Week in Review with 2 VLOGS w/ To Do's & Blessings April 6-13, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. Monday's vlog will cover Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the previous week and Thursdays vlog will be for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Actually I might be adding more vlogs in during the week...depending on how much I vlog. This time there is 2 ditl vlogs! :)

So the beginning of the week was a bit more hectic. I did a blog post where I shared this vlog already but I always like to share all the vlogs in the week in review blog post together. Monday was a bit harder than the rest of the days and then I just stayed busy. Here is the vlog from the first part of the week:

As we moved on into Friday, I did a really good job of keeping myself busy. It's hard with  of all the hours Scott has to work but it does give me plenty of time to get things done. Here's how things have gone around here the past few days. More below! 

Friday I started out at the computer and stayed there for a while. I never seem to be able to stay caught up for long. Right now...I have a inbox full of emails I need to respond to. But I do take time to do computer work almost daily so it was a easy way to start the day. Then as afternoon set in, it was time to get Romeo to the Vet. We want him to live forever and he was the only one left for their yearly shots and such. Thankfully he got a great bill of health but does need his teeth cleaned in a few months. He's such a love and did great in the office even out of his cage. Our new Vet is not all fancy. She works alone with a little staff but she spends so much time with us and doesn't rush out or give up easily. I believe it is because of her that Super Cooper is seizure free.

We came home and relaxed until Scott got home. Then it was back out to the Asian buffet with 2 preteen boys! It was an experience. Jackson was super sleepy...which means he was a grump and dinner wasn't exactly as I had hoped but we got them fed and both Jackson and Hunter fell asleep pretty quick once we got home. 

Saturday it was another slow to start day but eventually I got up and did some cleaning and then a little shopping. :) It seems like every spring we are doing a lot of shopping. I got some more simple short and shirt combos that will be great for everyday and we all got new Nikes. I am not so sure of the hot pink ones without shocks but I am giving them a try. They are pretty comfortable but I am still not so sure. I'm sure they will be fine though. 

Once I got back home it was back to cleaning up things, doing laundry and waiting on Scott to get home. Like I said, it's hard because I miss him. He actually said he wanted to putt and chip to warm up a little before his big game on Sunday. Well... that sure was not happening with him being gone all day on Sunday. It's hard for him to even balance life, work, family, fun. I kinda snapped at him and instead of spending his evening on the golf course, he took us out to the Melting Pot for dinner instead! We were planning on eating there for our anniversary dinner but plans got changed up and we ended taking Jackson with us and just making it a family affair! ♥

The food was amazing. It is a bit of work to cook your own dinner but it's so much fun. I wish we had all the kids with us for that dinner because even though we all were kinda tired and grumpy...we had a great time! We filled up on bread and cheese... salads... lobster and steak and then finished it up with a yen and yang chocolate pot that was simply amazing. It wasn't  cheap but the food, experience, and family time was worth every penny! It had been a while since I had been and Jackson had never been before. It's great for young adults! We were all so stuffed when we walked waddled out there that I ended up driving so Scott and Jackson could nap on the way home! As soon as they walked in the house it was straight into the beds they went. The house was silent and it was long before I was in dreamland too! 

Sunday Scott was up kinda early and got on the greens pretty early. I saw him off and then enjoyed the morning around the house. The weather is really warming up ( even though we are suppose to have a lot of rain this week ) and we have really been enjoying it. I took a little time to redo the patio area with some simple changes. I got a new umbrella, cushions and such pretty butterfly outside pillows. I got those items at Lowes and I even got some flowers to add a little more color out there. 

I have enjoyed having my morning coffee out there watching and listening to the birds sing and watch the sunrise. For some reason I have been getting up earlier. I was up kinda late last night so I am moving a little slower today but hey..it's Monday! I have cleaning to do, dinner to get in the crockpot, and a pair of shorts to exchange. Plus Scott should be home an hour or so early so I have got to just get moving! And here's even more I want to accomplish this week ↓

This weeks to do’s 

• Get prescriptions from Walgreens. 
• Get the new drying rack put together. That should be fun. 
• Try to walk once a day for 30 minutes. 
• Paint nails...which I don't enjoy that much. 
• Look for new living room furniture. Yep.. it's about time. 
• Order Scott's birthday present. 
• Figure out what excursions we are doing while on the Cruise. We have to pick them out and get them paid for because they book up. 
• Clean up the DVRS. 
• Put plants out in the rain one day this week to water and rinse them off. 
• Clean out and organize under kitchen sink. 
• Work in planner....things got changed around. 
• Dump photos from phone for storage. 
• Add new menu to chalkboard wall. 
• Check on movie times for Tuesday's Day Date. 
• Clean out car before Scott takes it and brings the Mini Cooper.
• Make time for a board game with Jackson. 
• Give the jet bathtub cleaned really well...all around the jets and such. It needs it. 
• Order a vote for Hilary Teeshirt. Yep..I sure am. 
• Order trash service. I hate taking it to the dump all the time. So we are paying for it
• Make more time to read. 
• Package up giveaway prizes and mail out this week. 
• Toss all pillows in the dryer a little at a time to freshen up. 
• Wake up!! I am so sleepy today! 
• Fertilize new plants on a day with no rain. 
• Put away laundry....story of my life. * Sigh

Little Blessings

Being I haven't been able to get the Thankful Thursday blog posts up in a while, I thought I would include some of those little blessings with you in these week in review blog post. ♥


♥ My spoils me. He really does. I am not always deserving of it but it's a blessing to have such a giving husband.

♥ Seeing Jackson play with the neighborhood kids. He is so shy that it has taken over 2 years to get him comfortable all while I am ready to move.. But I am here still because its so nice that he is actually going outside and playing with his friends instead of being in his room on the xbox.

♥ Romeos clean bill of health. I want that cat to be around as long as possible. He is so loved. I thought for sure she was going to tell me that he was overweight. But NOPE! She said he is picture of great health. Loved that!

♥ The food at the Melting Pot was delicious but nothing beats that chocolate pot at the end. I was seriously in some kind of high by time I was done. It was amazing and I savored every bite!

♥ The birds are back to singing to me.I just love it.

♥ Catching up with all the women in my life these past few days has been so amazing. I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends who inspire me and who always lift me up. Each of them are complete blessings.

♥ Listening to my mom giggle and laugh about the cruise we are all going on. She is so happy and it's infectious. :)

Exhausted, Tired, Sleepy & Grupmpy

What a looooong day. We left the house at 11am and it just feels like things are back to normal! Well.. I am in bed that is...which feels very good to me...and I am sure it feels good to husby too.

So we went and met this very nice elderly couple. There secretary....and yes, they have a lot of help..told us about the wife have Alzheimer's..  and the husband wasn't in that good of shape after he had a nasty fall down the steps. Well, they were so sweet and nice. They did buy a kitten.. and we ended up spending over 2 hours with them..we really enjoyed being there. I asked to go to the bathroom and his wife walked me around the house 3 times before she remembered where it was. It was kinda strange because I knew we were passing a bathroom but I didn't want to be rude and say something. Then on the 4th go around.. she held out her hand and said..." Here it is! " I acted like I hadn't seen it on the other 3 passes. She had on a ton of jewelry  She had long pretty grey hair..a long black skirt and shirt on.. 2 broaches on her shirt.. 2 big beautiful gold and diamond necklaces...and gold and bracelets jingling around on her wrist. She was really pretty but it made me sad to know that her memory is slipping. However, her husband was sharp as a tact. We had a nice afternoon with them. The kitten really is for the wife. He thinks if she has something to care for and love on.. maybe it will help her in some way. They have no children or grand children and a big old grand house. I hope the baby brings her a lot of love and happiness. 

Weekend in Review { ♥ Husby Birthday Edition ♥ }

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! OThe start of the day was pretty easy going. It has rained all weekend long. I'm serious.. since Friday its just been pouring down. And guess what!? Its suppose to rain tomorrow too! Thank goodness Jackson doesn't have school tomorrow ( teacher planning day ) otherwise I would have to get out and drive in the storms.. and I almost went off the road the other day due to hydroplaning.. So I am happy to be sleeping in tomorrow! And that's good being its really late and I am working on a weekend blog post! (:

Our weekend started on Friday because it was husbys birthday! He turned 44 years old! (: He took the day off and was home with us all day! 

Weekend in Review [ Pic Heavy ]

Helloooo! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The weather broke around here and it finally warmed up. 

Friday was really the start of my weekend! It began with husby getting home... we ran some errands in the evening. He was having a tough time at the redbox trying to figure out which movies he wanted!

It was a bit cool Friday due to the rain so I just stayed in the car and let him figure it out! And he picked a couple of good movies!

Weekend in Review:

It was a busy weekend for us.. We had family coming in which meant.. lots to do before hand. I hate having the house messy to begin with but I wanted to really get it cleaned it up before they got here.. And that's exactly what I did.

What a day. It was freezing cold here.. I hated getting up early to take Jackson to school.. I came right back home and went to bed. Husby came home and hung around the house with me until I was ready to go. Which didn't happen until about 4:30. It cold from the moment I got up. I had the fireplace going.. and I just never warmed up. And its hard to get cleaned up in a cold house. I finally did and Scott and I were off to do a little shopping. We stopped at a really glass store and I got a pretty sunflowery piece of blown glass. I will get pictures soon!! Its a really neat piece of artwork.

Late Rambles..

Well husby and I had a great time out tonight. It was nice..just being the two of us. We took Austin home on the way and didn't have as much time as I wanted for dinner.. so we stopped in at..

To BED..

Hello friends! How was your weekend? Ours around here.. was pretty good! Saturday morning I totally loved waking up to no alarm clock. I slept wayyy too late but it was really worth it! 

Weekend in Review ( Extreme Pic Heavy )

Hello everyone.. I hope you had a beautiful weekend. I hope each one of you hugged your children and loved ones a little tighter too. I am still in shock at all the children who recently left our world but I am going to continue blogging and trying to move forward but it sure has been on my mind.

Hello friends! I am tired so I can't be blogging for long. I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday! Its been a rainy night for us. We took off to go to the fair and on the way it started raining. I hated the idea of paying to get in.. then paying again to see the monster truck demolition and it start pouring down.. Jackson was already kinda tired so we all decided that we would go get some food and then come home and relax. 

So we went to.. 

I hadn't been here before. Husby has had lunch from this place but we have never ate dinner here.

Jackson was happy.. 

Scott was tired.. 

and I was hungry! 

It was a dark little place.. 

I did like being able to see into the kitchen.. 

Jackson colored while we waited.. 

We had some bruschetta for an appetizer. 

which was pretty good.

And Jackson was happy to get his cheese pizza.. 

Scott and I decided to share a steak because she said they were really big.. 

and this is just 1/2 of it.. 

To be honest.. I didn't care for it.. They put some heavy spices on it and it burned my mouth.. The potatoes sucked.. and our waitress wasn't too friendly. I won't be going back. Nope. Thankfully it wasn't a total waste of money because Jackson did like his pizza.. I did eat as much of the steak as I could..and I am happy that we split it and not paid for 2 of them. My husband didn't eat it at all. I am pretty sure he wanted to send it back but I didn't let him. I don't to do that. So he snacked on some potatoes and before we got out of there pretty fast. Jackson kept saying he just wanted to go home.. put on comfy clothes and get in bed. And that's exactly what he did when we got back. 

Scott and I sat around watched some tv and he went to bed. He worked a ton this week for the super sale. I  hope he sleeps in tomorrow and feels better. I had a pretty good evening. I took all the makeup out of my bathroom and put it in good sized closed desk that worked better than I thought it would. I have a ton of makeup.. and storage has become a problem.. plus my bathroom is painted in this yellow gold color and I think sucks for make up. The desk is in the bedroom by a window so I think it will work better. I will take some pictures sometime soon. 

Anyway, I don't think we have any plans except taking the day as it comes!

Dreamy..

I don't know why but I have been so sleepy this entire week. I have been in a slump or something because I have have just been so dopey. Maybe its been the weather.. and getting up early.. but this week is ending tonight and its pouring down rain. I couldn't think of a better send off to the blah week than rain. Its refreshing and calming.. perfect for this Friday Night. 

It got.. 

dark around 4 pm.. but Jackson and I had a little shopping to do.

We got home before it really started to pour but 

It really came down hard for a while.. 

Scott came home and we decided that it would be much easier to go grab a quick dinner instead of going to the market and cooking. 

It stopped raining long enough for us 

to get there... The courthouse looks so great at night.. 

Anyway..we went to our beloved...

This is one of our favorite places to grab a quick dinner in town. Love Newts!

Husby and I are getting along great!

I doubt you can because I ordered the banana hot fudge and it was more like a chocolate shake with big slices of the banana in the bottom. I was actually kinda disappointed but whatever.. it was still good!

We were thinking of doing a little shopping but both Scott and I were really exhausted. Neither of us know why but I think it has to do with our bodies trying to get over the colds we had, the weather, and also because its getting darker a lot sooner. 

Let me show you these really cute fall decorations I found today!! I was at the Dollar Store sorting through coupons, getting household stuff but I couldn't pass up these cute little things! 

I thought these cute little fall ornaments  if you will.. was really sweet and they were only $1 a piece! 

I also go this cute little pumpkin that I thought would look good sittings somewhere around the kitchen. I think this was $3

Last but least I got these freaking adorable Owl Towels!!

I loooooooooooove these and think they were a steal for $1 each. I will use these all year long and since they were only $1 each.. I am going back tomorrow and buying more. Yep.. I really love them! And I have a couple Christmas gifts that these might come in handy for. And they are a steal! 

So I don't know if you noticed the links are changed up a bit at the top. I am seriously tired of all the time spent on the weekends doing the weekly drugstore steals and deals. I am done with those long posts..being they are soooooo long.. they really mess up the blog and my feed all the time. Sooo.. I will put some links up over the weekend of a few sites that have great coupon match ups. I am sorry but I just don't have the time to do those anymore. I still love couponing and I will be posting a lot of great coupon deals but those massive posts are just too much!

Tomorrow I have a lot to do. We have decided to put Brandon in the Study. There is a lot of stuff in there so I need to start moving it out. We need to make him a bedroom of his own. Plus the house is pretty messy. I was so non motivated this week. But it has to change tomorrow because there is so much stuff waiting on me to get finished. So lots of cleaning tomorrow.
