Week in Review | DITL Vlog: Recent Happenings | Happy Birthday Scott

Monday, May 2, 2016

Happy Monday friends! I hope you are getting along great with your day. I am feeling a little tired today but I plan to get a lot done so hopefully the coffee starts working fast! I am back with a new day in the life vlog sharing a little of how last week went. Here's the video and lots more below!

So just a few days ago we celebrated Scott's 47th birthday. I always kid around and call him 50 year after year but he's not actually there yet. However he wanted a nice dinner with his family so we loaded up all the kids and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Joes Crab Shack.

We had everyone except Jackson with us which was bit sad. However due to work schedules and such we didn't even make it to dinner on his birthday till after 8pm. So I understand Jackson being tired. Laura and I had a great time sitting there talking and giggling while Brittany and Kenzie joked and had a great time. Kenzie is Brittany's best friend and she basically has a free pass to our home anytime. Those girls are so cute and fun....I will take them any day over most people! Scott was on grampa duty because Laura's youngest just is a man's baby. He wants his grandfather, his dad....but mom will do too. :) We had such a great time. We came home and celebrated more with a cookie cake and candles. I like to see all the candles...not just number ones. I like it bright! :)

The rest of the week went by so fast. We had a little flooding incident that I talked about in the video above but it created a huge mess. We just had to deal with it and be thankful it wasn't going to cost us a penny to get fixed. Even right now the air conditioning guy is here at the house replacing the full 2nd floor unit. The kids are going to be so thankful tonight. I have no idea how we actually got another house with a broken 2nd floor air conditioner. At least with this house it's getting fixed. I am sure at the old house it's still hot as hell upstairs.

A lot of my days have been filled running the kids around. I am not fond of driving a lot but living outside the school district means we have to drive. Scott's office is pretty close to the school so most mornings he is taking them and in the afternoons I pick them up. I am also running around like crazy trying to get Brittany back and forth to cheer. Thankfully this week, we all get a little break. The gym is moving to a different area across town. Brittany alone has a ton of appointments but thankfully I am following everything in my planner and trying to make sure there are no big surprises. I actually need to work on the big family calendar later today. We are still unpacking boxes and just trying to get all the stuff in the right rooms and then I can go back and really organize it. It's been a huge job trying to get settled.

We also have other family and friends here that we are trying to balance as well. I seem to be at Lauras house almost daily. I think I am going to sneak over sometime this week and help her out with a little laundry and housework being she is working and always tired when she gets home. I love being able to see her and the kids without having to make a long 7 hour trip. Now it's just a 10 minute trip! :) But again, it's all about balance. The younger kids and Scott expect me home more than not. Scott was quick to remind me that I live here and she lives there. I don't know why we didn't just get that huge house I shared a while ago so we could all live together. Gosh...I sound like my grandfather saying that! It's just a lot of fun being with our family.

Friday we all wanted sushi and ended up at a local Japanese Steakhouse and dinner was simply amazing. Zane had never been to one before and I think he was impressed seeing them cook our food on the open grill. It was unexpected to say the least but we all enjoyed it. Brittany had been feeling pretty bad due to allergies but I was thankful to actually get some food in her. She eats like a little bird. I think it's exactly what we needed! Saturday I was home most of the day. It felt good just being here with no big plans. I have been going so hard trying to get everything done plus run around with all the kids and I needed the break. Kenzie was back here hanging out with Brittany and the girls are just so cute. It's really a breath of fresh air having them around. I truly believe it's because of them and Laura that I have been smiling so much.

Sunday started out easy...well kinda. I got up and made Scott and the kids breakfast and then the day really started. Brittany has a cheer banquet coming up this week and she needed wanted a new dress. Thankfully we did a job and came in way under budget. I was shocked but she was careful. She also bought a dress that she actually can and will wear again. After that it was time to get Jackson for dinner. I am not use to him not being here and it's been an adjustment as well but he's happy at his dads. I swear Jackson should have been an only child! He is really enjoying the hunting and boy stuff he's been missing out on. He came and enjoyed one of his favorite dinners...hedge hog time....Cooper time and finally he had a little time for all of us! We really just want all the kids happy. No matter if I miss him or not, as long as hes doing good and comfortable at his dads, I am fine. And it's not like hes gone forever. After we dropped him back off, we stopped into Laura's house again just to say hi before coming back home. Like I have mentioned over and over....having the kids around has been so nice. I love being able to go see everyone and then be able to come home. There are no people having to stay in the house....no trips to make....it's just easy. We should have moved back a lot sooner. Thanks to all the kids for teaching me so many lessons that only they could. We stayed 20 minutes or so .... kissed the babies and got back home to the younger kids.

I am really happy to be moved home. Right now there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. However, I am sure that will change once we all get settled in and adjusted. There are so many people I want to see and spend time with and there is a ton of things that I need to get done around the house. Lots going on in our lives right now. Here's a few of my to do's for this week.

:: Order flowers for mothers day.
:: Moms birthday on Wednesday! Gotta help her with her blog!
:: Unpack at least one box per day from garage.
:: Work on new cleaning schedule.
:: Laugh more
:: Pick up Jackson's prescriptions.
:: Take my phone off do not disturb. I have been missing a lot of calls but I kinda like it off.
:: Pay bills. ( suppose to do that yesterday! )

Here's some inspiration to take with you through out the week:

Mantry | The Moderns Mans Pantry | Monthly Subscription → Video Review & Blog Post ←

Thursday, May 14, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful evening. I am back sharing a video featuring Scott, my husband sharing The Mantry Food of the Month club is geared towards specifically men and what men like. We show you everything in the video and....there are more pictures and information below! :)

This is a very unique box more geared towards men. Snacks most men would love. Our box came in and once opened, you could see the wood Mantry Crate inside. The crate itself has the logo burned into the side and can be used for many things around the house or garage.

Inside there is a a little note to explain what the box is all about and then a pamphlet explaining the contents and sharing recipes that can be used with those items.

Each box comes with 6 full sized products. Here's what came in our box.

As you can see, all items any man would loooove. Scott was so happy with what they sent. As we showed you in the video they sent a hot sauce, hot chocolate walnuts, Jalapeno chips, Mole Publano, Picked Red Onions and even some beef jerky. There are tons of different past boxes on their website that you can check out and many of them are super nice!

This food of the month club costs $75 a month. I think this is a great gift for the guys in our lives. Most of the time, I am getting the special little monthly subscriptions coming in, not my husband. And they also make great gifts! You can sign up right here if you are interested. They have a few different subscriptions you can choose from. I think a lot of our boyfriends and husbands work hard and getting their own little package in the mail each month will most certainly make them feel more special. Who doesn't love gifts!? Scott really enjoyed sharing this box with you guys and has already been snacking! :)

Thanks for coming by. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions! If you are new here, I would love it if you took a few minutes and got subscribed!

DITL Vlog: Week in Review & To Do's | February 23 - March 2, 2015 |

Monday, March 2, 2015

Here's whats been going on this past week:

Before we get into the WIR, I thought it would only be right to tell you about my Aunt. My moms sister Donetta had been battling health problems for a while now. She's been very ill and everyone has been worried about her. Sadly this morning she passed away and now is resting in peace. It's very sad. My mom was with her and she leaves behind 2 beautiful daughters and a son. Plus grandchildren and of course my mom and the rest of her brothers and sisters. All night I have been talking to my mom getting updates, helping her cope with watching her sister fade away and I feel bad I am not there. All of my family is in Indiana besides my sister and my mom and its a place that's always going to have a pull on me. It's very hard for me to hear my mom so heart broken. Strangely enough, I have been through many more deaths that my mom has ( we have pretty much lost everyone on my dads side ) and it breaks my heart to hear her cry and be in so much pain. At least she was there. The bond between all my moms brothers and sisters is a bond like no other. Growing up, they went through so much stuff together and I know this is forever going to change my mom and the rest of my family. My grandma Marry almost made through this life without loosing any of her children. Imagine how hard it is for her right now. It's so sad. I am really hoping now that she is pain free and in peace now. I am realived that my mom was able to be there with her in the end. She felt like she had to be with her sister and nothing was going to stop that. She has been sleeping in her room and praying for a miracle....as I am sure her kids have been too. Life is not promised to any of us. It could end anytime so I really hope everyone reading this blog post, takes the time to make as many good memories as you can. The love and memories are the only things we take with us in the end.

Rest in Peace.

So the week around here was pretty laid back and routine. I feel like I have been so unproductive this past week. The short days, cold nights, just make it so hard to find any motivation. I am back to having serious sleep issues. I seldom fall sleep before 4am and then I toss and turn the few hours I am in the bed. It's nuts. I have got to get it under control. Last night I was talking to my mom a lot and up late but really I am up late most nights anyway. It awful and what sucks even more is I have to get up and clean today tired. Yea. loving that. When I am done with this blog post, I'll get started and this time I think I am going to start on the first floor because it's a mess down here and you see it first when walking in. Maybe tonight or tomorrow, I will be able get the upstairs done.

This past week, I got in another planner. I know that planners and calenders are not for everyone and I understand that. But I love them and I like sharing them. If you don't like them the way I do, skip those videos and blog posts! I had been waiting on the Passion Planner for a while. I can't wait to share it with you guys in full and I am also hosting a giveaway for one of you guys! And don't forget to click here to get entered in all the giveaways that are going on right now. We have 3 that you can still get entered in. Good luck to everyone.

The week and even the weekend was pretty laid back. I didn't even take a lot of pictures. I had a hard time just getting what I had to done let alone anything extra. But we did have fun over the weekend together playing games, watching movies, and staying warm. We had such a cold rain Sunday. It's was next to impossible to stay warm. We had to go out and run errands Sunday which was just miserable. I really wanted to stay laid up on the couch but I took advantage of going while Scott could drive. It actually was kinda like a little " day date " for us and I was totally grateful that he didn't mind doing the driving.

Another thing this weekend that happened is Brittany finding her a new dress for her Cheerleading banquet. Its really hard to parent from a different state. But it can be done because I am living proof of it. Brittany and I are extremely close but its hard being away from her. I am going to make a video about parenting from a far because I get so many questions about it. But she picked out a wonderful dress.. I got pictures of each one and then she made her decision and she did a great job. It crazy how fast she is growing up on me. I can't even express how proud I am of who she is becoming. But it's a lot of work and her and father and I are trying to navigate raising teens. I think the trick is just staying one step ahead of them!

Today is here and I have so much to do. My eyes are heavy, the coffee is not helping, all the animals are sleeping....all things that make me want to go back to bed. But I am going to push through it and maybe just maybe get to bed at a decent hour tonight. Here's some of my to do list for next week.

This weeks to dos

  • Weekly Cleaning...which at this pace, will take me all week to finish. I think today is going to be a mental health day.
  • Clean out frig. I am sure there are some science experiments going on in there.
  • Whiten teeth. YUCK.
  • Look for a new kind mattress and box spring.
  • Still need to get my hair cut. I think I am going to do bangs again to cover up wrinkles on my forehead! :)
  • Finish Thank you notes.
  • Post more Instagram pictures.
  • Pick out some flowers to order for my Aunt.
  • Pray in the mornings again and stop slacking off.
  • Call phone company for some tech support regarding one of our phones.
  • Get some lunch.
  • Check on local classes that Scott and I need to take.
  • Start walking 30 minutes every other day on the treadmill.
  • Clean oven....it didn't get done last week.
  • Check voicemails. Ha! Another job that didn't get done last week.
  • Give the housesitter more money. I keep forgetting to do it. Gotta go to the ATM first. It would be nice if residential neighborhoods had individual post offices and atms.
  • Buy some new sports bras.
  • Buy another ivy plant. The one in the kitchen is so pretty.. I want another.
  • Continue with yoga and mediation. I need a clear mind to balance my life properly.
  • Find a fun craft to do with Jackson.
  • Keep checking on mom. She is having a very hard time due to her sister passing away this morning.
  • Continue working in the spare bedroom. Still have a lot of clutter in there.
  • Decide on what blogs to sponsor for the month of March.
  • Bake some cookies
  • Film planning video today.
  • Make Vet appointment to go have Gabby spayed this week or next.
  • Purge old magazines.
  • Get back on track withThankful Thursday blog post.
  • Try to get another chapter done in our love story. There is still so much to write.
  • Get to bed at a better hour. Story of my life.
  • Work harder on getting healthy.
  • Make more cuddle time with Scott. We need to just turn off the world, electronics and spend time with one another. It's not always easy but it's needed.
  • Help Jackson more with his handwriting.
  • Clean up DVR's
  • Comment more when I read other blogs or watch videos on youtube.
  • Buy some new workout clothes.
  • Get the dog slobbers off the sliding glass doors.
  • Move some vlogs over from the old channel to my main channel. Just to make it easier for everyone to find them.
  • Work on Trader Joes new shopping list.
  • Buy Martha Stewarts new cookbook...→ Clean Slate ← I want it!!
  • Do a photo shoot of the cat. But gotta get him groomed up first.

Here's something to think about through the week:

I hope you are having a beautiful Monday! I am going to take my sleepy self and power through the afternoon and evening trying to get our house cleaned up. Scott is off work tomorrow and I doubt there will be much time to clean. So gonna get a move on!  Thanks so much for stopping by!   If you are new here, I'd love it if you took a few seconds and subscribed so you don't miss anything. :)

Wednesday Hodgepodge w/ Mr. Jaggers!

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup that I love doing. Today's hodgepodge is a little different. I am typing while my husband is driving so you are going to get his answers too!

1. When did you last have to interact, either by phone or in person, with someone in a government run agency? On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the experience? (10 being fabulous and 1 being pass the Tylenol)

Kisha:
Well currently we are in the car heading down south to actually deal with a government agency. ( I am totally hodgepoding from the car today! Thank goodness for teathering from the smart phone to run the laptop! ) I don't really want to make things bad for us if someone from that agency reads this but over all my experience has not been so good. I don't think the government really gets in a hurry to get things done and there is a process, which I am not too fond of. But I am grateful to have a established government in our country that can help us in all kinds of ways. But I wish they would hurry things up a little more! So my number would have to be a 5.

Scott:
Scott says he had a state payroll auditor came into the dealership and would rate the experience as a 3. He said the guy was as dry as toast with no personality and took his time. He says he was busy enough without a slow poke holding him up!

2. The current governor of Wisconsin is considering a run for President next time around. Walker attended Marquette University, but never graduated. In terms of any candidate running for the office of President (not asking here if you agree or disagree with Scott Walker's politics) would the lack of a college degree influence your vote or no? Would that be a factor in your support of any candidate running for public office, even a role less weighty than President?

Kisha:
I think its very important to be well educated if you are going to try to run this country...or any country for that matter. But I do understand a long military record might work too. Over all though, yes I think you should be college educated if you are running for public office.

Scott:
No Scott says. He thinks he would like his politicians to be educated, but experience and personal history are are big factors too.

3. When did you last visit a place or site named for George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, and what was that place or site?

Kisha;

The last place I can think of was visiting all the Abraham Lincoln places in Washington DC many years ago....and there are many!

Scott:
He says its been too long to remember!

4. February 16th was President's Day in the US, but did you know it was also National Almond Day? I didn't think so : ) Do you like almonds? If so, what's a food/dish/recipe you enjoy that contains almonds?

Kisha;

I am not a almond fan. Never have been and never will be.

Scott:

Scott says he's not a huge almond fan either but occasionally he will have a candybar with almonds.

5.The television program Saturday Night Live celebrated it's 40th anniversary this past weekend. Were/are you a fan of the show? If so what has been your favorite (or one of your favorite) skits, sayings, or characters that came out of the program?

Kisha:
Ha! Sorry... but also not a fan of Saturday night live!

Scott:
He stopped watching in the 80's.. :) it's just not our thing!

6. Anything purple within ten feet of you? What is it?

Kisha:

Yep, a little box that I use to hold random stuff is purple sitting right here on my laptop.

Scott:

For Scott, his shirt has purple strips in it... plus the box is within 10 feet because he is sitting right across the seat driving!

7. Back in December I asked you to submit a question for a future HP as part of a giveaway I was hosting. I grabbed this one from those entries, submitted by Zoanna who blogs over at Penchant for Pens. Thanks Zoanna!

She asks, "How often do you make your bed, and how do you like to make it-pull the covers all the way up over the pillows, tuck the covers in around the pillows, or place all the pillows on top of the covers?"

Kisha:
I make all 3 beds in our house Monday - Friday and normally never make them up on weekends unless we have company coming over! Sometimes it's nice to get a break some days. And no, I do not pull the covers over the pillows. I pull the sheets and blankets up and fold over the top. I fold the sheet over the top of the comforter and I never tuck them in at the foot. I hate that!! I want to be able to snuggle in the covers...not feel like I am locked under them. Then the pillows lean against the headboard in a nice way.

Scott:
I can just answer this question for him....→ He never makes the bed! ←

8. Insert your own random thought here.

It's going to be a long day for the three of us stuck in this car. Jackson is with us too and we are not suppose to even get there until almost 10pm tonight. These monthly trips to Louisiana are killing us but we are doing our best to show our kids how much they mean to us by being there. I am so thankful that I can hook up my little phone to the laptop and be able to work online while we are going down the highway. I don't know how well I packed because I was totally exhausted last night so lets hope that we have everything we need. There's really no telling until we get to the hotel and open up the suitcase. Our housesitter is taking care of the animals and house while we are away and I couldn't be more grateful for it. Shes so nice and helpful which allows us to come here and not worry about them so much. I think we all are going to be so happy to get out of this car but then tomorrow all the appoitments and such start happening early...so there won't be much time to do anything else before its time to get back on the road and do this all again.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I totally enoyed doing the hodgepodge with hubby today... and I hope you enjoyed it too! If by some chance you are just coming by for the first time, I would love it if you subscribed!

☼ Myrtle Beach Travel Vlog | Part 2 | ☼

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday. I am still trying to find my motivation since coming home from vacation! Today I am back with the 2 travel vlog from Myrtle Beach. It really was a lovely time. First I do want to say, the resort looked a lot nicer online...which is normal. The villa was nothing too fancy and I didn't like it at first. If I had not already paid in full, I probably would have changed...BUT...I can't really complain because besides the outdated rooms, my family had a great time. The sheets were clean, the water was hot, and it had a full kitchen which we all used everyday. Breakfast was always in the room ( besides the last day ) and lunch was too. Scott and I was treating and to be honest, paying for 6 adults and 2 children was expensive. But we did manage to stay in budget and made a ton of great memories...which is all that matters.  Really, its the first trip we ever did like this and it was a lovely time.

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned each day for a new travel vlog popping up this week. I make these vlogs for us. I don't have to share them but I do because I know so many of you guys have become friends over the years.  And also I want our lives documented on this blog. You never know what could happen and at least with them on here...they will be safe and ever lasting.

Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog: August 11 - 17, 2013

Monday, August 18, 2014

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great Monday. I am kinda running late with this post/video because I was really sick yesterday and just didn't feel like working on it last night. I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our weekend. I also vlogged a little each day which you can see in the video below. I have been trying to move all my video's to my main channel including the vlogs but for right now I am uploading them to both channels. I think that is the best way to do it right now but eventually they will probably all move to my housewife life main youtube channel. I hope you don't mind but I have been trying to figure out a way to make everyone happy. I don't expect you to watch them twice but now you will be able to find my vlogs on both channels.

DITL: ★ Happy ★ 4th ★ of ★ July ★ 2014 ★ VLOG

Saturday, July 5, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday. I have a ton I should be doing but I wore myself out yesterday so I'm moving kinda slow today. How was your 4th of July!? I hope each of you guys had a wonderful and safe holiday with your family and friends. Scott and I had a wonderful day and night together. If you want to check out more, enjoy the vlog and there are more pictures and such below!

Scott decided that we should go tubing down Green River Cove Tubing in NC. It was just a few miles away...we live close to the border so we got in the car and headed off for a day of leisure and relaxation floating our way through the 4th of July!

When we first got in, the water felt extremely cold. But thankfully after a few minutes I warmed up. The river was full of  kayaks and tubes just going their own way. It was so peaceful. I totally loved it and probably said amazing 50 times in the video above. I bought some waterproof gear that held our phones and camera. I also had a few other things and it all stayed dry thanks to my little waterproof items. I took my small vlogging camera that I don't use often and it came home undamaged! I'm glad I got them and they will forever go into the summer box! For our first time, we both got separate tubes but it was hard to keep up with each other. A lot of the time, Scott held on to my little tube and we floated together even in the choppy parts. But I think next time a double tube would work out better for us. And we are for sure going back. It didn't cost hardly anything and we totally enjoyed a day in the sun, fresh air and water. It was truly amazing. I think it was a perfect way to enjoy the 4th of July! We giggled and smiled more yesterday than we had all week. I don't even think my photographs show how amazing it actually felt. I don't think anything will be able to capture the moment or the mind blowing sensation of being there floating along through nature. It was beautiful. We were deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the view was amazing. I could seriously feel God all around me. While the water cooled us, the sun warmed us. I think we were right where we were suppose to be yesterday. Our day didn't end  at the Green River...

We came home, rested, cleaned up and cooked out. I don't know what could be more 4th of July that burgers and hot dogs. I didn't do a ton of cooking. There wasn't many of us and again it was more of a Adult 4th of July this year...which was totally fine. I miss all the kids but having a summer free has really been eye opening giving us a much needed break. And we still have our furry kids around. Cooper enjoyed a evening of eating good food and playing ball...total bliss for him. :) It was a wonderful evening with perfect weather. I know so many of you guys did not get the perfect weather day but I hope you were still able to celebrate in your own ways. I think some east coast towns are actually celebrating today. If that's the case for you...have a wonderful 5th of July! We were really tired but I had to go down to the lake and watch the fireworks.

We are lucky to live on a lake because they do so much there. We changed cars, put the top down on the bug and found a pretty nice spot on the side of the road and was able to watch the show. It always makes me feel like a child again watching fireworks. The sky was lighting up last night with so many pretty colors. However, I knew the loud booms were probably scaring all the animals at home. We stayed for most of it but did leave a little early to miss most of the traffic. And I was right..all the cats were hiding and not happy with all the noise. It actually went on late late into the night I finally laid down about 2am and could still hear the party raging on!

The kids spent the evening with their dad in Indiana setting off and watching fireworks. And they are going to a friends house tonight to set off even more! They are having 2 nights of fun which is nice because both kids have been acting like brats to each other and have been grounded. I am glad they had a night of smiles and laughter because they needed it. After I got my bath and got into bed, I had a loooong conversation with Brittany. Even though she is still grounded with no wifi for at least 2 more weeks, she seemed to be doing better. I think its always harder at first loosing something but then most of us adapt and learn to live without it whatever it might be. She is learning that lesson and I hope she learns a few others too! Jackson has been in trouble a lot also and I know my ex husband is wore out and tired of being the bad guy but he's only got a few weeks to go so I think they will all be ok! Now he knows how it feels around here summer after summer!

This afternoon our Oldest daughter and her family are coming to visit including this little one! → They were going to stay until Wednesday but I think work schedules have changed and now they have to leave Sunday night. I'm not for sure about that though. Its hard to believe we are actually grandparents. Its mind blowing actually! Scott was planning a big day out Sunday at the Waterpark but I am not sure they are going to do that now or what is going on but I am sure you will see more of them in our vlog on Sunday. I thought I would just have one video for the 4th and I am still recording today and tomorrow that will be up early Monday. We do have a busy weekend planned. I have a list of a few things I need to get done before the kids get here including a quick run to the Dollar Tree. It took everything for me to sleep until 10 this morning. I am still kinda tired but I am hoping my strong cup of coffee wakes me up so I can get everything checked off my to do list. Its fun getting to see the older kids and grand kids over this beautiful 4th of July holiday! I will be back Monday morning with the rest of my Weekend in Review Vlog! Happy Saturday....I have a late night food haul coming up in a while...stay tuned! If you have a blog post or video of your 4th of July, I would love see it if you care to share the link!

Sunday Inspiration:

Sunday, June 15, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful Sunday Fathers Day. Scott and I snuggled up in bed and slept in today and then even got up and dozed back off on the couches. It took a while for us to find our motivation and get moving. In the late afternoon we finally went out and ran some errands along with some grocery shopping and enjoyed the beautiful night together.

For the past couple of days we have been surrounded with an insaine amount of stress. Scotts physco exwife was drunk calling us all hours of the night. She was screaming and just going crazy. We had to call the police and have them do a welfare check on Zane. She was a mess and I think its just so sad for the little boy in the middle. We had to block her number last night just so we could get some sleep. So far today she has been quiet which is nice. She probably was so messed up last night and don't even remember what she said or how she acted. Needless to say steps are being taken. I know God has a plan for this situation and I hope in the end everyone involved will just make sure the kids are safe. She was involuntary committed this time last year so I am guessing she is off her meds again.

However, Scott and I are doing our best to not let it destroy our happiness together but its hard to ignore. We tried to find little moments of happiness in between the outburst and are moving into the week hoping its going to be a fresh start. I haven't even recorded a lot over the weekend, just trying to have some down time with Scott. You know this sure isn't easy on him being on Fathers Day and all. Just a little while she did call cursing and not letting him speak to his son. How sad is that? I hate it when people use their kids as pawns to get even with their ex's. I am not always happy with my ex husband but he doesn't give us half the issues she does. I am just going to try to stay out of it as much as possible and pray for Zane.

This is a busy week for me. I am going to be making jelly...getting the house cleaned up.. and I have a lot of desk work and I haven't even began to edit my weekend vlog footage or started my Week in Review post. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I might end up pushing jelly making to Tuesday if I have to but I can't mess around too much because the strawberry's will rot fast. Speaking of the strawberries, we made it a trip to the market and I am uploading our food haul now. I still have a bunch of stuff to do before I get in a hot bath but I just wanted to check in and say hi!

I hope you have a great week and I'll be back tomorrow! :)
