Well I sure didn't get up early today.. I was up till after 4 am making the crinkle cookies, so I guess I didn't sleep that long after all! It was so cold in this house last night. I even slept in socks.. and I never sleep in socks!
When I came downstairs..
Look at what husby was doing..
laundry!! GOTTA LOVE THAT MAN!! That just helps me out today! I pretty much cleaned the kitchen last night, but when I woke up and went into the kitchen, I could still see a lot of powdered sugar around.. so really got to clean that up. As I sit here with my coffee and toast, I am watching my husband fold the towels so neat and tidy!
In an hour or so until I am cleaned up to bake. Today I am making more of the raspberry shortbread's and brownies.
But as you can tell, I am in no hurry today! I don't think we are going anywhere. I thought about running out to the store to get chocolate chips. But I still have other things to make that I have everything here for.. so thinking I am staying home. But just now.. husby is saying he wants stuff from the store.. so he might have just screwed with my plans...We'll see!

I am having 8 people here total on Christmas eve, but the night before and the day after I will have 4 extra here so I want lots of tasty treats for them..

some warm peppered peanuts. I know that " peppered " anything is normally hot.. and just too much.. but while we were in Florida visiting Scott's dad, his step mom had some peppered cashews and boy they were good! Really good!
I am also serving up a bowl of

and lets not forget the punch bowl full of
eggnog!!
Not to mention all the cookies and big dinner!
Got less than a week at this point to get everything done, to get the house cleaned up and to get the guest bedrooms finished! Like I said.. lots and lots to do!

All this baking has been a lot of fun. I told you guys, I am feeling festive this year! I was kinda sad I wasn't with my mom on Thanksgiving... so super happy that Laci and her are both coming! And our friends who are just like family are coming too! The only thing I am kinda worried about it our table only seats 6.. we have 8.. I can bring the other table into the same area but that would mean two were by themselves.. and I don't want that. Scott says we can all squeeze into the dining room table so that's what I just do.. but still trying to figure something out with that. I have been a little tired..but I just keep moving along!
Ohh. I was issues with the Jaggers family calender working again. It would update it but it would not update on here.. but PROBLEM FIXED!! So check it out!!
