes me kinda sad to see it this way.. but beautiful huh!?

Another..

Sunday Family Fun Day! 

Plans have changed.. Its raining.. so we are crossing off the Zoo and heading to the Discovery Center for a few hours of fun. I still wish we were going to the zoo but we don't want to walk around in the rain so we had to switch plans!



I think Jackson is actually happy because he won't have to walk as much.. but we are going to get ourselves together and get out to have some fun!

Our Latest Creations!!

Right before Brittany went back to her dads we got headed back to Art Blooms for some painting!

He picked out a ice cream cone to paint .. the top comes off and 

you can put things in it.

and I got the kitty coffee cup! 

I looooooooove the back the most!!

This is never a cheap activity for us but we enjoy it so much! I know we will be going back in the winter when we are seeking indoor things to do!

Pieces of my day..

Hello! I hope you all had a good day. I have to admit, I was lazy a lot of the day. I wish it wasn't the case but a lot of my day was spent laying around not doing much of anything except watching tv with Jackson and talking about the upcoming school year. That little boy has a million questions for me a day. I swear with as much as he asks me.. he should know me better than anyone! 

I know it might not seem like with all the posting going on but most of the coupon posts take me less than 2 or 3 minutes to get posted. The review and other posts take me longer but blogging doesn't take up as much of my day as it may seem. And I can type really fast so if the house is quiet I can breeze through many blog posts at rapid speed! Plus I am blessed with not working outside the house so I can make my own schedule most days. Normally phone calls or a talkative little boy is what makes me take forever on writing a blog post. 

Thankfully right now I am in bed and when I am done with this, I am going to get my sleep meds in me and call it a night. I desperately need sleep. Brittany and Jackson had me up wayyy to early this morning and I never went back to sleep.

She is such a regal cat. She knows that she is better than most people! 

As I said we just kinda hung around the house today.. and that included going out back and 

Playing the Monopoly Card Game.

Have you tried this game in your homes yet? 

This is a great little game 

that is fun, easier and much faster than the regular Monopoly game! Basically, you just have to get 3 full sets of properties but its not that easy because you have a bunch of action cards that get in the way.. such as Debt Collector or Sly Deal where you can steal cards from the other players. Jackson loves this game.. All the kids loved it this summer!! 

I did manage to get the downstairs bathroom really cleaned up. It was a mess and now its all sparkly clean which makes me totally happy. I just hope it stays that way! I also worked on some of the plants outside but I am not finished out there. It started  

raining in the afternoon and lasted for hours. We are suppose to get rain again tomorrow so if I am going to work outside.. I am going to have to do it fast in between the storms. 

Since I was stuck inside in the later part of the afternoon, I figured it would be the perfect time to open the Jaggers Family Pet Spa.

All the kitty cats got their nails trimmed, ears cleaned out and baths..

This was not a happy boy but now he is all fluffy and running around the house at warp speeds. I just had to kick him out of the bedroom because he was raising so much hell! Isn't he adorable!? 

We don't have any big plans tomorrow. Being August is National Picnic week ( see the post here )..I thought it would be fun to take Jackson to the creek and have a picnic down on the rocks. But the weather is not looking so good for a picnic. We might go shopping or something but no big plans. Husby gets off at a reasonable time so hopefully he will come home and we can have some family time! I miss him so much on his late nights. I can't wait till Jackson gets to school and we have Tuesdays to ourselves. We desperately need that alone time together.

Art Day!

Right before we took Brittany home, we had another day @ Art Blooms. The kids and I loved it there. Brittany wanted to make something for her father ...

She picked out this deer.

And Jackson picked out the ice cream cone..

We all got busy painting.. 

They have to be fired so we can't get them for a week.. =(  I can't wait to see how they turn out! We really enjoy going here and I can promise you that Jackson and I will be back a lot during the fall and winter. I love have these sitting around the house. They are the sweetest little decorations!
