Abundant Chef Ceramic Knifes Review, Demo, and Giveaway!

Tuesday, May 26, 2015

Hello friends! Happy Tuesday to you all! I am back to go over the Abundant Chef Ceramic Knives. I was asked to test these out and share my thoughts with you guys! Everything is in the video and below you will find more pictures and information to get entered into the giveaway! Hope you enjoy.

When I was contacted from Abundant Chef, I was able to pick out what I wanted to try. I went for the 9 piece Ceramic Knife Set to test out. It looked like the perfect set to try. It didn't take long before they were here. I thought the packing looked a little cheap for such nice knifes but it's nothing that really matters. Inside the package was 4 fruit and vegetable knifes and one ceramic peeler.

It came with a 6" Ceramic Chef's Knife. This knife is designed to perform well at many differing kitchen tasks, rather than excelling at any one in particular. It can be used for mincing, slicing, and chopping vegetables, slicing boneless pieces of meat. Unlike stainless steel knifes, these are not heavy. They feel light on the wrist and super easy to use.

It also came with a 5" Utility knife. This knife is smaller than a chef's knife but larger than a paring knife. It is a very versatile knife excels at everyday tasks, from cutting sandwiches to slicing meat. This indispensable knife is handy for smaller precision tasks like peeling, trimming and slicing small fruits and vegetables.

Here is the 4' utility knife in the set. This paring knife is great for peeling fruits and vegetables; slicing a single garlic clove or shallot; controlled, detailed cutting, such as cutting shapes or vents into dough; and scoring designs and patterns on surfaces of food.

The last knife in the set is this 3" fruit knife. Thisfruit knife is used to cut and peel fresh fruit at the table in formal and informal dining. Such as peeling an apple for lunch. This little knife is perfect for smaller jobs in the kitchen.

They also included a ceramic vegetable peeler in the set. I had never used one of these before until I got this set in. It is so sharp and efficient in peeling carrots and potatoes...and I even used it for some Parmesan cheese too.

You can see the size difference between the 6" chefs knife on bottom and the 5" utility knife above and...

Here's the difference between the 4" pairing knife and the 3" fruit knife.

What I love about these knifes is they will not rust or turn on you when cutting fruits with a lot of acid. These held up well with daily use in our kitchen for the last couple of weeks. I have tested them out in every way and I am very impressed with how sharp they are and how easy they make the work in the kitchen. A dull knife will just make everything you do just feel so much harder than it should. These knifes are not to be used on any kind of meat with bones. They are ceramic and will break if you are try that. Also if you were to drop one on a hard floor, there is a good chance you could shatter it. So be careful!

All the knifes in this set cut like a dream. No joke. They are super super sharp and have held their edge well. But if you are not use to using really sharp knifes, watch out otherwise you will probably cut yourself. I would rather have a very sharp knife that I have to keep my fingers away from rather than a old dull knife that makes you do a lot of work to cut through something. You are not suppose to put these in the dishwasher because it could damage them. They are to be washed in hot soapy water by hand and you can use bleach and water also.

These knifes have quickly became my go-to set. I use them pretty much daily and for the price I think they are amazing. I might just end up getting a few for Christmas gifts for my family and friends. Since you guys are my " online family" I have a gift for you too! Abundant Chef is sponoring a giveaway where one of YOU will win a box of knifes just like the ones I showed you in the video above! Question & Answer - YOUR Kitchen Questions Answered! VIDEO

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

Hello friends! I am back with a question and answer video answering YOUR KITCHEN QUESTIONS that I asked you to send in. Thank you so much for all your questions. I answered as many as I could. Everything is in the video and more pictures and links on where to find some of the products are listed below.

More Info.

I got a lot of questions about Cast Iron Skillets. Many people wanted to know where to find cheap cast iron skillets. The ones I have were passed down to me so its been a long time since I have bought any but you can find Cast Iron Skillets reasonably priced. I normally see them for around $30 which is not too bad for a pan you should have for a very very long time if you take care of it. I also got asked about what kind of pots and such I would recommend for someone starting out or even starting over. First I really think investing in the best pans you can is very important. I really love the Rachel Ray 10 piece set. The entire set is under $150 and if that doesn't work for you.. I would suggest buying one item at a time until you build the collection you want. Making the investment in good pans will pay off every time. They will cook more evenly, not warp, and hold up much longer than cheap pots and pans that you will have to replace often. In terms of stocking up a new house, I would suggest to any young person to head into their local Dollar Store where everything is in fact just $1 and having a look at all the different utensils they have. You find a lot of decent items for a fraction of the cost when shopping there. I still get items from there all the time because I love the price.

Review & Video: Mrs Meyer's Clean Day Geranium Liquid Dish Soap

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

Happy Tuesday Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon. Today I would like to take a few minutes of your time to talk to you about this new find! This is NOT a sponsored post. I paid for the product myself and this review is my own thoughts! If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know how much I love Method Dish Soap. I even did a review a while back on the Method Sea Minerals Dish Soap  professing my love for it. Well, I have found another one that I am totally loving! Check out the video below....and more pictures and info below too!

Method - Sea Minerals - Dish Soap Review

Saturday, January 19, 2013

Recently, I was in my store getting items we needed when I spotted this

Method Dish Soap in a cool looking pump ..It's a bit pricey when compared, ounces to price, to other brand names but the pump alone is nice. But that's not all.

I am not going to drag this on.. This soap is amazing. The pump is great, and it dispenses just enough soap for a sponge.

For me I wash dishes a different way than my grandmother , mother in law and mom.. I run just enough water to wet a single dish, add a single drop of soap to my wet sponge and scrub the dish using just the water that clings to the dish and sponge. Then I run just enough water to rinse the dish. I add another drop to the sponge whenever the sudsing power starts running out. This soap works great this way... and I've think it's a better method of washing dishes ( opposed to dunking dishes in a full sink of water. ) since you're not putting dishes into water that's already greasy and dirty. And I'm using less water and less soap than before. You just have to be careful not to leave the water running or you'll waste a lot...which I do often. But this soap works great.

International Delight Iced Coffee Mocha Review!!

Sunday, March 4, 2012
Yesterday Laura and I spotted this while we were shopping..

and of course we had to try it..

International Delight Iced Coffee - Mocha -

$3.99, Ingles - 1/2 gallon-

They come in Original, Mocha, and Vanilla .

When I first tried this, I was shocked at how closely it tasted like a Starbucks Iced Coffee. I always have to add a little sugar to any of my coffee drinks. But this drink was amazing! I have already had 2 glasses. I don't even need to put it over ice. I like it both ways.

If you love ice coffee but not the outrageous price.. try this!!

I bought this on impulse so I didn't have a coupon but I will be hunting for them now.

Have you tried this yet?

I love to hear from you mrskishajaggers@gmail.com . I would love to hear how the other flavors are. I can only imagine that Mocha is the best!

Long Night

3477_e57c_large

Its 230 am here and I am in bed.. just not sleeping! Gosh.. this day has seemed to last forever yet at the same time it feels like it has gone by fast. Is that weird?  We got such a late start today and then I stayed out FOREVER shopping and running errands.. then back home and the rest of the night has been a hodge podge of things going on.

Husby had a terrible headache and it sure made him moody and a little mean. He was pretty much flipping out because of how bad it was hurting. He's not use to a migraine as I am. I'm not use to it but I sure know what it feels like and now I am better at dealing with them. Once it gets to a certain point, I just go to the ER. I offered to take him but he wouldn't go. Crushed up a pain pill, put it in a cup of hot water and drank it. I don't ever do that.. and he said it was awful. A little while later, he was eating ice cream so I guess it helped. Then I gave him a little more medicine to help while he sleeps. He has a long day tomorrow. He will work from 8am to 8 pm - 12 hour day and will have an hour of drive time. 30 minutes each way..so I hope he feels better tomorrow. I put up his shit for a while since he wasn't feeling good but eventually I had enough... and thankfully as the meds worked his attitude changed.

Our friend got back from his trip safely. I thought he looked exhausted. It was a 7 hour ride for him just one way. When I looked at him I thought he was drunk. I was ready to kill him for drinking and driving but after a couple seconds with him I quickly saw he was just tired... and a bit hung over I think! He works the same hours tomorrow so I guess he needs to be sleeping really good too!

For me tomorrow is a day of cleaning the house. I didn't get much done tonight. I only cooked a

big pot of pasta and nothing else. Super simple but super good. And we have p-l-e-n-t-y- of left overs for another night this week. Isn't pasta always better the next day?? I sure think so.. give those flavors a chance to mix together and its just so much better!

One of the things I picked up at the store today was

A package of Salon Perfect brow stencils and brow powder. Yes, I know that I just got a new ELF eyebrow kit [ you can see the video haul HERE ] but I like this shade and I wanted some new stencils. I know I don't talk much about these but I will do a more in depth post in the coming days. I actually found a few other brow products today and will share them later with you. I really like stencils because it gets 2 identical brows and that's not always an easy thing to do. I use them at least 1/2 the time. I just love the convenience of them.. and they always make your brows look amazing! I think this kit was just about $5.00 and it works great. I have had the same one for over a couple years now. So I thought it would be a great time to get another set! I pretty much only use two of the stencils from the kit but sometimes its fun to try the others! Do any of you guys use brow stencils? I would love to know if you do.. just shoot me an email at kishajaggers@aol.com and let me know! If not, I encourage you to get some and try them out. You will be amazed at how well they make your brows look.. and I find its easy outline them and tweeze where needed. It gives you a great guide to do keeping your brows nicely groomed. I tend to use a little wax from the ELF brow kit.. its colored..with the stencil and then I just fill in with powder without the stencil. I love the way they work!!

I also have a ton of reviews coming up. I try to give myself a couple weeks with a product but sometimes it only takes one or two times with something to know exactly how you feel about it. Stay tuned for lots of beauty post coming up!

Now from beauty to kittys!

Check out my cat grass!!!!!!!!!

I always feel so accomplished when I see something growing. I love it..

The cats are already trying to eat it but I want it to grow a little more before giving it to them. Its high on a counter so hopefully they will leave it alone. It was on the kitchen table for sunlight and I had to keep shooing them down because they wanted it!! This sure got me thinking of spring and gardening. We have had a garden many many times but none here in the Carolina's. The dirt is red here and I just don't think the yard is in any kind of shape to garden in. It needs a lot of work as it is. So I am thinking about a container type garden on the back deck. I think it will work just fine. I know I will be limited and it will cost more for the containers and potting medium. I bet if I find the right containers I could even grow carrots and potatoes. Just starting to think about it but pretty sure its happening. I need fresh herbs and they will for sure do just fine growing out on the back porch!

Well I need to get to bed. I am staying home for the most part but I do have to run to the post office. Brittany Belle wanted a few things so I went shopping for her today and need to get it to the post office asap. But besides that one errand and maybe a quick run to the dollar store, I will be home tomorrow cleaning this house up. Lots to do so time for sleep!

Have a great Monday

PUT TO THE TEST..

Monday, November 29, 2010
FOR THE PAST MONTH OR SO THERE HAVE BEEN ALL KINDS OF COMMERICALS ON TV FOR THIS DISHWASHER SOAP. ITS THE FINISH QUANTUM. I AM NORMALLY A CASCADE BUYER BUT WITH THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE DECIDED TO TRY THESE. I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS BUT A LOT OF TIMES THE DISHES IN THE DISHWASHER DONT COME CLEAN. I REALLY BOUGHT THESE WITH THE IDEA THAT WE WOULD BE RETURNING THESE IF THEY DIDNT CLEAN AS WELL AS THEY WERE SAID TO.

SO HERE IS MY REVIEW AND THOUGHTS ON THIS PRODUCT.

HERE THEY ARE. I THINK THEY WERE ONLY A COUPLE DOLLARS MORE THAN CASCADE. 25 CAME IN THIS PACK AND BOX SAYS JUST SCRAPE THE PLATES..NO NEED TO RINSE THEM..

SO THATS WHAT I DID..AS YOU CAN SEE THE DISHWASHER WAS STACKED FULL..

HERE IS THE TOP...

AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE AREA THAT YOU PUT THE SOAP IN IS DRY AND THEN JUST PUT IN ONE LITTLE TABLET..

AND I AM SORRY BUT THE AFTER PICTURE GOT DELETED OFF MY CAMERA BY MISTAKE BUT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT...

IT WORKED REALLY REALLY WELL. I WAS SO SURPRISED..I THOUGHT THIS WAS JUST A BUNCH OF CRAP..BUT THIS SURPRISED ME....ALL THE DISHES WERE COMPLETELY CLEAN. NOTHING ON THEM AT ALL...

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE THE SAME TROUBLE WITH DISHES NOT COMING CLEAN...

YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY THIS!!
