Late night hello to you all! I sure hope you had a great day. It was a rather EASY day again around here and I can blame husby for it being that way. He wasn't going to go into work at all today but ended up going in for the morning.. then he came home for a while.. which was nice because we spent over an hour outside just talking.. and talking.. and talking.. He is truly my best friend. We talk about EVERYTHING. Which is super nice because it doesn't do any good to have a relationship that you can't communicate in.
Husby wasn't only communicating with me..
He was wheeling and dealing as he always does. Its been a stressful few days at work.. and even though he was taking a break.. he was still working.
When we are outside on the deck.. all the animals have to be right out there too.
Gabby took her seat as the Queen normally does!
She is such a shit! Spoiled rotten and the boss of this house!
And..
Willow is the Sweetheart
and she comes outside with us too. No way do I leave them out when I am not there and they don't leave the deck but they really love being out there. Willow has pretty serious separation anxiety so she is always with us. We have a pretty big house and when she can't find us, she goes NUTS.. I hate to think about what she goes through when we are both gone. But she is such a sweetheart..she is more loving than ANY cat I have owned. Both are beauties!! Thank goodness husby is a cat man otherwise we would have problems!
Husby is also a
Super Cooper lover! And of course he was outside with us. However play time wasn't that long for him because the yard guys came and got the lawn all mowed and looking pretty!
I make an amazing meat loaf but decided to try something new... When Scott realized it.. he was not very happy..he kept saying.. " Why do we have to try another meatloaf?? Yours is amazing!?? Well it turns out he was right.. I didn't really like it and my meatloaf is so much better. I still love the Pioneer Woman, just not her meatloaf. I did take pictures along the way and will post the recipe tomorrow in case you want to try it. Just because we were not in love it doesn't mean it wasn't good.
Its just that my brown sugar meatloaf is
amazing!! I thought I had the recipe posted but just a few pictures instead.. so next time I make it I will be sure to share the recipe with you all! Also in my house, no matter what kind of meatloaf we are having, husby always wants brown gravy too.. and it was no different tonight either.
Our sauce is pretty much the same though.. I do use more brown sugar than she does but I make double the sauce and add it to the bottom of the pan before the meat goes in and also on the top..
I think the meatloaf gets a bad rap a lot of times.. Its economical and perfect for a small or large family and you can really make it taste good. And the left overs make for a really good meatloaf sandwich!

After dinner it was time for
I started out during the beginning of the show working on a review for you guys and then I ended up getting sleepy.. laying back on the couch and crashing out. I think I only slept for about 45 minutes and woke up to Jessica, Joshua, and Holly singing. Loved that.. then thanks to my handy dandy DVR I was able to catch the performances I missed. I will do a post tomorrow with the ones I liked best!
I wasn't the only one who fell asleep..
Willow was passed out too...when I woke up she was still out!
I know you guys probably get tired of all the kitty pictures but we are a house that loves and adores cats.. so always lots of pictures! =)
Tomorrow I am happy that husby has a long day because my house needs some love. The past few days, I have been so tired. To make things harder, I don't really clean a lot when Scott is home. I wonder how many of you are the same way. I guess I would just rather spend time with him when he is home rather than clean. So tomorrow is cleaning day! I am sure I will do a lot of posting tomorrow too!
Well its 2am and I am going to finish my cup of hot tea and get some sleep!
