Its been raining all night. Literally all night long. Its still thundering and raining cats and dogs outside. Scott really thought we were going to loose our electric but we didn't. I wouldn't have really minded if we had because those nights seem to be the most calming and sometimes the most romantic nights of all!
We didn't do much tonight. Scott is still feeling really sick.. me, not so much but he seems miserable. I was happy when he went to bed. I think he tried really hard to not be grumpy tonight but when sick, the best place to be is in your bed..
For dinner tonight.. I made something super easy.
Lasagna..
Now I did get the Great Value Frozen Lasagna. I personally think this is a really good lasagna for a store product. Its made with ground beef, cottage cheese, and mozzarella.. All the same stuff I would use.
Now I am not saying its as good as my homemade lasagna but its pretty good without the effort. I baked up some garlic bread and made us some fresh salads to go with.
I think the salad just just as good as any other part of the meal!
We all hung out for a while after dinner, as we normally do but about an hour later we all split to own things. Scott went to bed.. Michael went to watch tv upstairs, and I got busy cleaning the kitchen and working on my Favorites Post and then enjoyed the comfort of a large hot bubble bath.. I'm not sure if its wise to take a bath during a thunderstorm but I couldn't let the rain stop me from my nightly bath!
Like I have said many times, the weather here in the Carolina's is so unpredictable. You never know what its going to do. I am hoping that spring comes fast here. We have been lucky to not have any snow yet but they think we will. Who knows. If they say snow.. I figure a hurricane is on the way. You never know the weather here in the winter. Spring and summer are a little more predictable but still you just never know. I am ready for the lush green trees and flowers.. and I can't wait to start my garden on the back deck. The yard needs some work so I think it will be best to keep it all up high on the deck.
Speaking of the house.. the garbage disposal died last night.. so we are getting another one tomorrow or the next days and the guys are going to replace it. Its crazy how much we use that kitchen monster all the time.. Funny.. I give everything its own little name! My talking map ( gps ) and my kitchen monster ( garbage disposal ) and the list goes on and on. You should hear some of the nick names for the people I don't like. I would publish them but husby would get mad at me and so would the other people.. I don't care about them but I do care what husby thinks. He knows all the nick names but we tend to keep them in just our little circle.
Well tomorrow is already here and I am just going to 1000000000000% get down that Christmas tree.. I know you are probably wondering why I have the tree up still.. Simply put.. I forget about it most days and other days I am either too busy or too lazy to do it. Its in it's own room which is dark most of the time with French doors on it and you really just don't see it. Its in the front of the house and most of the time we are towards the back of the house or upstairs. I don't even see it daily so it makes it really easy to forget about. But Scott has asked and asked so I am doing it tomorrow.. no matter what! Its time to get that study back together where we can open the french doors so we can use that room more.
