Day in the Life Vlog w/ a Newborn

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

Hello everyone! I am back sharing a new day in the vlog. It's just what has went on around here in the past week. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking on us. Hope you have a wonderful blessed day.

Week in Review → Day in the Life Vlog!

Thursday, April 13, 2017

Hello friends! It's no secret that I am behind on mostly everything when it comes to videos and this little blog of mine. This is not going to be some huge week in review like you guys are use to. Instead you are getting a " somewhat regular "....meaning nothing really exciting this week along with just a few photos. There are just not enough hours in the day! :) Here's what went on around here last week. Hope you enjoy.

Life is pretty ordinary for me right now. Work...sleep...and repeat! But my schedule won't always be so crazy and hopefully I can get back on a schedule sometime in the near future.

On Tuesday of last week, I had traffic court. I hated the idea of even going. Court is never fun. It's never somewhere I want to be. I am always scared I am going to get the flu from the other people around. And I am always trying to find a way out of it.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as I had imagined...right! I was there a total of 10 minutes and my ticket was dismissed. Fancy that!

That same day my boss bought us pizza's and it was so yummy. I had not been to Toppit yet being there are so many new restaurants that have popped up while I was gone. But I am really happy with my lunch!

They do a pretty good job of taking care of me at work. I can tell you this....I am never hungry! And if I am it's only for a few minutes until something is cooked up for me! Thank you Beth for this sweet surprise!

There were plenty of nights when I watched Ryan sleep. He always looks so sweet and peaceful. I absolutely love this photo.

Those night have been followed by a lot of early mornings. However I do see some of the prettiest sunrises on my way to work.

There were also random Dr. appointments, running kids around trying to make sure they have everything they need. Jackson is really getting taller! I am so proud of him. Even though he likes to act like a tough guy a lot of times, I still see my sweet baby every time I look at him.

And he's pretty funny too!

Some of my evenings have been occupied by the grand kids. Laura is working 2 jobs which means we all have to help out sometimes. And I love them so much that I am happy to help. Watching them grow up has certainly been a privilege.

And guess who they really love! They were so calm that night. Then he walked in the door and it all changed! I think they could just feel his fun energy!

It's important to me that our families like each other. I want us all to spend time together. I want family dinners, holidays together and I am so happy everyone has accepted Ryan the way the have. Mainly the kids. None of this has been easy. We are all just trying to make as many good memories as we can and see what the future holds.

Thank you guys for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with a new food haul. I hope you are having a great week. Hell, at this point we are already to the weekend! :) Have a beautiful and blessed day. xx

Week in Review March 6-12, 2017 w/ DITL Vlog!

Monday, March 13, 2017

Hello friends. Happy Monday. I hope you are having a beautiful start to this new week. I am back sharing a new vlog along with a new week in review. I have done this for so many years that I just feel it's something I want to continue. Here's the vlog and more is below. Hope you enjoy.

A little more about my week:

This past week was I guess what I would consider a typical week. I worked a lot and I didn't have a lot of time to get other things done. But I am trying to get back on some kind of schedule. I have made decisions based on being a stay at home wife and mom for so many years. Now that I am working, my decisions are a lot of times different than what they use to be. However, moving back home means I spend a lot more time with family and friends. I think it was what I was craving the most after being gone so long. I actually get to go to preschool with Laura and spend more time with the kids. I get to see and spend more time with Brittany and other family and friends. I am happy to be here. I really am. It's what I dreamed of. I get to hear the grand kids laughter everyday. I get to see Laura, Brittany, and Jackson as much as I want. I get to see old friends and even make new ones. It's really strange how things work out sometimes. There is truly no predicting the future.

I am also very comforted in knowing that I have so many of my old friends back in my everyday life. Friends that I have had forever. People I have loved for a very long time. Ryan is at the top of that list. I am blessed to have someone who knows me so well. The scary thing is we are a lot alike. I think that's good since Scott and I were opposites on just about everything. I am really trying to not make a lot of the same mistakes. I am trying harder in every aspect of my life. I feel like with all the pain of things going so horribly wrong, I got stronger. I have learned what I want more and trying to accomplish it. Some of my goals are pretty simple really....be a better mom. be a better girlfriend... be a better friend. I have cut out all toxic people. I stopped caring about what others think about me. I have to be able to look at myself in the mirror and live with the choices I make. I MAKE. I am sure some people think they can tell me or explain to me what I should be doing....what I shouldn't be doing but this life was given to me. It's my path to walk and it's my story to tell. I have really been trying to focus on the positive and know that my happiness is dependent on no one but myself. I think as days turn to weeks and weeks to months and months to years, I will continue to learn the lessons God wants. I will get stronger and I will continue to strive to do better. I don't have the time to live unhappy. I know better than anyone that we are on borrowed time. Why waste a single moment of it?

I am so happy that this week was a good week. Spent with good friends, family and even good wine from time to time. :) This French Lick wine is soooooo good. Try it!

This week is going to be busy, fun and exhausting all at the same time. I work some and then leave on Thursday to go on vacation. Ryan planned it all out and I think we are going to have a lot of fun. He works hard and I know he needs a break. I also could use a few nights of fun and mornings sleeping in next to him. I feel so comfortable with him. Probably more so than in my marriage. Again, I guess it goes back to us knowing each other for so long. He's really quiet sensitive and gentle. It's all about love. We all just want to be loved and he is no different. I have no idea where our relationship will go. I have stopped trying to guess the future after everything that has happened. But I am excited to find out.

Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Hello everyone. It's Tuesday night and I am just getting around to writing this post and sharing it. It's been a long couple of days. I honestly didn't ever realize how hard it would be to keep up with this blog with a job and family. I understand now. There are less hours in the day it seems. There are so many things pushed back and unfortunately this blog and my videos seem to take the brunt of it. I am coming to the realization that I just have to do what I can when I can and move on with it. I don't need to overthink it. I don't need to worry about it. I just need to put one foot in front of the other and get it done. Soooooo...I know it's Tuesday and I am just getting around to posting the WIR. Actually Tuesday Truths just went up a while ago. It is what it is! :)

Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog

Monday, February 27, 2017

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I am back today with my latest DITL Vlog and a new week in review. It's been a while since I have got one of these up for you guys. Lots of photos and me rambling on. Hope you enjoy!

I decided after a while of no videos that I would just come back with a new ditl vlog. I don't plan on doing anymore than one a week if that. I hope to get other videos up as well. Here is a little bit of how things have been going.

Since I have moved back home so much has happened. I have been through so many life changes. Not all were good or easy either. However, one of the biggest greatest things about being here in Indiana is Brittany. She was a huge part of the reason to come back home. I was tired of missing out on all those big and little things with her. Most days I feel like a taxi driver running her, Jackson and even Maekenzie around. We are always in the car it seems....going from one practice to another or running items back and forth.

 Right now in the middle of the school year there hasn't been a lot of time for fun but it doesn't matter. We are still all getting to spend time with each other and finding joy even in the smallest of things.

I simply need to balance my time more because I miss doing the fun things. We need more family days. We just do. I tend to smile a lot more when the kids are around. The girls and Jackson just bring a new breath of fresh air to my life. And for that alone I am so grateful.

This past week as also hard and sad when I had to pick up Scotts ashes from the funeral home. I never imagined I would have to do that. I am still not sure what to do with him but in time we will figure that out. I think the ripple effect from his death will last a very long time with his kids and grand children. They will never know him and the kids that do remember will always miss him.

Laura and I still spend a lot of time together. I see her daily and it has given me more time with my grand children. They are growing up so fast. I guess I am trying to love Laura and the kids enough for both of us. Laura is one of the best people I know. I also moved back here for her them as well. We are family and I don't think that will ever change.

I always wanted a houseful of girls. Always. I might not have had them myself but with Laura, her daughters, Ryan's daughter and Brittany along with Brittany's best friend Kenzie I am surrounded with amazing girls. They make me smile all the time.

I have been struggling to find a good balance between work, kids, the animals, family. Just like the rest of you! On my days off I tend to run errands and clean. The apartment is smaller which helps a lot but even my days off are not just lounging days anymore.

I am so happy we finally got a vacuum. It was fine borrowing Laura's all the time but its nice having one here. Little by little I am trying to rebuild, grow stronger and more confident. It just feels weird being my age starting over. But it's also a little empowering.

Some nights around here we enjoy Chinese in bed...

I don't particularly like cooking that much. I guess I got use to not cooking much when I was in the camper. Ryan prefers dinner a little more than I do! But I am slowly getting back in the grocery store again so I can make dinner for us. He's actually bringing back a little stability in my life. And God knows that's a tall order for anyone.

 I will hopefully have some new food hauls and recipes up soon for you guys too. I also plan on putting up a new tea video sometime soon sharing my favorites. Maybe I'll include a giveaway as well! :)

Life around here has been pretty busy and calm all at the same time. The cats seem to be adjusting to everything just fine. Gabby is as sweet as ever and Romeo is just plain spoiled rotten. He actually just celebrated his 5th birthday! That is one of the most loved animals I have ever had. The kids, Ryan, my friends just love him as much as I do. And Gabby has just fallen in love with Ryan.

Image result for light snow tumblrWe have been having the strangest weather this week. Friday we were in the high 70's. It was crazy. I was loving it. I think everyone around here was loving it. Then the next day, we actually dropped to 30 degrees and snow started to fall. I was at work when I noticed the snowflakes glistening away. This kind of strange weather has been going on all winter. I think its going to get us all sick. But just for a few hours I enjoyed watching it come down. The weather report shows that this week we will have a lot of rain. We are basically having all four seasons in one month. Who would have guessed.

Many have left such sweet comments on that vlog. I tell myself that I want/need to keep working as much as I can, but I'm still dealing with so many mental blocks that it's been kinda tough to put my thoughts together, so thank you for your patience with the cope with the ups and downs that have become so consistent in my life and posts. That's my life now after all:) There have been many days when I smile so big my cheeks hurt, and my heart feels light like it hasn't felt in so long, and then there are other days I feel the crushing grasp of heartache that literally takes my breath away. A lot of my thoughts are deep and heavy. Inquisitive at times. I want answers to questions that I will never get. But I am doing my best to remember the good things in my life. I have Ryan and he is doing his best to make me happy. He does make me smile and laugh a lot which really means a lot to me. He knows I am a mess a lot of the time. But somehow we both are saving each other really. I think he needed to be loved as well. We are trying to create new beginnings. My heart has been changed. In every sense it's been broken, battered and crushed, and these days I really feel so much more deeply than I would've ever thought possible. I just want to be happy. I am too old for anything else. I know not everyone understands and that's ok. They don't have to. But he makes me feel better. And I love him. Having him around feels so easy and natural. I feel like our lives are pieces of the same puzzle. We have known each other since we were kids. And were together before Scott and I and here we are now. I am sure that you will get to know him more in the future.

I know that I have a lot to live for still. I have been terrible with change for years. I like routines, schedules, and certainty. But all these unexpected things that keep happening are just making learn to live more in the moment. I am taking more risks coming out of my comfort zone. It's been a new way of life.

I have so many new goals and hopes for the future. Starting over at my age might seem crazy. It kinda is but I think it brings the opportunity to do things better. To love harder. To try harder. To be a better parent. To work harder. I have always loved fresh starts. And this is a new beginning for me. And really I am just putting one foot in front of the other trying to move on. And that's where I'm at. Just trying to find my way down a new path. Thank you guys for coming along with me. ♥♥♥

Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog..plus Weekly To Do's :)

Monday, August 24, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. However this week, I am only sharing one vlog. Hope you enjoy!

Last week started off like any normal week around here. I was up early and I worked a long time on the computer before starting my weekly cleaning. I have been doing my weekly cleaning mid week but I knew Scott was off on Tuesday and I had things going on Wednesday so I just got busy around the house. Waking up much earlier, I seem to get a lot more done during regular daytime hours! It's a change to say the least.

It has been different not having Jackson here all day. Summer is over and that means most Tuesday's Scott and I get to enjoy a little day date out. This past Tuesday we took off and enjoyed such a delicious lunch at Sushi Dojo.

I could eat here everyday of the week.:) I normally start off with the Dojo soup and then a crisp cold salad before indulging in delicious sushi. Scott and I are very different sushi eaters but we can always find something we both love.

As the week went on, I happened to get in a few sale items that I ordered. I love the Bare Minerals makeup. I really do. I think my skin is looking better and better due to that mineral makeup. When I was looking on their website, I found a couple of items on sale that kinda excited me. I went for the Bare Minerals Always Perfect Mini Bareskin Perfecting Veil and Brush Duo. And I also got the Touch up to Glow illuminating touch up veil and brush duo. I wish I could just order one of everything.

I also was notified of another crocs sale and I ended up getting a $55 pair of Crocs Skimmers for $24. My Croc Wedges are one of the most comfortable pair of wedges I have ever owned so I thought these might just be as comfortable for everyday use around the house. And guess what? They are soooo comfortable to wear! I love them and think they will take me out of summer and into fall.

I also finally got around going to the grocery store. I ended up getting more household stuff than food but the boys were screaming that they were starving so I had to go. And guess what? I had to carry all those bags in myself! Summer is officially over here in the Jaggers house. There are no more kids to help carry stuff in. I did find something rather interesting. Apriums! It's a fruit that is a cross of apricots and plums. Gosh you guys....they are so unbelievably good! I found them at Walmart in the produce area.. look for them!

The weekend went pretty well. I feel like I got just a couple steps ahead over Saturday and Sunday. I got busy with laundry and get the house picked up on Saturday and then Sunday we just laid around most of the day until the evening hours when I got busy again with my night time routine.

I like the house cleaned up and ready for the morning before I head to bed each night. I feel like with a good nighttime routine, you can make mornings a breeze. I did however just share my morning routine with you guys too.

I think it's important to start the day off right which will hopefully lead to a more productive organized day. I have a new video coming up soon all about sleep...so stay tuned for that!

I woke up this morning bright and early around 6am with the boys. I still don't think they know what to do with me being up each morning. You would think it would make them super happy but not so much. Scott and Jackson have been use to having the house to themselves morning after morning and I have since through a money wrench in it. But it's nice seeing them before they head off to work and school.

Right now the contractors are here working in the upstairs bathroom and then the bottom bathroom is need in repairs. So it's a busy day at the Jaggers house! :) Thankfully Scott is taking Jackson to the Dr.'s today because I don't want to leave them here alone.

Here's what I need to get done this week:

:: Keep up pre recording videos to stay ahead of schedule.
:: Order new tri-pod arm.
:: Bath Cooper
:: Check on Laura...in a couple of hours
:: Make time for treadmill workouts...even through the hip pain I have been having.
:: Try to not fall asleep with a wet head....my hair is always insane the next morning.
:: Call the Trash Pick up people....where are they??
:: Water plants
:: Make more time to read.
:: Mop kitchen floor later today.
:: Call school re Scott picking him up.
:: Purge old magazines
:: Make cupcakes or brownies....hummmm...which one!?
:: Quick pickup of Master Closet...I have no idea why that little room gets so messy so fast.
:: Toss Nikes in washer for a refresher.
::Clean up back porch.
::Update chalkboard wall.
:: Food prep as much as possible for this week's dinners.
:: Burn more candles
:: Call and check on mom.
:: File papers away and clean up desk.
:: Send package to Brittany Belle.
:: Clean ceiling fans.
:: Make scrapbook for Scotts step mom from the cruise and get it mailed!
:: Clean up inbox.
:: Brush out kitty cats.

Here's some inspiration to take with you through the week:

Thank you so much for stopping by. I plan on keeping busy with things around the house. I have tried to get post up for hours on end but I have stopped and worked on this or that...taken phone calls and so much more. But I hope you are having a great week
...I'll see ya soon! Thanks for stopping by. I'll talk to ya soon!

Day in the Life Vlog: Week in Review August 3-10, 2015

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. However this week, I am only sharing one vlog. There was just not that much going on. I actually debated putting this up, because it's kinda emotional at certain parts. Just know that I am forging on with a new day and a new week. Hope you enjoy.

It seemed like a lot of the week consisted of cleaning things up around the house which is a never ending job. There is ALWAYS something around here that needs to be cleaned up, organized, put away or thrown away. This is the time of the year when I like to have a fresh start of sorts. A new school year starting totally feels like a new year to me. It always has. But busy days have passed and more are to come. We got a lot of school shopping done and out of the way. I have 2 more back to school appointments for Jackson this week and then school starts on Monday. I actually think my days will be a lot more productive than what they are right now after he is back to school. It's easy to sit back and play with him and not get much done. However, since starting to get up earlier which actually started this past May, I have been busy in the mornings and making the afternoons my own. It's different each day but I am happy with the extra time.

Jackson has been loving his time off from school. All the other kids in the family have started back already and he still has the rest of this week to go! He's been taking advantage of summers of the golf course with Scott. His summers actually work out well because he has 1/2 the summer with his dad hunting, fishing and such and the other 1/2 of the summer with his step dad and friends. Its a well rounded summer for Jackson to say the least. He wants to go paint some ceramics before school starts back up so we might just have to put that on the to do list too. The week flew by for me. I remember Monday clearly of last week and then it all seemed to go by in a flash.

This past week I have been noticing some problems since installing Windows 10 and I kept trying to fix the bugs. However, I just couldn't deal with it and ended up working with tech support from Dell on Saturday to resolve the issues and get my computer working right again. It was hours on end. He just took over the computer from India and did his thing. Thankfully I got it all back to normal and then Sunday I spent most of the day installing updates and software that was erased. Its been a long process. Once again...I feel behind on everything.

To Do's

- Get back on schedule with videos. A couple of days of a messed up computer changes things fast.
- Get Jackson to bed sooner this week before school starts next Monday.
- Re organize a couple closets this week.
- Make Banana bread!
- Clean up porches
- Continue to wake up early and execute morning routine.
-Wrap up giveaway prizes and get them to the post office by Thursday.
- Catch up on videos...need to grab husby to come help with a couple. :)
- Buy Jackson another pair of earbuds
- Keep looking for new puppy....and find it soon!
- Walk on treadmill more.
- Find some candles for the fireplace.
- Replace water in fresh flowers.
- Find time to write some movie reviews....actually do a full blog post. Why does that seem so hard right now?
- Run to walmart for organizing supplies.
- Bath all the cats....it's totally happening today.
- Check PO Box
- Keep looking for a new house that we would be happier in.
- Wash floor mats out in car. I think it smells weird in the car and not sure why.
- Clean up desk....it's a disaster!
- Start making some freezer breakfast items before school starts.

Here's some inspiration to take with you through the week...

Thank you so much for stopping by. I plan on keeping busy with things around the house. I have tried to get post up for hours on end but I have stopped and worked on this or that...taken phone calls and so much more. But I hope you are having a great Tuesday...I'll see ya soon! Thanks for stopping by. I'd love it if you got subscribed! ↓ xx

Week in Review: Day in the Life Vlog July 13-20, 2015

Monday, July 20, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great start to your week. I am still tired a bit but I have a busy day ahead of me so hopefully the coffee starts working fast. :) Normally I put up a big week in review but today is a bit different. I don't have a ton of time so it's going to be a bit shorter. Here's the latest day in the life vlog....from last week. Hope you enjoy!

Here's a little more about our week:

Starting off last week, it was not that exciting. I did a ton of online work trying to not only get caught up but also trying to get a few things done ahead of Brittany coming to visit. I consider this blog and my youtube channel a part time job of sorts so to take off, I feel like I have to get as much done as possible to get things done ahead of time. It was a lot of time at the house and at the desk. Not too much fun!

I did get a little shopping done at the beginning of the week. Scott and I have been eating a few more adult type dinners since we have been kid free. We normally are eating more kid meals with cheeseburgers, pizza and dinners that Jackson likes. However, it's been cheese plates, scallops....you know, meals the kids just don't care for. Not many kids around the house this summer has actually saved us a little bit of money grocery wise. It been kind strange seeing the price of the grocery bill for just Scott and I compared to when the kids are here with us. It's crazy what the difference is. But school is around the corner and that bill will shoot right back up again! But it's been interesting to see the difference in our food bill. :)

Most of the week was pretty calm around here. Scott worked a ton and I worked around the house trying to get things cleaned up and ready for Brittany Belle coming to visit. I wouldn't say I got things completely done but who cares. It's never going to be perfect around here but I got Jackson's room cleaned up ( a big job ) that she could use. I was going to put her in the spare room but the tv is big in Jackson's room and that way we don't mess up the spare bedroom and make more messes for me to clean up! :)

Saturday started off normal but really ended with a bang. One of our other kids were having a very hard night and it was so hard to listen to. It was heartbreaking and hard to get things calmed down. It's really hard not being close to all of them. I would love to just get all of our kids, move them close to us and I won't have to worry as much. I was up super late and had to be up Sunday super early to get Brittany. Needless to say, Saturday and Sunday both, turned out to be mostly about the kids. I was so tired when I fell asleep only to be woke up 3 hours later at 5:30am by my exhusband. He was my wake up call since he wanted to leave so early. It was so hard pulling my butt out of bed but I did and Scott drove us to pick up Brittany.

Look at who else was tired. She was up late and only got a few hours of sleep herself. While we were driving I fell to sleep first and then woke up to find Brittany sleeping peacefully. About the picture, I didn't realize she had come out of her seatbelt to sleep. She had it on when I dozed off and even after waking up and taking the picture, I didn't notice it. But I did once I got home and we had a loooong talk about it. I about died. We were driving fast down a highway and she took it off to sleep. Anything could have happened...and next time I see this happening the phone is gone for a week. I slept in the seat belt and know it's uncomfortable but it is what it is...and Brittany better figure that out fast before she gets into trouble!

I was a zombie once we got home. I was tired and had to muddle through because I didn't want to waste a minute of time with Brittany. I started feeling a little better after I had a early evening shower and made dinner. It was so nice sitting here talking to Brittany about her friends, school and so much more. She is growing up on me faster than any of the others it seems. I really couldn't be more proud. She is a good person with a big heart, a good student, a funny girl who is showing me life from her point of view. Our kids are seriously the best part of us. Scott's children are just as much mine and vice versa. Our blended family is not the dream I had; it's so much better. Laura and Zane are amazing kids and they all make our lives better. Because of them, I am totally blessed. Today though, might not seem like the blessing while I am taking Brittany school shopping! We don't totally agree on clothes but it will be interesting to say the least. I have to actually get moving with this blog post because she wants me cleaned up and ready by 2pm. Ha! Look at her with the schedule. Maybe she is her mothers daughter. ♥

Here's a few to do's for this week:

- Get hotel for mid week vacation.
- Check PO Box
- Pay Bills
- Brush out cats
- Call and make appointments for Jackson...Pre School.
- Dump Photos from phone.
- Make lots of memories with Brittany this week.
- Do laundry in the evenings...to make sure it doesn't pile up.
- Water the plants
- Clean up closet in master bedroom....its a mess.
- Call down south and report updates
- Make time read...maybe while laying on beach in Lake Lure.
- Speaking of the beach...better try to assemble big umbrella here at home for the first time. It's cool as can be, and perfect for the beach.
- Check registration dates for Jackson.
- Clean out frig...probably some science experiments going on in there.
