Dark.. Gloomy.. December Day

What a day around here. I can't believe how gloomy and nasty it is outside. Its as depressing at it gets. I first went to the dealership to see husby and ended up staying there for close to an hour. Wasn't planning on hanging out there that long, but I did anyway. Actually they are staying pretty busy there today so I guess this weather isn't keeping everyone in. I think most people think you can get a better deal on cars at the end of the year. For the most part, I don't think that's true but sometimes they can. I think all the new rebates and stuff will come out at the first of the year but it doesn't matter.. they are buying cars and that's what it takes to keep my famly going. Besides the cats, I don't have income flowing in so its up to Scott to sell.. sell.. sell!! Very thankful for that. I think I know why I had to wait on him longer than what I would have wanted.. I think I had to see the bad in relationships to be able not only to SEE the good but to APPRECIATE it too. I wouldn't be able keep this relationship together if I was in my early 20's. The experience from that first marriage was sure one big lesson for me. I am just happy God heard my prayers and I am living a life many dream of. I don't know how it happened for me. I really don't. But I am very thankful for it.

Anyway.. sorry for the husby rant but I am always amazed that I found a husband who I adore who adores me right back.. 8 YEARS NOW.. and none of my feelings have changed.

I managed to get into the store and do my shopping.. it was packed too. I forgot a lot of people would be shopping for New Years. I was really shopping for that holiday.. I was shopping for weekly groceries. I did pick up a little extra in case we have friends over tomorrow. I did ask a couple if they wanted to come.. I think its a yes but I won't know for sure till tomorrow.

For about a half second..

the sun came out for me to get the stuff in the car.. then about 1 second later it was gone and this is what started..

This was how it basically was for my 15 minute drive home. It wasn't a really hard rain either.. Just cold. I decided before I ever left that I would keep the fireplace on while I was gone just so I would come home to a warm cozy house.

and let me tell you.. it was the right decision. After the weather today I don't think husby is going to mind me having the house warm. He should be getting off work about now but they still have 2 customers. So hes going to be a little while.

However I think I am going to go on and start dinner in just a few minutes.. I know husby is hungry.. he called to tell me so. I already got everything from the store put up and had a quick bite.. but break time is about over for me!

Hope you guys are all staying warm. I don't know about you.. but this kind of weather makes me want to stay home.. in comfy clothes and just enjoy my little world here! No need to go out and get cold. I hope tomorrow I can stay home all day. I love being home but I do wish it was warmer. I keep trying to get Scott to move to South Florida and hopefully in the next few years I can!
