New Food Haul | Krogers | Video

Hello friends! I am so happy today is Friday. I am busy around the house trying to get things cleaned up and organized. It's not as easy as it use to be when I was able to be home everyday. Now, I do my best to pick up each night but some messes, to do's, and laundry have to wait until my day off. So today I am doing all I can to get things done. That includes stocking up the kitchen with some much needed items. Here's the haul....hope you enjoy! 

I still have to do the Easter dinner shopping too. I guess I will try to do that tomorrow after work sometime. I doubt I will share another haul but maybe I will show it in a vlog. Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog & Weekly To Do's + Food Haul!

Hello friends. Happy Monday to you all. I am back with a new day in the life vlog sharing bits and pieces of our week. Grab some coffee or tea...take a break and come spend an hour with us! More is below! 

This past week started off pretty quiet. Brittany was gone on her summer vacation and I was back with all the boys! I won't lie...I worried non stop while they were flying. I hate my kids in the air. But once they landed, I felt a lot better. The weather has been so beautiful here this past week. We had the bikes out...which lead to me learning or trying to learn how the hell to get a chain back on a bike. Why didn't I know this already!? I guess I just never had to do it myself. But thanks to Art helping out via the phone I did manage to get the right tools out. However, I got frustrated and eventually had Scott help us! Zane and Jackson hung out a lot more which totally made me :). Those two have their moments but I loved seeing them together. We went to my husbands house and hung out...jumped around on the trampoline, visited and then we took Cooper for a swim. I am pretty sure the swim did him good. He came right home and fell to sleep and never got up till the next afternoon. He loved it though and we will be for sure going back. We also had a little time with our oldest daughter as well. We really enjoy being over there with her and our grandkids. Little baby Roman wasn't feeling god and he adores Scott. So it' was perfect timing. 

As I mentioned the weather has been so nice here. The cats have been loving being able to go outside and enjoy some fresh air. I get so nervous because I know they can all jump over the privacy fence anytime they want. They are watched every moment they are out but it's been nice letting them outside instead of just sitting at an open window. We took full advantage of the weather and enjoyed some old roads that we haven't driven on in years. It was lovely and then we had an amazing Sushi dinner. Both of us were pretty tired that night so we enjoyed a great dinner, a couple of cocktails and then came right back home...like a couple of old people and enjoyed movies all night long. I was so tired the next morning afternoon but woke up to such a nice little gift from Scott. He got me some beautiful flowers and a new coffee pot with a sweet note. Our coffee pot was just not working right and he just saved me the hassle of trying to figure out which one to get. He didn't look up reviews...he didn't worry like I would and since he make the coffee, he picked out the pot. It's nice too and working great! Before I knew it, it was time to go get Brittany. She flew back in on Sunday and I was so happy to see her. She enjoyed a week on the beach, renting jet skis, hanging out with her best friend and getting some sun. I missed her so much. 

Also during the middle of the week I went to to the grocery. It actually took me off schedule because I didn't need to go back on Friday and here I am on Monday knowing I will have to get to the store in the next couple of days. I hate being off schedule! I was just noticing that we really needed some extra lunch and snack items. The kids are out of school, Scott is eating lunch at home more and more, and we were running low. Here's the haul if you haven't seen it already! 

This weekend was also so tragic for our friends in Orlando. It was so horrific and heart breaking. We lift them in our thoughts and prayers. ♥

Here's a few things I need to get done this week:

- Clean up house....today! 

- Have Scott call school for some needed information for Zane. 

- Clean up files on laptop. 

- Go through paperwork lying around waiting for me to file.
- Bath Cooper and brush out cats.
- Add new activities to big kitchen calendar.
- Make time to read a few chapters of my new book.
- Find and order trampoline.
- Continue to work on gallery wall. It's harder than I expected. I am still in search of frames. Wait till it's time to figure out all the photos. I can't wait to get it done!
- Start organizing the bathroom and closet. Little by little! We are really still moving into this house.
- Run Brittany back and forth to cheer this week and every week thereafter!
- Answer important emails..asap
- Menu Plan and write out grocery list.
- Figure out what to do for Father's Day for Scott and Art
- Empty ashes from the grill.
- Wash all bedding today and tomorrow.
- Continue to walk and swim Super Cooper
- Look for some plants for the backyard

Quick Week in Review w/ Vlog & Food Haul

Hello everyone. Happy Wednesday to you all! I hope you are having a great day. I am back with a quick weekend in review. I normally post these on Monday but I am still playing catch up. It's amazing how fast things can get away from you. I hate hate hate not being on schedule. And if everything goes as planned you will have another blog post and video later tonight. :) So we are going to stick to a sweet and simple week in review today.  Here's a look at what went on around here last week. Hope you enjoy! 

Also on Friday I had some shopping to do and again.. didn't get it posted! If you want some dinner menu inspiration or just want to see what we got...here's the haul!

It was a bunch of stuff...but I worked hard on trying to find lighter meals and healthier options for all of us. It's not easy though. We are a meat and potato family so switching it up is not easy for everyone. I am also happy I finally got a new grill. I'm pretty simple and just got one of those round standard charcoal grills. It was rather cheap but the last one I got ( exact same kind ) lasted for about 7 years. So it was worth it to me...and my cheap little grill works great! :)

Anyway I do have somethings I want to get done in the last few days of the week. Here's a quick to do list:

- Get a couple videos ahead. Gotta do this so I can stay on schedule. 

- Get Brittany packed up for Florida. 

- Organize bathroom and kitchen pantry 

- Get treadmill hooked up and working

- Find something fun for the boys to go do over the weekend.

- Groom and bathe Super Cooper

- Drink more water...Drink more water...drink more water. 

- Pull weeds from the flower garden

- Go see Grandma and take her some pictures I found. 

- Still need to clean out my car. 

- Start looking for picture frames for the gallery entrance way.

- Clean out hedgehog cage over the weekend.

- Menu Plan & try to not spend as much at the grocery this week. 

- Try to get across the walking bridge this weekend sometime. 

- Return phone calls..answer emails and try to answer a few comments each day.

Come Shop w/ Me! * Meijer Food Haul | Video

Hello friends! I hope your Monday evening is going well. It's been a good day around here. I got up early....got a lot of desk work done, a little housework and then some shopping. Normally I would put a day in the life vlog up on Monday but I actually broke my phone and lost a lot of the footage that I was going to share. Life goes on...so instead I am taking you shopping with me! Hope you enjoy!

I really have been enjoying Meijer. It's a huge store. I have really went all around it yet but in time I will. I have pretty much stayed in the food area and household areas of the store so far. I find the prices are not as high as I expected and with mperks I will hopefully save some money. I hope you have a great night. I'll see ya tomorrow. xx

My 1st Meijer Food Shopping Haul! | Video |

Hello friends! Happy Mothers Day to you all. I am back sharing a new food haul from Meijers. This is really the first haul I have ever done from this particular store. I stopped in the other day and got some cake and flowers but I didn't do much food shopping. So today Scott and I decided to go on a little day date to our local Meijers. Here's what we got...hope you enjoy! 

We spent about $279. I know I said $200 in the video but I was just a little off...and husby was quick to remind me. :) I really did like the store and suspect we will go there a lot more. Hey everyone...it's me again! :) I told you I am getting caught up today! There has been a few hauls since we have moved that I just did not record. Days when my legs felt like jello exhausted like never before. I just couldn't do it. But I did share the very 1st food haul after moving and I also have a new one from just yesterday below. Catching Up: DITL Vlog: Moving Right Along with Scott & a New Food Haul!

Hello everyone! Can you believe its Friday!? I guess I have really been neglecting this little blog of mine and for that I am sorry. I actually love it here. I just need to love it enough to get back to get back on schedule. Everything has been a little off since we announced that we are moving. I have been busy packing up our house while Scott is busy learning a new business. Plus there are things going on with ALL the kids right now keeping us pretty busy! I did vlog throughout the week. I share what's been going on around here....however you might want to get a coffee or tea, it's a long one! Hope you enjoy. 

This past Monday I had some shopping I needed to do. We cleaned out the freezers on Sunday. I just didn't have a ton of meat or anything. I also made a more kid friendly menu with the boys on Sunday night to get ready for the shopping. Here's what we are having and what I got.

I normally don't post videos together but I want to try to get caught up with the vidoes and blog. I am slowly starting to film again and I hope to have more videos up in the coming days and weeks. I also hope to have a new edition of Friday letters up this evening. :) Happy Friday friends! xx

Hello friends....happy happy Friday to you all. Today I went out and did some shopping. I didn't do a huge haul because we have a trip planned next week and I really want to use up a lot of the food we already have. I include our dinner menu and the items I got. Hope you enjoy! 

Thankfully tonight I am not in the kitchen worrying about dinner. We are finishing up leftovers tonight which makes me super happy. Happy I don't have to cook and happy that we are not wasting food! Food Shopping Haul | Walmart | Video |

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I got woke up early today and have been feeling it all day. :( Actually after a pot and 1/2 of coffee, I am starting to feel more alive! Yesterday I went out to do some shopping. I got off schedule with the groceries last week. I normally go on Friday's but I went early and yada yada yada. Here we are with food haul in the middle of the week. I needed more dinner items and since I don't want to go again this Friday, I shopped for basically 2 weeks. We still might have to pick up a few other things here and there but I think I got enough to last a while! Here's our menu plan and the food I got. Hope you enjoy!

Shopping Haul | Aldi & Walmart | Video

Hello and happy weekend to you all! It's a slow moving day around our home. Both kids slept in late as did I and we feel great today. Well....lazy but great! Yesterday I got busy doing a little shopping to get us through. I feel like we are going to need more for dinners next week but I will go again in a few days. I honestly didn't want to be out yesterday and was just in a hurry to get it done. I went to Aldi and Walmart. Hope you enjoy!

Large Food & Household Shopping Haul | Aldi & Ingles |

Hello friends. I hope you are having a wonderful evening. I am back tonight sharing a new food and household shopping haul. I was suppose to go on Friday but the snow came and I never made it out until today. I share our menu plan for this next week along with everything we got. Hope you enjoy!

We have another snow day tomorrow. I think it's too snowy and icy in a lot of neighborhoods for the all the buses to get around.  The kids are loving it! Anyway, tomorrow I hope to finally get that new camera that should have been here already. I don't really like filming with the camera I was using so I am beyond ready for it to get here. If everything goes as planned, I hope to get a review and giveaway up in the evening hours. :) I am however, skipping a vlog tomorrow but I should still have a week in review up.
