Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday. Most of you guys know how much I love my Inkwell Press Planner. Most years I switch back and forth with planners but for the entire year of 2015 I used just this one planner. I love functional planner stickers, and have really enjoyed using. I was recently contacted by Marta from The Crafty Pond on Etsy to try out and share some of her stickers. I couldn't be more excited to share what she sent me....plus some planning for the first week of December! Hope you enjoy.
Hello friends! I hope your morning is going well. I have been working hard to try to catch up with videos and blog posts. :) Today I am sharing a new plan with me video that takes you through my October pages and then we do some planning in November too. This is a overview where I share my planning in the Inkwell Press Live Better Planner. Hope you enjoy!
Hello friends! Happy Tuesday to you all. I am back talking about and sharing something I totally love to talk about → Planners! Today I am going over the 2016 Inkwell Press Live Better Planner. In the video below, I am sharing some of the new 2016 Inkwell Press products I recently purchased during the new launch. I also compare the 2016 with my current 2015 Inkwell Press Planner sharing the differences. There are more pictures below and the entry form for the giveaway. Hope you enjoy!
It's no secret that I am in total love with Inkwell Press. I think the planners are so nice and it's been a blessing of sorts to have finally found a planner that I adore and have used for a year straight. Planner Peace if you will! I have a ton of videos on the 2015 Inkwell Press Planner that you can check here if you are interested! Now, lets have a look at all the new planner goodies!
First off, the packaging is super nice. You can tell that they really take care in packaging up their planners and products in a beautiful box. I personally wouldn't care if the planners came in a garbage bag because I love mine so much. They also include a few cards and samples of some of their products like the sheet from the Weekly Kickstarter Pad. All super nice additions to your purchase.
Now on to the planner: I picked the Wood Chevron Classic LiveWell Planner. The classic is a vertical design that I have really grown to love! This new 2016 planner is a bit smaller than the 2016 with a page size of 7 x 9. It's just a bit smaller but more portable to toss in a bag or to carry around. You can barely tell a difference and they designed the planner with the same amount of writing room. One of the most wonderful parts of this planner is the thick paper. It has 140gsm paper making it the heaviest paper I have ever seen in a planner. It's one of the many reasons I am sticking with this planner in 2016. You just can't and won't find another planner with this kind of paper.
There are some more subtle changes in the 2016 planners. The font has been changed around to a cursive kind of font that I like so much better than the block lettering. I think it makes it look more lady like. Also they switched around the order of the pages a little and added some additional color schemes. You will also find a lined note section in the monthly layout opposed to no lines in that area in the 2015 planners. Also there is a new bill tracker page in the back in the planner that was only available for download before....and now it's right there for us!

Since I love the journal so much...I am giving one away to one of you lucky subscribers/blog friends plus an adorable pen from The Calico Bear on Etsy! I just thought they go perfect together!

There are a ton of reasons I can go into on why this planner is so special to me. I think it's very well made. I think the company is wonderful and there are actual some additional perks to anyone who does get a planner. Tonya from Inkwell Press sends out planner setup videos as soon as your planner ships to help you get the most out of it. She shows you how to set it up to make your life more easier and functional. I don't know any other planner companies who do that for their customers. Additionally there are downloads that you can print off anytime and add to your planner. These planners are of super high quality but they are not over priced coming in around $54 each. That's not bad at all for such a nice planner. I think it looks more mature and grown up than our beloved Erin Condren Life Planners. I use to totally love that planner and company but once I found out about Inkwell Press, it was over. I just couldn't go back. Customer service is amazing and I couldn't possibly be happier with another planner.
I am going to finish out the year with my 2015 Inkwell Press Planner and then jump right into the new one come January! Right now these planners are sold out. However, they should be restocked in November. I will for sure let you all know when they are available. I actually plan on buying the A5 Inserts to try out around that time myself. There are a bunch of the journals in stock and planning supplies so check out the website and see if anything interests you. If you are interested in ordering something you can click right here and get $10 off your first order of $50 or over. :) I would love to know what planner you think is impossible to live without! Planners are so personal to each of us and what works for me, might not work so well for you. Share your thoughts! xx
Hello friends! I hope your evening is going well. I finally got everything done and basically sitting here with my feet up so thankful for a little downtime. It's been a long day! So far I have clocked in over 15k steps | 6.16 miles | and I still have till midnight until it rolls over and starts again. :)
I thought I would share with you my most recent planning video where I not only share planning but a little mini sticker haul too! I take you through my October planners/family calendar and then I decorate and plan this current week out. If you love planners, planner supplies, and or good piano music...this video is for you! Hope you can enjoy!
I can't get all my planning done in one video or even one day. New things come up pretty much everyday that have to be added. I love stickers for planning but remember they are totally not necessary to be efficient or organized. I don't intend on my planner being a scrapbook but adding a little color makes it a little more fun to figure out everything going on.
And it's just coincidence that I joined The Planner Addict Team today! You can read all about it in Tuesday Truths. But I am totally excited! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see ya tomorrow with a new haul! Have a beautiful and blessed night. xx
Happy Saturday to you all! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Honestly since this morning I haven't done much of anything that I haven't wanted to do. How nice is that!? :) I have actually been learning all about Windows10 today. I just got it installed in the very late hours of the night and woke up to a bunch of new changes. It's interesting and I do like the layout. Still their browser does not support blogger so I am going to stick to chrome but I am still loving the changes. It's got Cortana which is pretty much like suri on the iphone. So I get to talk right into my laptop with the click of a button to get the fastest answers possible. Isn't that amazing within itself? Lots of new features to get use to. Anyway, I am back with a new planner video. It is the first of the month after all! So I am taking you through planning in my Inkwell Press Planner and one of my Erin Condren Calendars. It's a bit long so get a cup of tea and settle in to watch how I planned things out for a new month. Hope you enjoy!
As you can see I do love stickers a lot for planning but you certainly do not need them. As you saw, this past week in my Inkwell Press I did not use stickers. It didn't seem like I had enough time to decorate so I just stuck to the basics. Pen and Paper is ALWAYS enough. So don't worry if you don't have a ton of stickers...instead, just start making a roadmap of your month, your week and your day. It's more important to know what you have coming up and what you need to get done than where to place a sticker. I just simply like them and like the color they add. But again.. you don't need stickers at all.
If you are sticker person, I tried to share where I got most of the stickers I used and where I got them. However, if you need further information on any of the stickers that you saw in the video, just let me know and I will be happy to help! Also in this planning video I share with you a lot of other supplies I love too. I normally buy stickers off etsy once a month or so but remember it takes a while for a lot of those stickers to arrive. I also order a lot of stickers from Erin Condren. Just because I don't use their planners at this time doesn't mean I don't like their stickers.
Here are some of the stickers I shared in the video above: BTW...I listed out the Sticker and then it's linked to the etsy store. You will have to scroll through and find which one you are using.
If I missed any just let me know if you need help finding them. I also find stickers out and about when I am shopping too. So be sure to check your local stores too. :) I would love to know what kind of planner person you are! If you plan weekly, daily, or even never! Let me know! :) Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend and don't forget to get subscribed!
Hello friends! Happy late night to you all. This video is going live late tonight because a blog post was required when the video went live on youtube. :) This plan with me video was mostly filmed at night....sorry for the lighting. But I just filmed when I actually had the time to plan. Hope you enjoy!
So as you saw in the video, I am letting go of one of the Erin Condren planners I have. It's slightly used and I will tear out a few pages but for the most part, the planner is barely used. I thought maybe one of you guys might want it...and that's better than it collecting dust on my desk. All you have to do is get entered below. You have until August 1, 2014 and it's open to everyone. ♥ Good luck.
Hello friends! Happy happy Tuesday to you all. I hope your day is going well. Can you believe we are already into May of 2015!? This is the month of my moms birthday, Mothers day, my oldest son's birthday....and so much more. I think it's crazy how time is flying by. Anyway, I am back today sharing my latest planning session for our new month. I can't do a ton of planning on film because it takes a lot of time....and it's really not that productive in my case. Instead, I am walking you through my May 2015 planners and calendars. Hope you enjoy!
I normally don't plan all in one big setting. For me, I do the majority of my monthly planning during the evenings when things are less crazy...and then I add to it through out the week/month. I do spend a lot of time inside my planner but it's checking things off and road mapping our days to get in as much as possible. I feel a lot better when I know what to expect and know what I want to get done. Let me know how you plan! I'll be back with a Tuesday Truths blog post later this afternoon...be sure to come back! xx If you are new here, I'd love it you took a second to subscribe!
Hello friends! I am back sharing a few new products from Inkwell Press. I first discovered Inkwell press through instagram and thought the classic planner would be ideal for me. I was looking to switch out of the Erin Condren just so I could have my day broke down by hours. Fast foward to now and I am in total planner peace with both my Inkwell Press Classic Planner and also the Flex planner for my blog and youtube schedule. So since I love the planners soooooooooooo much, I thought I would share my thoughts on the new journal and notepad. Plus why not do a giveaway!? Have a watch of the video to get a up close look at the notepads.. and there are more pictures along with the giveaway entry form below. Hope you enjoy!
Here's more about the new products...
The first new item from Inkwell Press is this Weekly Kickstart Notepad . This notepad is very handy to roadmap your week out. I like this for busy weeks when I need my family to know what is going on or for weeks I have a lot to add to my planner. Now, I can simply brainstorm and figure out what I have to do before adding it to either of my planners. Even when you go on holidays with your family you could totally write out the itinerary on this notepad and hang it in the hotel.

Now lets move on to the Daily Docket Notepad. First off I loooove the name of this notepad. I think it's super cute! This little notepad is so nice for busier days when you need more room to write out what you have going on. We all have those extra busy days when there is just not enough space in your planner. This sheet can simply be used and tossed away when your done with it or it can be easily put in your planner if you want to keep it.

The last new item from Inkwell Press that I want to share with you is the new Inkwell Press Journals. I didn't order one of these because as I said in the video above, I feel I have a lot of space in my planners for notes. But I still want you guys to know about it. I will probably order one eventually though! :)
Right now they have 3 different designs. These little journals would well for organizing your thoughts and has 4 different sections to help. Here's the breakdown on these journals.
$24.00 each
100 Grid Lined Pages
Very thick paper at 140lbs

I love that the downloads are included. I found a few that I loved when I got my first Inkwell Press Planner and I have used them a lot! So if you find yourself in need of a little notebook, this one might be for you!
So right now I have been using the notepads in my day to day life. I actually shared a picture on instagram sharing some of my Easter prep notes that helped me sail through the day right on schedule!
As with the planners, I think these look more mature than many other planners including the Erin Condren. For me personally, I think they will work better for me. Now because I love to share things I love, I am hosting a giveaway!!
Three of you guys will win either one of the notepads or the journal. This giveaway is going to go on until April 22, 2015. Hello friends! I hope your evening is going well. Since we are moving into a new month tomorrow I thought today I would share a little bit of my planning with you guys. Now please remember, I do not spend this kind of time planning every day. I normally do a big planning session at the beginning of a new month and then fill it in as needed as we go through the days. If planners are not your thing, I totally understand you skipping this video. However, even for you who don't like planners, this might just inspire you!
Planning is so individual and all of us have to find what works best for ourselves and our families. I found while I love the Erin Condren Life Planners the Inkwell Press Planner is really more fitting for my life. I would love to know what you plan with if you care to share! If you are new here I would love it if you took a second to subscribe.
Hello friends! I hope your having a great Thursday. I recorded this video yesterday in hopes of catching up a little bit! We have had company for a little while and it's so easy to fall behind when things get busy. Our oldest daughter came to visit with a couple of the kids. I totally have a new respect of how much she goes through on a daily basis....and we only had 2 of the 3 of the grand children. I got a comment on this video saying it made it sound like it was just an awful experience and she probably wouldn't feel right coming back. First off...Laura is just as much aware of the stress that we all experienced. I mean, she lives with all 3 kids everyday. She got hit in the face 2x with different toys, she had little to no breaks because the 2 year old is attached to her at the hip, and the new baby is easy but still was a little whiny. It was a new place and none of them or us were on our regular schedules. It was insane at times. At the end of the first full day after the kids were finally asleep we just fell out on the couch together and couldn't help but to laugh at how crazy it was. Then the next day, we had sick kids. After the 3rd time Harper got sick on her mom...I just started praying out loud.
It's just a hard age and hard to watch Laura go through so much. No wonder that woman is stressed out. Her husband too. I think as the years pass and the kids get older, she will get more breaks but Laura didn't really stop...and we were helping. I think if we could clone her....it would be so much easier! It's a young family who really is struggling in a lot of ways raising younger kids. I did it already but only with 2! I am hoping that she will get back into her normal routine that they are now back home and the stress level will go down. It's so hard and I really wish we all lived closer together so we could help out a little more. Maybe one day!
Anyway, I thought I would catch up in a quick little vlog:
I didn't get a chance to get up a WIR on Monday but here's a few of my to do's that I need to work on the rest of the week and weekend!
Check emails....so so many to go through.
Get list together for trip to the store.
Call dmv for a little question and answer session.
Scoop cat boxes. Yuck..Yuck..Yuck.
Take time to clean and organize the frig.
I need to do a detailed cleaning of all the bathrooms in our house.
Get to the po box this weekend.
Clean up files on laptop.
Get back to walking and yoga.
Try to catch up on filming videos.
Brush out the cats.
Toss laundry around.
Work in planner and calendars.
And to be honest, there are so many more things I need to done. But I am taking things one step at a time right now. Next up.. shopping! :) We need a few things around here so I am going to get that job done today. Hope you have a beautiful and blessed Thursday.
Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you are having a great day. I am back sharing another Planning Sessions video showing you how I am getting ready for this new month. I know many of you guys enjoy planning videos...so sit back and spend some time with me while I go over my monthly planning. Hope you enjoy!
As I mentioned in the video above, you don't have to have any of the items I showed to have a efficient calendar. I think all the stickers and washi tape are great but not necessary. You can totally grab any calendar or organizer with a pen or pencil and get started. I happen to like a little color for reminders and such but you can do everything you need to do by just being minimal. It's not about how to decorate a planner...even though those videos are great. Its about making your life easier for yourself and your family using your planner.
I have tons of other videos that you can check out all my other planning videos right here or on the playlist on my youtube channel. I would love to hear how you plan, what calendars or planners you like best.. if you care like sharing! If you are new here, I'd love it if you took a few seconds and subscribed so you don't miss anything. :)
Hello friends. I hope you are having a great evening. I am staying inside and staying warm on yet another cold winter night. You guys know I love planning and organization. I thought in the spirit of planning, I would show you some of the new items I ordered for my planner. Oddly enough, just yesterday I placed another big order that I will have to share with you on instagram and a vlog maybe. :) In the meantime you can check out my latest planner haul below!
Even though I do have a lot of stickers and washi tape...and even more on the way, I am not over doing it with my planner. The Erin Condren that I was using was a bit too bold and bright for me. All the washi tape and stickers was making my head spin. Now I am being a little more picky on what goes into my new Ink Well Press Planner. In case you are interested here are some of the links to the items I shared in the video above.
Thank so much for stopping by. If you are a blogger or youtuber, I would love to see your planers. Leave me a comment to your most recent planner videos and I will come check them out! I will also maybe share my favorites in a vlog! :) If you are new here, I'd love it if you took a few seconds and subscribed so you don't miss anything. :)
Hello friends! If you have been following my blog or youtube videos for any length of time, you know how much I love planners. I mean it just a part of me and my personality. I know so many of you are interested in calendars, planners and organizers so I thought I would share some new planner reviews for 2015. I am so excited to be sharing some new planner videos through this series! The first one we are starting with is this Inkwell Press Class Planner. This planner was not sent for me to review. This is not a sponsored post and the giveaway that corresponds with the video and post is also hosted by yours truly!
So lets get into this planner:
Right now they are not offering personalize their planners. I think it is because they were getting so many orders which caused kinda a backup and they wanted to get them out faster to their customers. I didn't really worry about this feature. I still feel like I can personalize the one I picked out on my own if I choose. I think the total time from ordering till when it arrived at my home was 4 days! Yep!! Who doesn't love that!?
Once the box arrived I was quick to get it opened. As you can see they took care in wrapping up the planner which always tells me a lot. It tells me they care about their planner, they care if it makes it to their customers undamaged and you know, presentation says a lot.
So I picked out the classic Mitered Stripe planner. I thought with this design I could have a sticker or label made to personalize the yellow strip if I wanted. I love the colors of this particular planner. There are 5 different designs from the classic line that you can pick from.
So the planner I picked out was the classic. The main difference is the way the weekly layout looks. The classic is laid out by hours and the flexible is more open and a easier way to plan. I like planners broke down by hours because I feel like I accomplish more when I break my days down into hours.
When you open the planner you can see a plastic see through ruler that can be easily moved around the planner. The first page is just a title page that has a section for your contact information in case you leave your planner somewhere. The next two pages include a 2015 year at a glance calendar and a separate goals page where you can list out your Personal, Social, Financial, Health & Fitness, House Projects and a spot for your big dream goals. It really helps people to see their goals daily and keep them in the front of their minds
The next 2 pages is where you can put your important dates. I honestly never found this kind of section helpful because I just put the important dates on the monthly section of the planner but I do plan on using this area for something... just not sure what that something is yet. Stay tuned!
Then you have a sweet Mark Twain quote and a little extra room for notes before the monthly section begins. This area can be used for any kind of notes that you want to see at the beginning of the year.
Then we move into the monthly tabs. The tabs are super secure and feel sturdy like they will hold up for a long time.
At the beginning of the each new month there is a clean monthly view. I think the colors and design of this part is very grown up and sophisticated. I am also very happy with the font in the planner. It is simply beautiful. On the right side of the monthly layout is a big area that is not lined for any additional monthly notes or doodles.
So before you get into the weekly layout you have a mission board and a note section in every monthly tab. I totally love this area. This might be my favorite part of this planner because it really gives you a brain storming area in a neat organized way. It's broke down by:
Me Time
Personal Goals
Health & Fitness
Be Social
House Plan
One open bubble
Dates & Events
One Grid Bubble
Right on the other side is a notes page that carries over from the mission board for notes and more ramblings. Its more room for all the notes you made on the other side. I think this area is pure genius.
On the other side of the note page, your weekly view starts. It's a two page vertical design where day has a column. The column is broke down by hourly time slots that start at 8am and end at 7pm.
The bottom half of the calendar is broke down into 3 sections. The top section is for meals, the middle for home, and the bottom is for fitness. So to be very honest I will not completlyy use the bottom as intended. I will use the meals area for our dinner but the home section I am going to use for things to do in the evening or things regarding the house and the bottom will be for online activity such as blog and youtube content, etc. I still have another planner for my blog and youtube but I also like to see it in this area because this will be the most used planner of the bunch. And it will be handy to know the schedule each week. On the right side you have a lined note area the length of the page. You could put any additional notes or list that will help you get through your week in this area.
Each month is broke down into different simple but beautiful colors. I think the colors are soft and again the font on these pages looks amazing. This is a 12 month planner so this layout is the same through all the months with the exception of the colors.
At the back of the planner there is a tab for fun stuff. This is a super neat area that gives you a few tools to help make life easier.
The first two pages include a Go Anywhere page that gives you an area to record travel information such as flight info, a driving log, hotel accommodations, and a to do list that is sure to help you plan any trip. There are 3 of these sections which might not be enough for me so I might remove the full page ( yes, it is possible ) and copy it...and make more to add to the planner. The next two pages give you a Gift List area that you can make out for people you need to shop for. It also has a big empty box titled " Ideas for me " where you can put some gifts you might want to ask for or buy yourself.
On the back of the Guest List page is a Movie and Books area. This is also interesting. It gives you a Family Favorites, Date night, Guilty Pleasures and Artsy movie categories. I love this because you can put movie ideas down in different categories. I totally think I use this area. The bottom part of the same page is a book area. It has Best Sellers, Just for me, Classics, & Motivational sections of books you want to read through out the year. Again, I think this is an area that I will use.
The next tab is the Note section. This area is nicely designed and at the top of the page there is a date and subject label for easy organization. This area is all graph paper which I also love. You get 11 pages of paper for notes throughout the year.
The back of the planner consists of a 2016 at a glance calendar for future planning, a thick double sided pocked folder that is a beautiful green and taupe. Clearly you can store any additional papers in this area.
On the back wall of the planner there is a really nice classy pocket folder than can hold anything you need it to. I think this is a very neat idea and I can't wait to see how well it holds up. On the back of the planner, you can see the elastic band that secures around the planner. I like that this is built in so it can't be lost.
So over all, I think this is a wonderful planner packed full of ways to brainstorm, plan and organize your day to day life. I really really like it. One thing I forgot to mention is there are free printables that you can print out and insert into the planner. When I come back and show you how I am using this planner in a couple months, I will be sure to explain how you can put more pages in. Really it's a simple as a little cutting and hole punching. It doesn't get easier than that!
So lets get on with the giveaway. Since I love to share things I love with you, I am hosting a giveaway so one of you will be get one to try out yourself!
