It was pouring down when husby got home. We had some errands and shopping to do so we decided on grabbing a burger at Newts.
I have done many other posts about this charming burger joint in Shelby and it has some pretty good food. The kids like it a lot and I am totally happy with the cost of 4 in there opposed to other restaurants. I think the boys like their chocolate shakes more than anything!
Here are the boys.. Scott and I were a little grumpy with each other - both of us tired and just feeling the stresses of life - but we were able to shake it off as the night progressed..

Dinner was really good..
Mine was a cheeseburger with chili cheese fries
Zane had a
cheese burger with fries..
As did Jackson
And husby had a patty melt on rye!
We ate and then took off to Walmart to do some shopping. It wasn't easy with the boys.. but when I shop with the kids I make them agree on 1 kind of poptarts or 1 kind of chips.. We did this the entire way through the store.. and it worked out great. If they can't agree.. I don't get it. I know it seems harsh but the only way to make sure the kids are all happy with * some * of the food purchases is to make them pick out something they both will like.
However, husby took them down the frozen isle to get ice cream so I could get some produce.. When I came back one of the kids were upset because they didn't like the ice cream that was picked out.. See what happens when the system isn't in place? So back it went until they both could agree on 1 ice cream.. little did I realize that husby wanted to pick too and he wanted a different kind. I would have bought Scott his own but the lesson was really for the boys. It works great if you have to take the kids to the store.. which I rarely like to do. Its just a much bigger job with the kids there.
Ohh.. I did get the stuff to make the rock candy so stay tuned for all those posts. It takes about 7 days to make it so I will be posting daily pictures!
We came home and Scott enjoyed a hot shower while I put away groceries. I also had to clean out the frig to make room.. Totally sucked!! But it really needed done anyway. I did skip doing the dishes so I have a sink full waiting on me till tomorrow which also sucks!
I have a couple of errands to run tomorrow.. but I should be home most of the day. I am happy tomorrow is a long day for Scott because it will give me more time to get things done. I do hate it for Scott because his day is non stop. He was super tired when he got home and landed in the bed pretty fast. We both have been so tired lately. I don't know why either. I don't think either of us is sleeping that good and for me.. I am just totally drained 10 minutes after I wake up. I would do anything to have the energy of just one of the boys so I could catch up on things around here.
Soon I am heading off to bed to get some sleep too. The coffee is made and all I have to do is pick up the living room before I go upstairs.. let the dog out for a minute and I am done. Yea! I think we are going to have more rain tomorrow too. Should make running errands fun - not - .
