Well its cloudy and rainy today. We knew it was coming but gosh.. I wish that sun was out like it was yesterday! So my plans today are to finish picking up the house, change all the bedding, and get ready for the kids to get here late tonight.
I also need to put on my rain boots and go shopping later too. The kittys need some food and I have to pick up a few things for the baby. From what I understand she is a picky eater and lives off Mac n Cheese and gold fish! We have 1 picky eater in family and that is my Jackson. He is really picky and it has upset my ex husband for years but I think its because of his cooking that Jackson is picky. I find its much easier to make him what he will eat ( even if it requires me cooking an extra meal ) because I would rather him get full on food he likes than fight with him at dinner. In my grandparents house, meal time would turn bad a lot of times because that was the time we would get scolded if we had messed up during the day. Well, I refuse be like that now. I don't think they did it out of meanness or anything but just didn't know better. Now, if there is bad news.. it doesn't happen at my dinner table. Dinner has a different meaning to me. I prefer to talk about our day and make it a family thing where we all get up with fully bellys and smiles! Its funny how 1 or 2 picky eaters will bring back a childhood memory for me.
Anyway.. they are on the road now heading our way but its at least a 13 hour trip for them. They have been in Florida visiting other family and with Laura pregnant with one baby on the way, they will be stopping a lot. I doubt they will get here till late tonight.
Scott was up late last night too. His medication for his neck, keeps him up. He did a lot around here last night.. took a large fan apart and cleaned it, cleaned some spots on the carpet and finally came and laid down with me and watched the end of a movie in my bed.
Well, I have an email to send out and then work around the house till later this afternoon. Then I will be shopping and getting ready for the kids.
