What's Cookin' | Our Daily Meals | Vlog Style!

Sunday, October 4, 2015

Hello friends! I hope your Sunday night is going well.  I am back here tonight sharing our most recent What's Cookin' videos where I share our daily meals with you vlog style. I know many of you love these videos and most nights, I try to share some of the cooking process. It's doesn't have to be perfect every night. Like I tell our oldest daughter, just try your best and serve it up! :) Hope you enjoy!

Also, it just so happened that last week, I forgot to share this video. Yep...sometimes it happens. That's why you should get subscribed to my youtube channel! :) Anyway, more dinner inspiration for ya.

Around here it's been a peaceful kind of day. I have been listening to the wind whip through the trees, grass, through the back sliding glass door airing the house out. It's nice actually. However, many here in the Carolina's are not so lucky. We are getting less rain tonight but who knows if it's going to start back up or not. I'll see ya tomorrow with a new week in review post and vlog! Have a great night. xx

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Good Afternoon friends! I hope your Sunday is going well. We have yet to do that much today. The boys have just been laying around and I have been in a panic to get this video edited through youtube. I was editing while in bed last night and sleepy and had a clip in with a very personal and candid discussion about someone is our lives. I wouldn't have minded if I had not cursed. I mean it is what it is. We all have had people in our families who we disagree with. But I was cursing and a few of you guys might have seen that. I am so sorry. I got right on youtube after figuring it out through the comments so a little bit of the video is cut out around the ham dinner. I totally lacked poise! But life goes on...and here is our latest video sharing what we ate in the past few days...and no more of the family gossip! :)

Thank you so much for watching. I share all of our meals with you guys. Not just the meals that I cook. We are a real family and we like eating out a lot and we like ordering in sometimes. Again I am sorry for the private call being included and if anything I said bothered you I truly am apologize. I'm going to work harder on not cursing! If you have any questions or comments about anything you saw in the video be sure to let me know! xx

What's Cookin' | Our Daily Meals | Video

Monday, January 26, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you all are staying warm. I have been watching the news and shocked at how much snow the upper east coast is getting. Thank goodness we are just a little bit further down so we are experiencing cold weather but nothing like that. So if you are jammed up in the house and need something to do why not check out our latest daily meals. This videos are to encourage you to menu plan, help inspire you with maybe different meals than what you normally make and I show them in vlog style so you can actually see me cooking. So sit back and have a watch! :)

I didn't have as many dinners in this video as before just because we were traveling and I am serving leftovers when I can. A lot of times I make more with the intentions of having it again....maybe in a different kind of way later in the week. It gives me a break from the kitchen and stops us from wasting so much food. It's really one of the main reasons we have been so good with the grocery budget. If you are new here, I hope you take a second and subscribe to both my instagram feed and my youtube channel. Besides here, that's where you can find me the most! :)

Week in Review w/ Weekend Vlog!

Monday, June 16, 2014
Happy Monday friends! I hope you are having a great day. I just have not found my motivation yet but I have been doing a lot of computer work and phone calls. So I guess I have kinda been productive in my own way.

This past week...

The weather here has been really beautiful for the most part. I have really been enjoying riding around town with the top down. The anxiety from my auto accident is slowing calming down. I still won't ride with the top down on major highways but its pretty nice to have all that fresh air and air with the click of a button. Friday  I had a lot to do which included shopping for household stuff. I got a bunch of canning supplies and I even picked up a couple new friends to join the Jaggers fish family! They were actually bought for my husband for Fathers day. He loves watching the fish swim around...I think it relaxes him. We can't remember though what kind of gold fish they are..but they look like their brains are on the outside of their heads ( sorry for the bad description ) so if you know what kind they are, I'd love for you to let me know!

Saturday I got busy replanting the kitchen herb garden. I think they all have more room to grow now and I got rid of all the compacted roots. So far all the herbs are doing great and the self watering tray really does help. However, I do have to add water almost every day. Once Scott got home from dinner, we took off to run errands and enjoy dinner at Sushi Dojo. It was during this time Scotts nutty exwife decided it would be a good idea to drunk text and drunk call us most of the night. Perfect huh?? We did our best to not let it effect us but it was long night and finally blocked her so she would stop calling us. She was screaming on the phone and on voicemail messages and you know her house full of kids listened to it all. Its really trashy and I feel sorry for the kids.

I guess we were mentally and physically exhausted Saturday night because we both slept in. Once we did get up...we laid around on the couch and fell back to sleep for a few more hours. It was early evening before we ever got dressed. I guess we both needed the sleep. The weather was kinda dark and gloomy anyway so it made perfect sense to just doze back off! We finally got up and took off to run errands and get more strawberries. Unfortunately  we couldn't pick them our self. They kindly told me that they don't want their beautiful farm destroyed by people stomping around. I kinda understood what they were saying. If I worked my butt off for a beautiful harvest...I wouldn't want people crushing strawberries...eating as much as they buy and maybe littering. I understood and just got 3 gallons for homemade jelly! We went and visited a friend for a while and then we finished up our errands with a trip to Walmart to get a few groceries we needed. Scott don't often go grocery shopping with me, but we kinda looked at it as a day date of sorts. However, the entire time our phones were blowing up from the physco ex wife. I totally love the ignore button and we are blocking every number she calls from. She isn't going to let us talk to him anyway. He's her leverage over us and seems hell bent on hating us more than she loves her son. She was screaming so loud that you know those kids heard everything. And she was drunk. | I have no words to describe how vile she is. |

We finally made it home about 1030 pm where I did record a food haul late. It was a long day and even though I wanted to flop on the couch - as my husband did - I had to get everything put up...When I asked Scott to help his cute response was - just leave it honey till tomorrow - I cut him some slack because he does work a lot and Monday was coming in a hurry for him. I stayed up and got everything done including cleaning the kitchen and I also cleaned and sorted the berries. I don't want them going bad before I can get the jelly. I'll have the tip up soon that helps protect berries and makes them last a lot longer. And its super easy! It was about 1am before I ever made it to the bath and even later before I climbed into the bed last night.

If you'd like to see more about our weekend here is our weekend in review vlog...

And guess what!? I put another vlog up earlier in the week in case you missed it. Its just a few high lights I thought I would share.

  • Look over jelly recipe one more time before getting started. I know its going to be a long day of canning and I am not sure I am starting it today or not.
  • Pray more. Life is complicated and I need all the help I can get.
  • Replant Chocolate mint plant into a suitable container.
  • Get many packages ready and in the mail. Actually I need to go to the post office box too.
  • Go buy lavender plant from the nursery.Clean under couch cushions.
  • Read another chapter in The Conscious Parent book.
  • Wait...wait..wait...on my new Erin Condren Life Planner to arrive. I don't even think its suppose to ship until the 23rd.
  • Edit many videos and get uploaded to youtube.
  • Get the 1st floor cleaned up in the evening hours tonight. I am totally running behind today.
  • Clean out inside of car
  • Clean all the ceiling fans.

I hope you have a wonderful week. Feel free to let me know what is going on in your neck of the woods if you care to share! Here's some inspiration to take along with you. ♥
