Good Morning and Happy Thursday to you all! I have been up since about 8am - thanks Scott - but its already a better day than yesterday! I got a ton of calls done already and I already have the lists of Zanes school supplies made out so I can get them today. We are having to as much of his stuff now because he starts school almost 3 weeks sooner than Jackson or Brittany. I should buy all 3 kids at the same time but I don't have the lists yet for the other kids so thats not going to work. I do have to say.. I don't really like buying stuff and the teacher putting it all up and using it when needed for all the kids. Maybe that's not too kind of me but what happened to kids having all their new supplies their name on it all for each child. It makes me want to buy cheaper stuff because its going to be handed out to all the kids anyway. I think if you are unable to afford the supplies then there should be some kind of pay back system or donated items but to take each of the kids stuff and put it up for all the kids doesn't sit that well with me. I dealt with it many years ago when Brittany and Jackson were in daycare but I requested to not be a part of that.. so we lucked out but I don't think that will be the case this year. Its frustrating to me!!
I am pretty sure that I will just go to the Dollar Store today and load up. There are 16 things on the list to get.. We have to get him a pair of shoes this weekend and we are done with one of the kids. Thankfully mom helped out with Brittany's school clothes.. and we will just have to do shoes and supplies for her too. Zane wears uniforms and it sure makes it easier to shop! Jackson on the other hand is going to cost a lot more.. because we are doing it all for him.. but that's ok.. We still have over a month to get him ready. Its a lot of work to get things ready for 3 kids to head back to school!

Right now I am enjoying a piping cup of hot coffee..
and it tastes really good but still not strong enough to make me feel wide eyed and awake! I feel like I should be asleep still and seriously thinking about trying to lay back down. Jackson got up at 750 and I put him right back in bed and told him he couldn't get up till 930 so I am sure here in the next 4 minutes, he will be bouncing down the stairs! He wakes up way to early. It will be fine when school starts but in the summer.. thats wayyyy to early! I checked on him about 30 minutes ago and he seemed to be dozing back off. Fingers crossed his butt sleeps in a little while to keep him from being so grumpy today.
Today is family swim night at the pool but I think we will probably miss out on it due to the weather. Its suppose to start raining AGAIN around 1pm. It sure has screwed with the swimming plans for the past week. No fun. But both boys play in the rain so that will just have to do!
I do think we will start our rock candy today. It should be pretty easy to make and we will just have to wait and wait for those crystals to grow! The boys are excited about making it and I am hoping we can make a few extra so Zane can take some to all his brothers and sisters. I figure it will be a sweet treat for them!
We are also going to make the ice cream in baggies next week too! I haven't done that in a couple of years and I figured it would also be fun for the kids to make. I will be sure to post the instructions in case you want to try it too!
Anyway, its either doze off or get up.. and since Jackson seems to be sleeping.. I think I might close my eyes for an hour or so!
