Polish of the Moment: Essie Lady Like Photos & Swatches

Its been a long while since I have done a #POTM on this blog so today I thought I would share this very pretty taupe color from Essies “Brand New Bag Collection”. It was a super thin formula like a lot of the Essie polishes. It was a bit thicker and in 2 coats it was totally opaque. I am a sucker for taupe colors in fall!

I love the color and think it pretty much goes with anything!

CVS Shopping.. [ Video ]

 I was at CVS today using up a coupon that was about to expire... God knows, I love that store! (:

Here's what I got.. 

So have you seen the Khroma line out in your store yet?

Here are some pictures of the display.. 

 I didn't get any lashes because I just didn't want anything that dramatic. I didn't think much of the display at all. They had very few eye shadows.. just a few that come with the lashes. I just don't know how well this line is. Hummmmmmmm.....

I did get another..

I am so curious about the Kardashian line.. but I am not thrilled yet.. have you tried any of there stuff?? Let me know!

Friday Shopping @ CVS!

Tonight I went shopping at CVS.. shocker huh!? And I got some really interesting products..

Manicure Monday : Pink Princess Polish

I did a base coat.. then I did 2 coats in this 

Essie - Pink Diamond - Polish.. I let it dry and then took the 

Essie glitter polish in 

I kinda did a gradient effect with more on the tips than at the base. Then I topped it with clear coat and was done. 

Super fast and super simple!

Wednesday CVS Haul!

I had to run into CVS today and came out with more than I expected! I was soooooo excited to pick up the New Aveeno Clear Complexion BB Cream.. which is the highlight of this haul.. BUT I got some other things too!

Friday Night CVS { Nail } Haul { Video & Photos }

Tonight Brandon and I went to CVS and I picked up some new " spring " polishes! One is not so new but a color I love!!

Essie Mochacino Photos & Swatches

I recently took part in my 2nd nail polish swap and was paired with Lesley from Pretty Little Pink Things and this is one of the polishes she sent me. ( To see everything she sent, clicky click right here ). I was pretty excited to try out this color because its right up my alley with the light brown shade.. very similar to the color of coffee.

This is a medium greyish brown color that has a slight silver shimmer that does kinda look pinkish green in different lighting. After the first coat, it was pretty shear so I ended up applying 3 coats to get the result I wanted. 

The thing I like most about this color is its not too flashy being the shimmer is pretty light. I am totally loving this color right now and as with all Essie polishes, they apply really smooth without much effort and last a pretty long while without chipping. I just added a top coat and was done! 

Love it!!

Essie Good as Gold Swatches

The other day I was browsing my local CVS and came upon the Essie Good as Gold Metallic polishes. I thought the gold was pretty and thought that it would be a great double duty polish. One you could wear it alone or use it as a base.. which I will explain in a second...

Here is the polish on its own.

This is a very pretty polish however it shows every imperfection with my nails. 

I think the color is really pretty.. 

However, it has a smaller brush that I wasn't so crazy about. But after using it a few times, I got use to it and it went on easily and smoothly. 

This polish was around $8 so it wasn't too bad. I love Essie Polishes and have many of them! 

I also thought this polish could be a great base for 

The Sally Hansen Gem Crush Polish in Big Money. To see all those swatches you can click here!!

Essie has 

5 colors in this line. I am not sure if I will buy anymore or not but I do like the gold!

CVS Haul - A Newbie and a Oldie!

You guys know that I can't stay out of CVS! Yesterday I just did a haul of some of the new CoverGirl Quads.. ( You can see them here ) But today I had to run in to pick up some meds from the pharmacy. While I was there I picked up a couple items.. One new.. and another oldie but goodie! 

The new item I got is this 

beautiful gold Essie polish in 

I just thought this was really pretty and can't wait to get my nails done gold! - Will post pictures soon! -

And here is the oldie but goodie!!

This Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil and Gel duo is amazing! I needed another so I got one in the 

#105 - Brunette.. As you can see in the picture above.. there is the pencil.. ( on my old one, I bought another pencil when I ran out and just pushed it in the tube ) and on the bottom is the gel that holds your brows in place. They have 3 different colors.. I know they have one for blondes and one darker than the Brunette. Remember... you should always use one shade lighter than your brows.. so they don't look to over done. 

Also another good thing about this is sometimes its just easier to run the gel through my brows than color with the pencil and gel. It works great in a hurry when you just need to define your eyebrows a little! 

I don't know if I have a review up on this brow duo but I am going to check and if not.. I will get a full review up in the coming weeks.. I just can't pass up not talking in detail about this product! LOVE IT!

New Essie Mattalic Polishes Display!!

My friend Courtney took this picture for me at her local target of the newest Essie Polishes!! Look at all of them. I think 7 of them are new colors and I also have been told that 4 or 5 of them are exclusive to Target only. =(  I think a few of these colors are just reissued colors.

For whatever reason new displays seem to take longer to show up in our neck of the woods. I know some people have seen this first in late March but this past week they are starting to show up around me!

Can't wait to one or two of these to try out soon!
