Catching Up - Again - with the A-Z Challenge!

I really need to get back to getting more of the house organized. The last thing I did was the kitchen - You can check out that post here - There are still so many different things that I have to do before summer gets here! So I had better get a move on it!

A-Z Challenge [ N is for : Nervous ]

Nervous

So with the what has recently happened in Boston, it has effected all of us once again. I don't know what to say about it except it was pure evil. I am starting to become so nervous about living here. Frankly, I am scared. I am scared and nervous for my children, your children, and all the other parents, husbands, wives, kids.. brothers, sisters. Everyone. You never know when terror is going to hit.. and doesn't it seem like its happening more and more. WTF?  

I am heartbroken for all the families that were effected and I really hope we end this violence. I honestly want to run away to a more secluded place just to feel safe. I am keeping that in mind when looking for the next house. Maybe its not the right to run around nervous but my honest feeling right now. What's going to happen next?  In times like this, I really reach further to God for help. I ask him to protect my family and your families and the rest is nervous hope. 

So as we all keep seeking answers, I am going to keep blogging as normal to hopefully lift your spirits even if its just for a few minutes. But lets..

And pray for peace. Seriously.. I am tried of being nervous when my son gets out of the car in the morning at school.. I'm tired of sitting in a movie theater nervously watching the doors almost the entire time. I am tired of being nervous when my family members get on a plane.. I am tired of it all. As citizens we need better protection. This should not be happening. Our country is basically based on peace. So that is what I think we also should be praying for.

A-Z Challenge [ M is for : My Mom ]

Happy Tuesday Friends!  Today with the A-Z Blog Challenge its the letter 

M

M is for My Mom. There is a lot I could say about my mom because she truly is one of my best friends, but still a mom at the same time. She has been so loving and loyal to me. She has helped me at every turn and is someone I love very very much. 

There are days when we talk 5 -6 times. To go a day without speaking to her would totally be weird..and when that does happen, it stands out.

My fathers parents raised me for the most part but my mom was ALWAYS there. She didn't go away and as I started to get older and drive, our relationship totally changed. I was able to go see her anytime I wanted..which was nice! She has always been there for both my sister and I and I know we both love her with all of our hearts.

She loves to surprise and spoil me. In fact a box of purses came in the mail today! Thank you mom! The gifts are nice and all but shes way more special that a material gift. 

Now she lives in Texas with her significant other.. She blogs over at Life According to Lenetta... yes, she blogs! So check her out and say hi when you can! 

I couldn't be more blessed with my mom. She really does play the part of mom and dad for me. I love you mom!

L is for Love because that's all that really matters.I truly believe that when we leave this world.. we can can only take our love and our memories. So 




My thought is ... fall in Love  as much as you can.. with as many things as you can.. and make as many good memories as possible. 

I couldn't Love  my family any more than I already do. Scott and the kids mean everything to me.

The Love  and good memories filling up our souls is never ending. I am truly blessed.

To Love  is the greatest journey of all. I hope this post inspires you all to open your hearts a little more and Love a little bit harder!

A-Z Challenge [ K is for : Kisha! ]

Happy Tuesday Friends!  Today with the A-Z Blog Challenge its the letter 

K

K is for Kisha of course! So who is the girl behind this blog!? I am a mother to 3 of my own children.. Jordan, Brittany and Jackson. I am a step mom to Laura and Zane and I am the wife to my wonderful husband Scott.

My name Kisha is an Indian name that my mom read about. My mom is part Indian and she loved the unique name. 

 I grew up in southern Indiana and have lived all over the East Coast. Right now we call North Carolina home.. but I can't wait to move further south to Florida in the coming years. I don't know if it will be this year or not.. but its pretty high on my list of things I want to accomplish asap! 

I started blogging on myspace in 2009 and then switched over to blogger in 2010. The purpose of this blog was honestly not to make bloggy friends and such. Scott and I traveled a lot and we wanted a way for family and friends back home to keep up with us. I didn't have any expectations of what I wanted this blog to be except a virtual scrapbook of our lives together. I didn't do the GFC or the Twitter.. none of that at first. But things have a way of happening on their own. The main way I promoted this blog was through email. I thought 1 email a day would be a great alternative..so now at this point.. 4 years later, my email followers are huge. I am so happy about it too because even though I wanted this blog to be just documentation that we exist.. a place to store our pictures and memories.. it has became more. I have met some great bloggy friends. I am so happy that I offer more ways to follow because every day there is a new friend popping on here.. saying hello and joining in our lives. You guys have seriously been some of the best most supportive friends I have ever had. I have shared fun experiences, sad experiences and you guys have took those rides with me. I have learned to coupon..Who would have guessed right!?  Thanks to other blogs out there and I have done my best to share some great tips and tricks on how to save as much money as possible when you can. Because of that I have a huge makeup collection!! I love makeup and beauty products and I love sharing great deals, finds, and products with you guys. Maybe if I can share my experience with a product it will help you in deciding if its worth spending your hard earned money on.. and not just with makeup but with all kinds of products! 

 I have enjoyed blogging so much and I really don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I see myself continuing this.. along with my handwritten journals to give my children and grandchildren a better sense of who I am.. what I love.. and this blog does that for me! There are also so many GREAT bloggers out there who work just as hard if not harder than I do to pretty much do the same.. → Document their lives. ← I love reading about you guys as much as you like coming here and reading about what is going on with us! I have found that while there are some haters out there.. that doesn't really matter because the good readers and friends always outweighs the trouble makers. Always. 

I try to live my life in a way that would make my family proud. I don't always do right but I do at least try and come into all situations with love and respect. I am a work in progress.. as we all are!

A-Z Challenge: J is for.. Joe,Jerry,Joey,Jeremy,Jordan,and Jackson

The letter J has significant meaning in my life. Most of the men/boys on my dads side of the family names start with the letter J. 

My grandfather who raised me went by Joe instead of Joesph.. Then he named my father Jerry..his brother, my uncle was named Joey.. My brother was named Jeremy. My First son is named Jordan..and my youngest son is named Jackson! And I am waiting for the day when I get a Jack Jr.!!

Who would have guessed we would have all stuck with boys names starting with J!? Kinda silly to not keep it going right!?

And I have also named a few dogs with J names too..

A - Z Challenge [ I is for Irritated ]

Happy Tuesday Friends!  Today with the A-Z Blog Challenge its the letter

For me tonight that stands for irritated.

I was doing fine all day.. with the exception Jackson getting into trouble at school. At 7pm another migraine hit me and it ruined my night. I don't understand why they are happening more right now but it was awful. I had to take a shot of imatrex and lay down. I planned on having this post done earlier but I just couldn't.. It seriously irritates the shit out of me to get such a bad headache that it ruins the rest of my night. I still have it.. but its bearable right now. I will be happy to take some sleep meds in a few minutes so I wake up feeling better. I am thankful because Scott came home and was a sweetheart and helped a lot since I wasn't feeling good. Good thing I got dinner cooked before I started feeling bad! Well I am done with this night.. I will be back tomorrow with the next letter in the alphabet!

A-Z Challenge [ H is for Happy Housewife ]

So for me that would have to be... 

Happy Housewife!

I am so fortunate to be able to not have to work outside the house. I have a wonderful husband who works really hard to give us the life we have. But he's not alone because its really a joint effort with everything I do around the house and with the kids. Being a housewife does not mean maid, kept woman.. you know all those terms " they " like to throw out.. its so much more. There are days that are easier than others but I stay really busy most of the time. I do get to mostly make up my own schedule but that doesn't mean its not full. I have high respect for woman who work outside the home but for me.. my choice is home. I like being here when Jackson gets out of school.. if I worked outside the house, I am sure I wouldn't be able to keep up with things like I do now. Our family is a lot of work! I am not one of those woman who sit around and dream of a 9-5 work life. I had that before and I don't really want to go back to it. I do see myself taking a part time job when the right position comes my way but again.. its not my focus. The summers are the busiest time of the year for us with all the kids. With 3 kids under 11 there is no way I could leave and work through the summer unless it was at night after husby got home. And I really don't want to loose my time with him. So home is where I belong! I am in deed , a very happy housewife and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Catching up with the.....A to Z Challenge!

With everything happening in our lives I have been behind on a lot of blogging. ): I signed up to do the A-Z challenge for April but I am SUCKING! So today I am catching up! This challenge is writing a post based off the letters of the Alphabet and there are 1904 other bloggers participating.. so I got to catch up! This one post is going to contain A-F. Hopefully it won't be too long! 

A: is for Anniversary

Scott and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary last night. I have more pictures to come but it was a very simple yet beautiful night together. We known each other 10 years... been together 8 years... and married for 2 years! Ha! Actually we got married once before but had to do it again when we realized his divorce papers were not properly signed. Yea.. but we fixed that really fast and just did it again! Sometimes it takes a couple of times to get it right! And last night he was really sweet and told me he would marry me again.. in that very moment. Until Forever Ends I will love you Scott.
