We all had such a great time at Christmas with our family this year. Its great getting everyone together once a year and celebrating. I had to do this video of a bunch of my Christmas loves because some of them are really cool!

Homemade Christmas Gifts : Window Frame Chalkboards

I know its super early to start posting gifts for Christmas but I decided that the earlier the better. I think this is a great idea for a gift for anyone..

Starting to brainstorm now will give all of us time to look for the materials before the last minute.. 

I found this idea over at.. Homemade Renegade.. It looks pretty easy.. There are a few steps to follow but I think when making a gift.. you should put a little more time and effort in it. 

I love this idea..and I think I might have to start looking for some old frames. LOVE IT!

Valentine's Day Centerpiece

This Valentine's Day, make a beautiful centerpiece with roses and candy hearts. This "sweet" floral arrangement with peeps and candy is so fun and easy to make. Isn't Valentines Day a great excuse for decorating the house in cute hearts and pretty flowers!?

I found this online and thought I would share it with you!

What you need:

a small glass and a large glass vase

red and white roses, red heart peeps and sweetheart candy

Place a tall and narrow drinking glass inside the large hurricane. Fill the glass with roses and water. Around the sides, pour the sweet-heart candies in the bottom. Place two layers of red heart peeps around the hurricane on top of the candy, voila! A Valentine's Day treat!

Love this.. I think it would look great on any table and would also make a great gift! I like to celebrate Valentines day the entire week of.. so this might just be included in our Valentine decorations!

Off To Bed..

Its late and I sure as shit should be asleep but here I am.. I haven't even took my sleep meds yet.. in fact I will be doing that in just a few minutes. I am already yawing tonight so I think 1 will do!

Well today was productive but not as much as I had hoped for. But.. its ok.. I got tomorrow and Thursday..
Friday will be insane. and I doubt I will get much done around the house on that day. The house needs to be finished by Thursday night so Friday I can just roll out of here when I get up.. or maybe, I should just plan on getting up really early and that way I will have time to get the house picked up one last time before going out to buy last minute Christmas gifts, pay bills, and deliver cookies!

Speaking of cookies..

I got busy on the baggies for the chocolate chips and got them all bagged up and put in the tins. YEA!! I was so happy to finish them. I showed you that Scott is already packing the boxes out in this POST.. He actually called me his little Amish Wife tonight. Ha! I guess because I got busy making some homemade gifts.. threw him for a loop. I just thought it would be something nice to do for others. I just hope everyone likes it!

I also got out this family

punch bowl. This was my great great grandmothers and has been passed down year after year and all the cups and bowl and stand have all endured time except..

the ladle. My grandmother broke it and got another one.. and that's the one it had when I got it. So I leave it alone but I would like to find a different one. I guess one day Brittany will have this. Anyway, got it down.. its all dirty and dusty..so cleaning it up for the Christmas eve eggnog!

My husby got busy

He got a ton of them done tonight. Wooooo-hoooo!! I love that he takes over that job! He would take little breaks and give

willow some love. She is just the sweetest cat ever.. I can't wait till she gives us some beautiful babies in the summer!

Ohh.. I ran out of gift tags so I got online and found these cute ones that I printed out.

Well tomorrow is here already..and I am running behind even at this point. I had hoped to be asleep by 2am. I don't even plan on leaving the house tomorrow. I am starting upstairs.. working room to room and then coming down stairs and doing the same thing. I doubt I will be able to finish it all in one day so I will be finishing it up on Thursday.. However, Thursday is grocery shopping day.. so I will just have to get an early start with it all!

I can't wait to get finished up with all this work so when my family comes, I can concentrate on them.. not the house! I can clean after everyone leaves on Monday!

No More Tonight..

How great is that picture.. Another one, I am going to print out and hang up! I looooove it!! How can anyone not love that!? I miss those kittens sooo much.. but I know they are being loved and cared for.

Well today was another busy day. Once I got going.. I didn't stop. Scott helped with the laundry but the clothes have not made it any further than the laundry room. Husby has a short attention span so its not surprising. I guess I will get them put up tomorrow. I am thankful for the help though.

I also got ...

more of the steak rubs made and got a pretty

bow tied aroud it.

These are really good.. and I love that Scott and I are kinda going to be in our friends kitchens!

I also got the

Crinkle Cookies bagged up.

I opened all the tins.. and the smell that came across that room was amazing!!

Got the crackle cookies put in..

lids back on..

And moved on to making more of the

raspberry shortbread thumbprints.. This took up a lot of my day.

And I also got the brownies made and

cut out..

I think its pretty sweet with that candy cane. These won't be finished till tomorrow afternoon.. but they sure are sweet already!

I keep putting little amounts of the goodies out for us.. well mainly husby

to snack on..

I have got to clean this out in a couple days to make room for more!!

Ohh remember how I told you I should show you what I found when we went thrift shopping...

Tonight Scott and I both seemed a little grumpy. I am just tied.. he said his back was hurting.. but he sent me the sweetest text ever..

as you can see.. I decided it best to not have husby's phone # on the web. Mine is published every where from facebook to google.. but glad to have his private! I thought it was a really kind text. I don't think he thought that I found it sweet but he was being a shit today. He took a long nap and I was hoping he would wake up happy.. but that wasn't the case either. I am glad he is sound asleep because he has a long day tomorrow. I do too but I don't have to wake as early as he does.

Tomorrow... I have another busy day..

Lets see..

* Get started on working on the the first spare room *

* Run to store..need flour and another ham *

* Bake Chocolate Cookies and get them bagged up *

* Work on Master Shopping list for Thursday *

* Finish brownie Christmas Trees *

* Put laundry up *

* Make the other peppermint hot coocas *

* Wrap gifts *

* And got some phone calls to make *

So going to be a busy day for me. I am sure I will be chatting with you as normal. I take breaks.. and it truly makes it so much better.

Well.. Its 130 am and I want to be asleep in 35 minutes or so..

OHHH.. One More Thing..

Back to BAKING!!

Well I am back from the store..had some

great Chinese food..

I think I got everything that I need from the store to finish up the cookies.. no telling!! Might have to run back out again for that mystery ingredient that I don't have!

I found these

Little mini pretzels for the reindeer antlers. If you don't know what I am talking about..

I also found both the kinds of

m & m's for the cookies..

Of course, had to get lots more

white chocolate and dark chocolate chips.

More sweetened condensed milk too. I think this has to be one of the holiday's top buys for bakers!

Since the shortbread cookies were so good, I am for sure going to be making more.. for step by step directions click RIGHT HERE.  I love the raspberry shortbread thumbprints. LOVE THEM!

Forgot something!! That's not last.. I also got a ton of spices to make the steak rub..

Here it is.. All I have to do is make a lot and fill the little jars and add a pretty bow!

I bought some beef tenderloin steaks for dinner tonight and I am going to put it on ours to make sure it really taste good!

I put on the Christmas movie..

and its hard to get motivated to bake now! Husby is working late. The car business stays open no matter what time it is if there are customers there. Something I don't always like but I have got a little more use of it!!

I guess its time.. to Bake!

Tired

I am wore out tonight. I got a ton of things done today but right now.. this minute.. I am finished for the night. I will start again as soon as I wake up. More about that later..

But here is my night in a few pictures and a couple videos!

First off tonight's dinner was..

Chicken Parmsian.. I loved it.. husby ate everything but the pasta!

I was soooo happy to find a box with

Tonight husby brought home this bag that he was given today..

that someone gave him at work today.

Then we ran to a friends house and on the way home I got some videos of the Christmas lights around here..

as you can see we were giggling up a storm tonight. It continued all the way till husby fell asleep! He had a good day at work.. sold a lot of cars.. and I think that put him in the good mood!

After dinner and picking up the kitchen, I got in the best

bubble bath ever..

Afterwards, I came back downstairs and got busy on the finishing the

sugar scrubs

I think they came out pretty cute!

I kept them pretty simple..

because they are going

into these bags anyway.

I wiped them all down one last time..

bagged them up

one by one and I was DONE!! I do have 2 more sugar scrubs to make still.. Will finish that over the weekend!

 I then moved on to getting

the shortbread cookies

in the tins with the snowballs.

Tomorrow I am heading back to the store to get the rest of the cookie supplies. I think I will run to Walmart because they will have everything cheaper. Plus I need to look for a big ham!

I plan on getting the dinner menu posted tomorrow or Sunday sometime. Its rather simple and elegant. I am only feeding 8 people so it should be pretty easy! You guys know you are more than welcome to follow along if you like!

So my hope is that in the next 15 minutes I am in my bed sleeping.. I need to try to get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow too!
