I don't think there is a better place in the world right now other than my bed. I am seriously so comfortable that I could fall asleep typing! I am tired tonight but things went a little more smooth today. I stuck around the house for the most part cleaning the kitchen and breakfast nook. I went from the ceiling to the baseboards. I think tomorrow I am going to focus on the dining room and also the downstairs bathroom. I want to get as much cleaned up as I can before Jackson starts school.

I figure this weekend I will have plenty of time this weekend to get more done being husby has a big golf game far away on Sunday and he wants to practice tomorrow. I wasn't so thrilled about him doing that but he hasn't played much golf this summer so I figure the down time will do him some good. But I will miss him. =( I need to spend some alone time with the kids too, so I am sure we will try to make the most of it. Jackson could have me play with him 24 hours a day.. and I am not so certain he understands when I say..
Mommy needs a break!
All summer long, my days have been filled up with mom jobs. Carving out a little time for myself is just not an easy thing around here.
Such as today when I had to play Vet and bandage up the dog because he cut his face.. We have no idea how it happened either.
It looks nasty.. and it took a while to get it all wrapped up..
Hes pretty miserable too. But its holding and he is not able to scratch it off. Tomorrow I will have to put on gloves and change it again..hopefully it will heal up fast.
Once husby got home, he took the kids swimming for a couple hours. I took that time to go to the market and to the Dollar Store. While I was at Ingles, I found these fresh pot pies for sell in the deli. Yep! So since it was a late dinner, I thought these would be perfect!
They were good too!
Then I got in a mood to bake.. don't ask me why either.. I decided to make a huge chocolate cake..
And that's exactly what I did!!

Scott was exhausted.. So he gave hugs out..
and off to bed he went. He is sleeping really good so hopefully that lasts for the night. I am planning on sleeping in if Jackson will let me. Breakfast is all sat out..and there are plenty of things to watch on tv or games to play. Plus Jackson feeds the cats early in the morning and today he even picked up my room! Crazy! But he does try really hard to make everyone happy around him. I can't wait for things to calm down so he can stay busy with school. I think he is kinda ready for it too.
So how many of you watched the Olympics tonight? I have to admit, I didn't watch any of it. Its not really my thing but I will get the highlights from the news. However, I did see..
Sexy David Beckham driving that speedboat. Oh my.. That man could drive my boat any day! =)
