Good Day!!

Hello!

I finally have some time to myself so of course I am sitting back blogging!

Its been a long day.. I woke up..went to the nail salon.. ( pictures to come tomorrow )...then seen Scott at the dealership.. He got me a gift that I had to go pick up. Then off to do some shopping. I came home and got things ready for the cook out. Scott was home by 4:30..helping out!

It started to look...

Like rain was moving in so we moved the car out of the garage and put everything in there to keep it dry!

Good thing because it started pouring down. I know its hard to tell but it was really starting to come down..

But it didn't last too long and it did help cool it down but we stayed in the garage anyway.. It kept raining off and on so it was the right choice!

Before long we had friends showing up..

This sweet little girl is Macy.. That's her step mom my friend Karen sitting with her.

She is a Dakota Fanning look alike!!!

We put Rick.. Karen's Husband in charge of the grill and we all hung out and enjoyed the evening!

There is Michael next to Scott and then we had some new friends come over. You cant see the guy but his name is Scott.. works at the dealership and that's his wife. Really nice couple..Their daughter is at Prom tonight and dad is pretty concerned! My other girlfriend was running late and I didn't get a picture of her! But she showed up and had a great time too!

Scott decided to have a hand at the grill..

Here was my dinner.. I only ate half the hamburger because I needed to keep room for a hot dog! We had baked beans..potato salad..hamburgers..hot dogs..chips..banana pudding..cupcakes...Just regular easy grilling out food. I really wanted to keep it simple so I could spend more time with friends.

Here I am after a few drinks.. feeling wore out!

Everyone came in and saw the babies.. I am certain that Gabby didn't like all the people coming in and bothering her but she handled it well. Was right next to the kittens the entire time making sure no one hurt them..I'll tell you what...when one of those kittens crys she is very alert and protective.

Everyone left around 1030 -1100 .... I had a great time but I was starting to get tired. Really I was wore out and after everyone left..I was happy to be able to get some sweats on.. wash off the make up and just relax. I am sorry about not getting many post up..But real life comes before blogging. Even though I sometimes like blogging better! =))

Once everyone left Scott and I went in to hang out with Gabby and the kitties.

I think this has to be the best picture of the babies tonight! Actually baby! This is the chocolate one out of the bunch that I am most likely keeping. Sleeping on her mommy's paw. I mean does it really get sweeter than this!?

I guess it does because another curled up too while the 3rd one nurses.. You can barley see that one.. But that's Giovanni Jaggers Jr. and he always likes to eat! Scott and I both are really proud people right now! God couldn't have given kittens to a better home than ours. The amount of love we have for them is beyond measure..

Tonight.. My girlfriend Karen came into the house to use the bathroom and I wanted to grab something out of the spare bedroom. Gabby was under the bed and all I could only see 2 kittens with her. I had already looked in the basket and there were no kittens.. So I get Gabby out from under the bed with the 2 kittens and I couldn't find the 3rd kitten.. It was kitten # 2 ~ one of the white ones~ and I was flipping out. I yelled for Karen...She was looking all under the bed..all over and she couldn't find it either. I was panicked.. Tears were building up. Scott was out in the garage hanging out and I told Karen.." I got to go tell him" I go get him and tell him in the bedroom that one of the kittens are missing..He said panic was all over my face and also Karen's face.. He looks down at the basket and says.. " Here it is.. " It had crawled in the pillow case and was all the way at the other end. Funny thing is Karen picked up the pillow and didn't see it!!! Mind you is 4 oz and white.. Same color as the pillow case. I was so freaking relieved. I didn't know what happened.. I even thought for a second that she ate it.. Karen was like no.. there would be blood.. Guess that what a couple of buzzed girls get!! Karen and both were really happy to see that kitten.. If I couldn't have found that cat... I would have had a panic attack and flipped out.. Scott was so cool and calm and it was a great help!! Now that I realize that they can get inside that that pillow case and possibly suffocate that has been fixed.. Its pined now where that cant happen again. I make no excuses that I am a new breeder.. I have friends and associates that are breeders but I am new to the business. I have a lot to learn and most of it has to be from experience...no one ever warned me that a pillow case can be dangerous for a kitten.. Who would have guessed that? I expect over the next 3 years that my cattery will be pretty big. I am super excited to be starting it and next I need to buy another male.. I think that's going to be a Christmas present from mom.. or Scott!! I am also going to have some cages made..Everyone says follow your passion to be happy.. And cats are a huge passion of mine.. and really everyone is right...

Cooper acted up tonight.. He growled at Giovanni. Wasn't too happy with that. I wanted to knock him upside his head.. Lucky we had company other wise I probably would have. I don't have aggressive dogs.. That's a sure way to end up at the pound. I actually have a fear of dogs and I just don't do it. I don't know what Coopers deal was. He was laying on the floor with a stuffed animal and really growled at the cat. Scott and I totally disagreed on how to handle it. He got his way.. but it wont happen again.. not in that situation. I didn't want to get into a fight in front of our friends but..that dog better check his attitude or he's moving out. Hes normally a great dog.. But tonight he had an attitude. For his sake he better make tomorrow a better day. the cat wasn't doing anything but rubbing on him.. I don't get it but .. i don't need to get it.. He needs to get it.. If he is growling at someone trying to get into the house is one thing..but not the cats and not kids.. or me.. He still has something to learn.. For sure..

I got about 6 emails that I need to respond to..Sorry!! If you are waiting on a email I will try to have them done tomorrow. Sigma sent me an email about doing a giveaway! Love that.. got to figure out all the details but hopefully that giveaway will be coming up sometime soon in the future! Also if you are waiting on a recipe.. I will try to find it and send it your way.. I love your emails and I will work hard on getting them done soon! Just been really busy around here. I am hoping tomorrow will be easy and laid back..where I can clean the house and blog. I think Scott is playing golf and then staying home the rest of the day. I think we both just want to lay around and take it easy.

Scott seemed to really have a good time tonight. He is so social... I swear.. that man never meets a stranger. Its good because I am not so out going!! He always takes the pressure off.. One of the many reasons I love him so much. I could go on and on about him. He has a heart of gold..

Ohh.. also he plugged in a big fan and it blew a breaker..shocked him and also in the process burnt up my power cord to the laptop..Not sooo happy about it but tomorrow I will have to get another one from walmart.. So it might be later in the day before you guys hear from me!
