Blogtember: Life Lately

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

Hello Friends! I am linking up with Jenni from Story of my Life for { Blogtember }Its a daily blog challenge starting Tuesday Sept 3 with weekends off! The full list of topics is below but today/yesterday we are talking about:

Monday, September 23: A "life lately" post. What you're up to, how you're feeling, how you're doing on your goals, etc. Bonus points for great photos!

I have been sick lately and skipped a couple of the blogtember post ( that I may makeup this week sometime) but I thought I would just jump right in with today's prompt...

Staying Organized:

It seems that lately I have been working hard on planning and staying organized. I have been working on all kinds of projects around here getting things ready for fall and winter. I am a planner through and through. My family jokes that if its not written down in my planner, its not happening! I also started using another Day Timer that I just got. I have soooooo many planners.....guess its just an obsession. Planning really is a way of life around here. I find life so much easier to deal with when I know what I have coming up and I always have a working to do list. I don't think I could live any other way! To see my latest project video.. click HERE

Love:

Right now we have 3 beautiful Persian kittens bouncing around the house. A lot of my time is spent in the floor with them. Its crazy how much time can pass when I am playing with these babies! I feel so blessed have them in my life. Right now I am at the point where I am just going to keep them all. I am not sure if husby will go along with that or not.. but these days, a lot of my extra time is for them!

Laci:

I have been working hard with Laci on her blog. In case you don't know who Laci is.. she is my sister who just got to Ireland to do a year with a Human Trafficking Mission. She is blogging/vlogging her time there. So a lot of early afternoons I am busy helping her get things set up! If you want to know more about what she is doing.. check out this video... and you can always visit her blog right here!

Speaking of Laci..

Tomorrow is her birthday! So a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY and BIG HUG to you Laci!

Fall:

Fall has moved into our little South Carolina town. With all the rain, the leaves have really been falling. I am always so happy this time of the year when the leaves start changing, the days are crisp, breaking out the sweaters and sweatshirts, and enjoying cozy cups of hot tea. We have even been sleeping with the windows open at night.

Sick:
All of us in the Jaggers house have really been sick these past few days. I have been the worse but Scott is starting to feel pretty bad too. I figure little Jackson brought me home some strange germs from school here I am.. sniffling, coughing, and feeling like shit. Its crazy Jackson isn't more sick. He has a little cough but nothing like Scott and I. I seem to feel much worse at night than during the day making it next to impossible to sleep. I am loading up on meds and once I am better, I am going to get a flu shot so I don't have to go through this again. YUCK!

Hope you had a wonderful Monday!

Blogtember: What would I Relive?

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Hello Friends! I am linking up with Jenni from Story of my Life for { Blogtember }Its a daily blog challenge starting Tuesday Sept 3 with weekends off! The full list of topics is below but today/yesterday we are talking about:

Tuesday, September 17: A memory you would love to relive.

This was a hard one to answer.  I'm sure many people might have a happy memory... but I would pick something much much more meaningful. First, if I could relive it does it mean I could change it? If that was the case, the list would be so long. I would want to talk to my uncle before he passed away, I would want to tell my grandfather one more time how much I loved him and how much he changed my life. But I think most of all I would go back to the memory night before my brother died. I would totally change it one way or another.  He was 24 and died drinking and driving on a 4-wheeler. I would change the conversation and remind him not to be so dangerous. I would also let him know that I loved him very much and he was a wonderful person. I would have told him that I was sorry for being such a screw up that year. And the years following. I would want him to know that if he just wouldn't drink that night, so many lives wouldn't have been so drastically changed forever. I would want relive those moments and maybe just maybe save him.. save a family..save a friendship. I would go with him and be the adult who took the keys.. who didn't leave him alone to race around on a machine that would take his life. And if I couldn't change it, I would be there to hold his hand as he left this world and entered the next. And I would tell him that I one day I'll see him again.. and in the meantime come see me in my dreams. I would relive that time.. and I would either change it or say all the things that no one got to say. I would say goodbye.

This is terribly hard to write tonight..I done blogging until tomorrow.

Blogtember - Self Portrait + Sunday Greetings!

Sunday, September 15, 2013

Hello Friends! I am linking up with Jenni from Story of my Life for { Blogtember }Its a daily blog challenge starting Tuesday Sept 3 with weekends off! The full list of topics is below but today we area talking about:

I forgot to do this on Friday!!! So I thought I would catch up right now before a fresh week starts! So here was the topic for Friday!

Friday, September 13: A self portrait

So I decided on this portrait of me because I thought it was pretty good! I had this made in Tennessee in 2001 when husby and I took a fall vacation. I see it hanging on the wall from where I am now! That's my favorite hairstyle too.. even though its longer now. Anyway, how has your Sunday been!? I have been pretty darn lazy most of the day and night.  I don't know why it is when Scott's home all day lounging around.. it makes it so hard to find my own motivation. I finally kicked him out of the lazy boy and sent him to the 2nd floor so I could get a few things done down here. Over the next few days I am going to have a lot of free time on my hands so I'm not too worried about it. I have to be up super early tomorrow to get Jackson off to school. I think I will probably just stay up and try to get more accomplished. I really need to work on getting the frig cleaned out.. get laundry put up and do my regular cleaning. If things go as planned.. it should be a busy day. Scott has some things going on the next few days too that is going to take up a lot of his time too. I am think by Thursday we will both be ready for some quiet time together. My sister leaves tomorrow night for Ireland too. Soooo excited for her! Stay tuned for a upcoming video about her and what she is going to be up to! Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! I'll be back with lots of posts/videos tomorrow with a weekend in review and today's vlog..among others!

Well, I missed yesterday's post that I will makeup in the first part of this post and then go on to Today's Question and Answer.

Wednesday, September 11: Share links to your favorite online shops, preferably with a few photos of your favorite items in each shop.

This is pretty easy.. I love all the big department stores that I can shop from the couch. Such as Henri Bendel SephoraGiltzy GlamThe Container Store, ELF, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls, .....and many others. I am going to skip the pictures and move on to today's question!

Thursday, September 12: Discuss ways that blogging or social media has changed you.

I recently did a video on this topic.. that explains it all but blogging/social media / youtube has changed my life in so many ways. Its been a great - therapy - of sorts and I love it. For over 5 years I have blogged and I have loved every minute of it. Its helped give me a place to document our lives..Then as time went by and I moved to blogger, I made so many friends...its opened my eyes to a whole new world. I do have a small obsession with it and plan on blogging for a long time. I seem to have a camera in my hand 99% of the day, and my entire family copes pretty well! Scott is always in a video or helping at times.. but there are times when he tells me to put the camera away, shut the laptop, and relax. Its just a way of life now!

Blogtember: Unexpected Life Turns

Story of my Life for { Blogtember }Its a daily blog challenge starting Tuesday Sept 3 with weekends off! The full list of topics is below but today we area talking about:

Tuesday, September 10: Describe a distinct moment when your life took a turn.

Gosh.. its hard just picking one to talk about! My life has took so many turns through out the years. I think the biggest turn it took was when I was living and fighting with my ex boyfriend. Life was horrible.. I mean completely horrible. He was awful, yet I found it hard to leave. I think neither of us was happy and life was becoming more and more complicated. Eventually, I put his ass out and made some very big life changes. I actually got admitted into the hospital because of how hard of time it was. Once I came out, with a clear head and open heart to whatever life had in store for me things started to slowly change. I got back on my feet at my grandmother Marys house and then went on and moved to Florida with my mom. During that time, I had finally accepted a date with Scott. He was always trying to take me out, told everyone he was going to marry me, and worked hard at winning my heart. Things too off at rapid speed and I packed my bags ( again ) and started traveling with Scott. I think it was exactly what my heart and soul needed. Since that time, we have settled into a nice life off the road and merged out kids and families together.

All right I took my little test and the results came out pretty damn accurate.

Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging

This couldn't be more true..

ISFJs are often unappreciated, at work, home, and play. Ironically, because they prove over and over that they can be relied on for their loyalty and unstinting, high-quality work, those around them often take them for granted--even take advantage of them. Admittedly, the problem is sometimes aggravated by the ISFJs themselves; for instance, they are notoriously bad at delegating ("If you want it done right, do it yourself")

A story about a time you were very afraid.

I know this is going to make me sound crazier than I already am but..About 4 -5 years ago, Scott and I moved to Coshocton Ohio. His big boss was transferring from one dealership to another and Scott wanted to continue working for him. So we visited the town one weekend in hopes of securing some place to live. We found this very old house in a historical neighborhood that we agreed to settle on. We didn't have much time to actually find a house and get moved. The clock was ticking and we had to make a decision. We looked around the neighborhood  ( Roscoe Village ) and it was pretty interesting...and agreed to taking the old house. We went back and got packed up and moved into our new-old house. Life seemed normal at first. It was a really old house with its share of problems. But we just made the most of it. It was basically the best house we could find in a weekend.

The decisions you make today will effect you tomorrow; decide carefully:  My grandfather use to tell me this all the time. Little did I realize at the time how right he was. Every decision we make, has a ripple effect in the future. This is one of those lessons I am trying to teach my kids early. Its so important to know and understand.

If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?

To, everywhere.I would pack my bags and get going. I would want my husband  to go, so I guess we would have to pack him up too! I am also talking like money isn't any kind of issue! I want to travel the world more than anything.  I think it would be amazing to get on a plane and head to Europe. I would have to start out in Paris, then hop over to Italy and find my way to South Africa, and on into Sweden. I would vlog/blog through my travels and document all my memories. I would just let my soul guide me on where to go next. I would take in all the sights, smells, sounds of every place I visited. I would send sweet little postcards to loved ones. . I would taste all the food and drink amazing wines.. sleep in the historical hotels and travel the villages during the day. I would laugh with the local people..play with kids in the street, pray in some of the most holiest of churches, mediate on white sand beaches. I would  I think it would be amazing to turn my 3 month vacation into a lifetime and just stay there. :) I don't even like the cold but I am willing to give it a shot! I don't know if I will ever get to all the places I want to go but that doesn't stop me from dreaming.

Blogtember { Day 1 } Where I Come From:

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Hello Friends! I am linking up with Jenni from Story of my Life for { Blogtember }Its a daily blog challenge starting Tuesday Sept 3 with weekends off! The full list of topics is below but today we area talking about:

Describe where or what you come from. The people, the places, and/or the factors that make up who you are.

I grew up in Southern Indiana in a big French family. I mostly lived with my grandparents on my fathers side. My mom and dad had divorced when I was still in diapers but they were still a huge part of my life. So it was a bit weird but looking back, I had so many people who loved me. I attended both public and private school raising as much hell as I could. I was just not a calm child. I had all kinds of issues in my teen years ( as many of us ) but my family was there every step of the way. I really learned the meaning of family and loyalty in those years.
