Vlogidays: What we got for Christmas 2014!

Hello friends! I hope you guys all had a wonderful Christmas. I am not a huge fan of showing off gifts in videos but I know a lot of you guys are interested in seeing them. So for no other reason I am showing you some of the items Scott and I received. Jackson got a lot of video game stuff that I am not sharing and Brittany got a lot of girly stuff too. Some of the items I got other people are in the other vlogidays vlogs so be sure to check them out if you want to see more gift ideas.

Cuisinart CBK-200 2-Pound Convection Automatic Breadmaker: I really was against bread machines until I got older and kneading bread became painful for my hands. Scott found me this nice machine to make the job easier! I have already used it a couple of times and it did a great job. But I do have to learn to use it for everything it can do! 

PARIKHS Round Cut Diamond Stud Popular Quality in 10-14k White & Yellow Gold: I wanted more earrings that I could just leave in all the time. I don't like to wear dangley kind of earrings on a daily basis...they just get on my nerves. So the boys found a pair of pretty diamonds that I can just leave in all the time. 

Celestial Dreams Women's Long Sleeve V Neck PJ Set Who doesn't love a comfy pair of pj's!? I sure do and I will wear them all year long. I loved the pink plaid but what I really love is how soft they are. I think they found my particular set at our local Walmart.

Taylor Swift Eau de Parfum Spray, Taylor, 3.4 Ounce: I don't use a lot of parfum but normally at Christmas Scott tries to find me a scent that is not too strong. I get migraines easily so I have to be careful. This year he got a Taylor Swift parfum that has a light fun scent that I really like! 

Josie Maran Beautiful Drems Agran Hydro Collection : In addition to the wonderful cruise from my mom and Don, she also picked me out this Agran Hydo Collection from Josie Maran. I have never used it but really excited to see how well it works for me. I couldn't find the full kit but the link will take you where you can find everything that I got.

HALO Women's RFID Wallet & 3000 mAh Portable Phone Charger: Leave it to my mom to find the cool gifts! She found this wonderful charging wallet that can charge 2 items at once. It's sleek and I have already tried it and it worked great.

New Beauty Test Tube: This gift from my mom and Don was right up my alley. I had never tried New Beauty Test Tube. This came with some amazing products to try out....and I can't wait!

Buddy Pouch: I thought this was a silly mom gift when I first saw it. I thought fannies packs were out but when I looked at it a little closer this is a wonderful way to carry things under clothes as well as out in view as well. Perfect for anytime you are going to be out and about at night or when hiking or working out. I will totally use this! 

Dammit Doll: Here is a funny gift from mom! She thought this would be a great way to relieve some stress. Its super funny and now lives on my desk!

Shutterfly Mousepads: Shutterfly does a ton of great holiday gifts. Mom got some custom mousepads that have our family picture on. Another custom gift that I love.

Orgami Owl Necklace: My sister started selling custom Origami Owl jewelry. She made me a beautiful necklace and I think as we go into the new year, I might just have to make a bracelet myself! 

Love this Life Bracelet  My best friend got me this beautiful friendship bracelet that I totally love. I couldn't find the exact one I got, but the link will take to you to a bunch of these pretty bracelets.

Aqua Owl Spoon Rest&Aqua Owl Utensil Crock: My sister in law found these amazing owl kitchen items. I love world market and had never heard of them before and now I will be shopping a lot more with them! I got the spoon rest and utensil crock that already have a place in my kitchen.

Bath & Body Works Forever Red Perfume & Body Lotion: Our friend Jeff got me a Forever Red Perfume and lotion. I was nervous this is too strong but it smells amazing and not too strong.

Sweet Night Owl Design Manicure Set: My sister in law knows I love owls and thought this would be great to be able to toss in my purse or even my nightstand. I love it!

Here are a few of Scott's gifts. 

Oscar Pour Lui 2pcs gift Set for Men by Oscar De La Renta: Scott loves to smell good and got a lot of cologne for Christmas. This was a gift from our friend Jeff. It smells amazing. 

Assoriment of smuggling items from smugglebooze.com: On our last cruise my sister and Scott both smuggled booze on our cruise. And it was in scope bottles which I guess was awful. This year they figured out a new way and she set Scott up! She also gave him a bunch of lighters....which is kinda like a inside joke!

Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch; I think this cologne for Scott was from my mom. I think she got him the same thing last year and he loved how it smelled, so he got it again! 

Armani Code for Men: This is the cologne I picked out for him. It smells amazing and I love it. 

Mesmerize For Men Cologne Spray: His sister got him a ton of Avon Cologne and this one smells the best! I love it and so does Scott. 

Rhodium-Plated Checkered Cuff Links & Tie Bar Set: Our friend Jeff got him these cuff links and he also got us a clock and some kind of sleep machine. It was totally unexpected but very kind.

I even got a few Christmas gifts for myself! Here they are!

Thirty- One Large Utility Tote w/ Lid : I had to have one of these after my sister in law showed me hers. I bought the lid too and have used it since the moment I got it. Its a total love for me.

Thirty - One Canvas Crew Carry-All; I decided to get one of their canvas carry alls for anytime I need an extra bag. Both are personalized and I plan on getting more!

Thirty - Large Owl Zipper Pouch: I bought one for myself at Thanksgiving and my Trina gave me 2 more for Christmas. I love these. Right now the owl pouch is sold out but Trina has 2 for sale if you are interested. Just shoot her an email @ bgt8ird@gmail.com if your interested. 

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Complexion Starter Kit: I really wanted to try this so I thought why not. I do like it but I can seriously find basically the same thing at the drugstore for a fraction of the price. I like it though and will continue to use it.

Owl Handbag: I saw a cute owl purse in Cato's and loved it. All though I couldn't find my exact purse the link will take you to more owl purses that are totally cute!

Over Christmas we were all in Florida and Scott & I decided to not try to haul gifts from state to state but come home and order them instead. Things for 2014 + What I got for Christmas!

Happy new year friends! I have been laying around most of the day working on blog post. I know that I have been pumping out the videos but the holidays are over which means, I am able to focus on the blog a bit more. Its been such a wonderful time of year.

There was a lot of fun leading up to Christmas in Florida and now that it's over we're really seeing life get back to normal.  Overall, we had a really great Christmas week filled with lots of family, new friends, yummy food and  treats, getting spoiled, thoughtful gifts, kids excitement and tons of giggles, sparkly lights, warm fires, holiday tunes, snuggling, long talks, sweet texts, pretty bows, shipping frustrations, ( Thanks Khols ) reminiscing, teeny pieces of wrapping paper, messy hair, sunshine, unexpected but sweet visits, late nights, early mornings, resolutions and lots of planning for 2014, lots of last minute shopping, daily videos, excitement, lots of giftcards, stacking wood, thank you phone calls sand so so much love.

And for New Years we enjoyed a nice steak dinner together at Longhorns. It was super yummy and even though we had a good time, I found it to be a great teaching lesson to my son. He is still learning manners at 11 years old and last night was no exception. So he might say I was acting like a drill Sargent, but in reality I was reminding him to use his manners in every way. Then we came home, we all got in our warm cozy pjs and enjoyed the night lounging around.  We brought in the New Year together as a family and I loved it. I like New Years at home... lets face it, its so much safer.

Today I have been planing so much. 2014 has a huge to do list for me... here's just a few..

• Return Tripod and exchange game at Game Stop.
• Find time to go to the post office box. Lots of mail waiting.. I'm sure. 
• Vacuum the entire house.... after getting a replacement belt. 
• Clean up files on both phone and laptop.
• Go to Shelby one last time to pick up prescriptions. Thankfully on Thursday we have a apt at a new LOCAL Dr. :))
• On that same day we have a lady coming to give an estimate on cleaning the house. We are just checking into it. I really want someone to come in for 4 hrs a week...spend 2 hrs upstairs, 2 hours down stairs. We'll see. Until then I have to stick to a cleaning schedule to keep this big house cleaned up. 
• I think Jackson needs more mommy time....so going to really focus on that more in 2014. You know one of my friends felt she was spending too much time on fb and not with her baby and deleted her account. Wow. I can't do that but I sure admire her for it. 
• I have lists and lists of new blog posts and videos coming up for 2014. The ideas just keep running through my brain.....wayyyy too many! 
• I know I have been doing mostly videos but I am trying to balance things out a little more now and hopefully I will get back to writing some daily, weekly, monthly, blog posts. :) But do expect a lot of videos too! 
• Organize. For 2014 I want to be even more organized around our home. It makes everything so much easier but its never easy to keep it up. Something we all need to learn around here. 
• I don't sort socks...ever but I am running out of soft fluffy white socks. Guess I better start that sorting... which sucks! 
• We need to spend more time together as a family. Scott works late most nights so we don't get a ton of time together as a family. Gotta work on that in 2014.
• Scott and I are thinking about making a BIG MOVE out West.  no seriously. We are really brain storming ideas about it right now. 
• The neighbor 10 year old neighbor kid got a 4 wheeler for Christmas and is driving me nuts driving it all through our back yards. I really wouldn't care if it wasn't so damn loud. 
• Oh yea, in 2014 I vow to curse less. Ha! One can hope right!?
• Time management. I need to find a way to get things done on here faster. I spend a lot of my time either writing blog post, making videos, editing, uploading, answering 100's of emails, and the list goes on and on. But I do have a lot of new videos coming up soon. I just need to figure out a way to get it done where I still have time for this big house and my family. There never seems to be be enough hours in the day. 
• I really want to get Jackson in this private military school. I know it sounds extreme, but I know in my soul that it would be great for him. And even if we do move, we would be in a military area with lots of military schools. Never know. I'm not giving up. 
• No Comparisons. Its easy to find another bigger blog and get caught up with the numbers. I even do it sometimes and in 2014 I don't plan on worrying about any numbers. I plan on being myself and hopefully gain some new friends along the way. :)
•  Save money at the grocery store. We always spend so much on food each month and in the new year I want to try to save as much as I can on the weekly groceries. I shopped and got 99% sale items, and my family seems to be adjusting just fine with the cheaper ice cream! One step at a time. 
• Thank you notes... gotta get moving with those in the coming days. 
• Kids. Gosh there are so many things I want to be better with the kids in 2014. All our kids. Hopefully this new year will be bright and happy for all of them. 
• Bloggy/Youtube Friends. I have made so many friends along the way and I hope each of you have a great year. I am starting by doing things one day at a time.  I set just a couple goals for the new year, then I write out lists of specifics for each month, each week, and each day and the pressure isn't so big. Try it and see how it works in your life!

Weekend in Review [ Pic Heavy ]

Helloooo! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The weather broke around here and it finally warmed up. 

Friday was really the start of my weekend! It began with husby getting home... we ran some errands in the evening. He was having a tough time at the redbox trying to figure out which movies he wanted!

It was a bit cool Friday due to the rain so I just stayed in the car and let him figure it out! And he picked a couple of good movies!

Good Morning Friends!

 I hope you morning has started off wonderful with all kinds of goodies left by the Easter bunny himself! (:

Isn't Easter such a sweet time? The colors are so pretty... things are blomming ( well normally they are blooming.. here its been freezing! ) It feels like a fresh start to me.  I really just want it to warm up more than anything! 

It was funny because last night Scott and I had some errands to run... we were coming home on our long dark road and a bunny showed up out of no where in the middle of the road.. He stepped on the breaks and an adorable little bunny safely made his way to the woods on the other side of the road. I thought it was pretty funny happening the night before Easter! And guess what I think he was just making his rounds around the neighborhood. He showed up really late here! 

When Jackson wakes up in the morning.. I am sure he will quickly find his basket and tear into the candy! I know it doesn't look like it but there is a ton of loose candy in the basket and its super heavy! I will have more pictures later this evening.

Celebrate!

Just a quick hello! In about 20 minutes my sister in law and her husband will be here! So I will be celebrating my 37 birthday with more family than expected! Too bad mom can't be here. But its been a really great day. I woke up to Jackson coming in my room with all the cats singing happy birthday to me. It was precious. Then a few minutes later a stranger shows up to the door with birthday wishes and handed me this.. 

And it was from mom and Don! It contains a bunch of bath and shower stuff. She has been full of birthday surprises! I will show you the inside later! Mom got me a really nice bedding set.. some tea...and more bath stuff.. Scott got me new Nikes.. and a trip to Biltmore..( had to postpone until a later date ) and he also got me a BUNCH of Avon stuff too! Jackson got me all bath stuff.. which I can't wait to try out and Brittany made me something. The gifts come second to such a wonderful family.  

Then my daughter calls singing happy birthday through the phone. totally cute! 

Since then I have just piddled around the house.... did some shopping, jackson went along... and have been enjoying the day.. stress free! 

Ohhh and check out the pretty flowers from husby..

Tonight I am cooking us all dinner.. which I don't mind one bit.. and enjoying some birthday cake!

Husby's Valentine Gift! { Video }

Its never easy finding something new and exciting year after year for Valentines Day. One morning I was watching the Today Show and saw this gift and loved it! Sweet Dreams..

Its been such a long cold day. Right now I am sitting back sipping a yummy homemade mocha latte.. and its super delicious. The perfect ending to this day! How did your Friday go? I am betting for many of you.. it was cold.. We are in North Carolina and its freezing here. Gosh.. Can't wait to get moved!

Sunday = House full of L♥ve!

Well Brittany and Art got in safe and sound. I won't lie it was hard getting myself out of the bed this morning. It was cold.. but I got up and got myself together and before I knew it.. a sleepy little girl walked in... but didn't take her long to get goofy! =)

Loooong Day ( Photo Dump )

My day was busy to say the least. It started at 715 and right now its 1am and I will be back up at 715 tomorrow. Yuck..But I stayed up all day and got tons accomplished. 

I worked around the house picking up.. tossing laundry around.. putting laundry up..and just getting things picked up. I also took a little time to get some posts done and up. 

By 1130 I was out heading to CVS.

Tired from Christmas Shopping..

OMG.. it has seriously been one of the longest days ever. I mean.. we left at noon... took off to the big city to do some shopping...We didn't get back until 5pm and then Scott took all of us out to dinner around 7. It was a good day! I have a ton of pictures from today that I will share with you tomorrow or in a weekend in review post but I will show you one of my early Christmas gifts. 

Scott got me that new Nikon camera that I wanted!! All night long I have been testing it out and learning to use it. I got it early so I can use it on Christmas and I wanted to get to know and understand the settings really well before. Its got an amazing zoom on it and its really light for a Nikon. It was a hard decision. I kept looking. There was 2 others that I was really interested in.. One was a waterproof, shock proof, dust proof, and crack proof and for me that's an amazing because I am really hard on cameras.. But the screen was pretty small and it was only 14 megapixels. Then there was another one.. the new camera that Ashton Kutcher is promoting right now. It was a toss up for me and I decided on this one. I am going to take a ton of pictures and video over the next couple of days to make sure this is the one I want. Good thing is.. I have time to exchange it if I want to. 

It was a very looooong day of shopping. I am happy to say we got about 1/2 of our Christmas shopping done. We will finish it up over the next couple of weeks. By time Scott and I hit Walmart on our way home, we both were exhausted. Seriously exhausted. It was a good day though. It was even nicer that I didn't have to get in the kitchen and cook. 

So I can't do a blog post without talking about the Connecticut School Shooting that happened today. I couldn't believe it. I never had to worry about shit like that happening when I was little. There is a new shooting weekly anymore.. I feel so bad for their families. I don't understand it... it seriously angers me and I am praying for that entire community. It sure makes me hug 

Jackson tighter tonight. I don't think I would live through loosing one of my kids. I can't imagine what those families are dealing with. It breaks my ♥ . 

Well.. I am going to rest up.. talk to you guys tomorrow.
