Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am right in the middle of vlogmas where I am vlogging daily ( well most days anyway ) but I am back sharing a new review and giveaway plus a free trial for anyone who wants to check out these products. :) Who doesn't love all of that! I was contacted from Everyday Happy to test out and review some of their products. Once I checked out their website and products, I was more than happy to see how they worked for me! Here's the video where I explain everything. Also below are more pictures, information and the entry form to get entered into the giveaway.

Week in Review: Day in the Life Vlog June 8, 2015

Monday, June 8, 2015

Hello friends. I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon. Here, it's a beautiful day and I have been stuck at the desk all day. Not so fun but I am trying to get a few things done while I can. I does feel so weird to me to NOT be cleaning today like my old schedule but desk work is a required part of my life. This blog, my youtube channel and everyday emails and bills all have to be taken care of. I do feel lazy since I have been on my butt most of the day but for us, the day is still young. I will be in the kitchen next and then tossing laundry. I don't think it ever ends! I know things have been crazy with the house. I want you guys to know we are so grateful for your comments and advice. We are going to be staying here another year being Scott worked it all out. I'm still nervous but it will be ok. We have a new lease and that means a lot right now. I took most of the weekend off from vlogging because I just needed time to get my head wrapped around everything that has happened. Our home inspection meant everything to us....sharing our life in that way is scary. But we were so relived only to have the landlord pull the rug out from under us. Thankfully Scott worked it out...and I stayed out of it. I did vlog on Sunday....here it is!

I didn't take a lot of pictures last week... you can actually check out my instagram feed *and hopefully follow a long for pictures. I just had an emotional couple of days. I will try to get back into the swing of things in the coming days. At least until we head off on vacation. But hopefully I can pre record some videos that will pop up while we are gone. I doubt I will be able to include blog posts too for that week, so get subscribed on youtube so you don't miss out!

Here's a few things on this week's to do list:

  • Get past the crazy rental drama that happened to us....it's been handled today and we are in fact staying for at least another year.
  • Make our meal plan and get to the store before the guys start winning that we are out of doughnut sticks and ice-cream...yet we have a lot of food in the house!
  • Unpack boxes and put things away.
  • Pay bills.
  • Find a big floppy hat for our vacation.
  • Brush out kitty cats.
  • Cut back herbs and clean up roses.
  • Figure out next weeks youtube schedule.
  • Update Chalkboard Wall
  • Make more treadmill time.
  • Pack up Jackson for his summer with his dad. :(
  • Father Day gifts??? What to buy?
  • Catch up on laundry.....story of my life.
  • Clean the animals bowls out. Why does the water always look green and slimy in the automatic water dish? Grossssssssss.
  • Start trying on cruise clothes and start figuring out outfits for the week. Shoes too.
  • Clean sliding glass doors.
  • Look for a new grill...I think I am finally giving into the idea of spending the money to just get one.
  • Check PO Box. I haven't checked it in a while and I hope they are not mad at me because of it!
  • Buy extra hangers for cruise.

Here's some inspiration to take along with you throughout the week:

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you guys have a great week. For us, we are going to get back to life back to normal and move on to a happier time! xx

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a great weekend. I am about to head out and do some shopping and errand running today. Not really looking forward to it but I burned the little drip pans that go under the electric burners on the stove...so I need to get a new set. I also need to run to the post office and probably a few other stops along the way. I'll see ya in a bit.  If you are new here, I'd love it if you took a few seconds and subscribed so you don't miss anything. :)

Any new year is a fresh start for all of us. Why not plan out what needs to get done and make a plan so you can accomplish your goals more easily. I have everything listed out from my blog and youtube...all the way down to my home keeping. Hope you find some inspiration in my simple schedule!

I used excel online and found this simple template but you can use any calendar or planner to figure out what would work best for your family. Here is a full look at my schedule...don't forget that you have to scroll over.

I really hope you enjoyed this video. I have 5 questions that I would love for you to answer. They are listed at the end of the video but here they are just in case you missed them.

1. How do you like the new youtube schedule?
2. What are your favorite videos to watch?
3. How would you like to see the daily challenges? Instagram, Daily Youtube Videos, or one video per week?
4. How do you want to see our daily meals? In vlogs or biweekly in their own videos?
5. Any thoughts or suggestions for upcoming 2015 videos?

You can leave your answers on this blog post or the video itself. I would love to hear your thoughts. Have a beautiful and blessed new year!

Laundry Care Series: Laundry Room Tour Video w/ Dollar Tree Organization Ideas!

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Hello friends, I hope you are having a great day. For a while now I have wanted to start a laundry care series because I feel like I have a lot to share regarding all things laundry. Even my husband Scott is going to be doing a couple videos for this series too! I have already done some laundry care videos ( which are included below ) but I really wanted to formally start this off with a simple Laundry room tour. I am also showing other laundry areas on the second floor as well. In a lot of the areas I am going to show you, you will see simple Dollar Tree Organization, simple ideas, and a few cheap laundry room decor that just makes it a little funner to be in there. I mean...to be honest, I do much care for doing laundry! But its a required job in our lives..so I think you should make the space your own suitable for your own family. Here's the video... more pictures and info below! :)

I have a rather small little laundry room located on the 2nd floor. When we first moved into this house, I thought I would hate having the washer on the 2nd floor. However, it has proved to be very handy having it on the same floor as the bedrooms. Being we don't have a ton of room in the laundry room, I use a couple other areas upstairs too.

First this closet. We used this for a linen closet for a year but I moved all those items into the spare bedroom and started using this closet for extra storage.

On the top shelf I keep extra products such as bleach, laundry soap, toilet paper, my homemade laundry soap and even a couple of beach towels for easy access.

The on the next shelf down I have a lot of cleaning products I use just on the 2nd floor. I hate carrying cleaning supplies floor to floor. So this area hold my handy caddy, extra cleaning supplies in the round basket, I have a basket of rags I use to clean with, along with some extra light bulbs and such.

On the next shelf down I have some green bin from the Dollar Tree. The little green bins hold samples particularly for the boys along with extras for their bathroom. Extra little cups, soap, etc. Its just easier to store those items in this closet than the boys small bathroom. I keep extra bathroom rugs and towels for the animals also on this shelf.

On the next shelf down, you will see more baskets from the Dollar Tree. I have one basket for the different pet care items, then our lanterns live on this shelf. If something happens and we loose electricity when we are on the 2nd floor, you can barely see your hand in front of your face. So we like these to be easy to accessible because it's happened before. Then to the right we have more Dollar Tree bins that hold garbage bags for the 2nd floor, other random items along with another bin for little hand tools that live upstairs too. Its so much easier having items upstairs and downstairs so we are not constantly running up and down the stairs.

Since our hanging rack is not so convenient and too low to actually hang clothes on I use this simple hanger that I found at my local Walmart. It lives right outside the laundry room door and works great to help clothes dry or keep from wrinkling up before I have a chance to put them away.

I also have a laundry sorter right out in the hallway by the laundry room that we all use. This is such a great way to have your family sort the laundry for you as it comes in. I had to add a few little signs to remind them what goes in what because Jackson was forgetting. He wanted to put all the whites together and not sort the white clothes and white towels. :)

Then moving on into the laundry room itself.

As I said.. our laundry room is not big. Its on the 2nd floor which is nice because the bedrooms are all upstairs. But there is not a lot of space in there and which is why I use the other areas. However, I do pack a lot in this little room. The shelf above the washer and dryer was already there when we moved in. But its too low to hang clothes on. On top of it, I have a bunch of storage bins from the Dollar Tree that hold random laundry items that we use and extras. I use the hanging area for spare hangers and clothes pins that hold my delicates to dry. If I was to hang clothes up in there, they would cover the washer and dryer.

Beside my washer I have a Martha Stewart stain chart that really helps when I can't figure out how to get a stain out. I also have some different wall hangings... some of which that came from the Dollar Tree! I also use some cute laundry room decals and such just to make the room more fun to use. Since I have to be in there a lot, I want it to be a place I like.

Also we have our ironing board upstairs and a extra basket for clean towels and such. We also have another ironing board downstairs with all the irons because that is where my husband chooses to iron.

So that is my laundry area in a nutshell. I hope it might inspire you to take a look at the area you use and make it more you! I hate doing laundry. The only thing I really like is how good it smells. But staying organized is such a huge deal with keeping up with the laundry in our home. As as you can see the little organizational items from the Dollar Tree work just fine at a fraction of the price. I will be back with many more laundry videos so stay tuned! If you want to see the videos already up in the series... Here you go!

If you have any laundry care tips that you would want to share....I would love to hear them. Also if you have a laundry room tour that you want to share on there or in the youtube comments, I am sure everyone would love to see it!

I hope you are staying warm on this very cold day....if your stuck home because of the weather, maybe its a good time to catch up on laundry. :)

Weekly Household Shopping Haul - Video -

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday. I am home alone today and I have to admit...I actually kinda like it. For the past few days I have been home with the boys so the little down time I am getting right now is nice! Yesterday Scott and I did our weekly household shopping because a lot of times its too hard to food and household in the same trip. So if you want to see what I got and why I wanted it....enjoy the video below!

Thanks so much for watching! :) I think I am going to head out and get my nails done and come home and get a few things done....including laundry, which I hate doing. Besides those few things, I am hoping its a good day. Let me know if you have any questions or comments about anything you saw in the video.

Well Rested....

Thursday, November 6, 2014
Good afternoon friends! I am just taking a quick break to say hello! I think last night and this morning I probably had the best sleep I've had in a long while. I did sleep in until 10am but once my eyes opened, I felt better than what I have in a long time. Just yesterday I was complaining about actually waking up tired but not today! :)

I have had coffee, checked emails, fed the animals, got cleaned up....make & all, and currently have The View on. I thought I would take a few minutes to say hi to you guys before starting the big tasks of the day. Really they are not so big but I have a list of things I would like to accomplish today. There is a ton of Scott and Jackson's laundry folded and laid out across my desk that is getting put away first. Why is it always more trouble to put it away than anything else? Idk....but its a job I am not too fond of. But when it's done I will feel a lot better. I have some other organizational and cleaning jobs that I also want to try to get done today too. I am lucky to be able to stay home and work on my own schedule. I totally realize it and I am grateful for how hard my husband works allowing me to be able to stay home in my comfy area.

Last night I got the planner video up. It went up much later than I wanted and I even uploaded the 1/2 edited version instead of the final cut. Thankfully I had made most of the changes and adjustments but I should have paid better attention before hitting upload on youtube. It didn't mess with the video in anyway except you see me turning the camera on and off. Besides that...the video is full of helpful calendar and planning tips. If you haven't checked it out yet, click right here to watch! I am so happy it's finally up and I hope you all check it out.

I will be back in a little while with the winner of the Plated giveaway. Thank you to everyone who entered. My the #'s I can tell many many of you would like to try it. If you have anything you want to ask me, feel free to use my contact form to send it in so I can get it answered. I always love your questions for Scott and myself and our family. Sometimes when I have a ton of things to share, I split the videos up but this month...all is in 1. :) I hope you enjoy.

End of the Month Food & Household Shopping + Dollar Tree Haul! | Video |

Saturday, October 18, 2014
Hello everyone. I hope you are all having a beautiful evening. I am wore out. Jackson and I headed out today to get a few things we needed to finish up October is. Can you believe we are moving through the month so fast!? It's insane. Anyway.. it was a long afternoon and I am back sharing the rest of the meals we will be having for October along with the items we needed. I did a quick stop by the Dollar Tree as well.... so that is included too! Hope you enjoy.
Thanks so much for watching. I hope you are staying warm on this cool weekend. I am dealing with feeling a little under the weather with a earache and sore throat. I think the cooler weather is going to kick my butt this year.... still need that flu shot!

Have a great night.

Fall Weekends....

Autumn | via TumblrHello friends. I hope you are having a great afternoon. Jackson and I both slept in until about 10:30. It felt amazing for both of us. My little Jackson is normally out of the bed at 6am so I know today staying cuddled up in the bed felt amazing to him too. I was feeling so bad last night that I was asleep pretty early but I guess it was worth it because I woke up feeling better.
As I sit here and write this post, the wind is kicking and leaves are just falling and floating through the air. Thankfully my little song birds outside are still chirping up a storm. I am sure going to miss them once winter really sets in. And speaking of winter......I saw on the news the other day that the polar vortex is going to be stronger and colder this year. I knew it!!! I could tell by the short spring and summer that winter was going to freeze us out again. Not good. But today the leaves look beautiful falling off the trees flying all around. Even the neighbors outside cat is out there chasing the leaves that are floating....its precious!
Today isn't going to be too busy... here's my quick to do list.
  • Finish menu planning for the week and getting lists together.
  • Run to the PO Box, Grocery Store and Dollar Tree to get weekly supplies
  • Record hauls, put away food and start weekly food prep
  • Bring in more firewood for cooler nights.
  • Work in bedroom closet and spare bedroom this weekend.
  • Go through paperwork, mail, and bills in the evenings to try to get caught up.
  • Enjoy the aroma of the pumpkin fall candles flowing through the house.

I am so happy that even with the wind blowing, leaves floating, the sun is shining and warm. Its beautiful. I am thinking of buying a new rake today so the boys can rake up the leaves, but I doubt either of them will really want to do that. I personally would probably just leave them on the ground to turn into compost but Scott always rakes them up anyway. Plus it makes for great fall pictures! :)
Also in the coming days, there are going to be some major changes to this blog. I have been working/harassing another fellow blogger who does web design. She will be making the changes for me and I am totally excited. I am hoping she is finished by Monday but I gave her a lot of work to do so we'll see! I love the clean white layout to this blog right now but I wanted a change. I wanted color...brightness, and found someone who worked hard with me through numerous emails to figure out what I wanted. And I still don't think we are done. But if you see some changes happening over the weekend, don't be surprised. I will go more into the new design and layout and maybe even do a giveaway for another blogger who might want to give their blog a facelift!
.
Right now we do have a giveaway going on for the plated box. It was totally awesome to get all the ingredients in the mail for such yummy tasty dinners. If you haven't entered you can click right here and check it out....along with getting entered.
I hope you guys have a beautiful and blessed day. I will be back this evening with my weekly food shopping and household shopping hauls. Come back and check them out! < br/ > < br/ >.

Welcome to our Home ♥ Quick Jaggers Family Fall Tour | Video |

Thursday, October 9, 2014
Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful evening. Its been a busy day for me but I still wanted to share this video with you guys tonight. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, so I thought I would take you through our first floor fall decorations. Just seeing the pumpkins out everyday just make me :). Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for watching...We don't really decorate the second floor a bunch because that is more of our private living quaters and besides a few fall candles, we don't really put a lot of decorations up there. I still have a few that I need to get out on the porch but I will show that area closer to Halloween! I hope you have a beautiful and blessed night.
