Bed!

This picture reminded me of a book I used to read to the kids when they were little.. Of course many of you know the book.. Goodnight Moon...I was even reading it to them last summer but I was also having them read it to me too now that they are old enough to read!!

I was talking to Brittany this evening.. and I am so proud of her. She is such a good girl and everything she does amazes me. I HATE being without them while they are in school but after years of dealing with it we all are adapting. Sunday seems to be our skyping day.. and that helps a lot. Its not the same but any chance I have to see them.. makes my heart melt. However, something weird is going on with Jackson's phone tonight..  It just keeps calling me and no one is there. It happened about 10xs today and around 10pm.. I got another call. I thought something was wrong. I called back.. no answer.. Then I called Brittany ( I knew she was still up watching Idol ) and she went and told her dad that they need to check on Jackson because he might have the phone in his bed and calling me by accident.. Her father said.. no.. his phone is in the bathroom. So either my ex husband has been screwing with me all day or something very weird is going on. Not sure which but I don't think it was him. I really don't. So tomorrow hopefully we can figure it out. It actually scared Brittany.. It scared me too.

So anyway.. tonight husby came home. Michael and he came in about 9pm and guess what?? The computer was shut.. the phones were put up and we had time together that was not interrupted by all our advanced technology. My plan worked. I won't lie.. I wanted to check my email a few times when my phone dinged but I didn't dare pick up that phone! It was a much better night! Yea!!

I wish I would have got done the questions and answers post today but I didn't and I am not sure if I will have it up by the weekend or not.. so I want to go ahead and answer a couple of questions right now while I am thinking of it.

First off.. I got a email today asking about beauty post and wondering if I was turning this into a couponing blog.

Well.. thanks for the question but NO.. it might seem like one.. because I am working hard on trying to save money on groceries. One of our biggest expenses is food. And I want to really save. I am really just figuring it all out as I go. I am nothing like those extreme couponers. I am totally happy to save $ 20 -30 at the store whenever I do our weekly shopping. But I am working on beauty post but there have been so many other things like all the Mardi Gras post that I have been working on instead. But stay tuned, because I have a ton of reviews coming up. Just so you guys know.. reviews take a while to get done, now that I am including video's with most of them.

Another question I want to answer is about my moms dog Sammy. I got a couple emails wondering how he got into the attractions in New Orleans. Well, I don't know much about it but he is a service dog with all his papers and they allow him anywhere my mom goes. When we go into restaurants he goes right under the table and no one even knows he is there. He doesn't eat one bite while he is in a public place. He might get a drink of water but that's it. You guys know by now, I am not a huge dog person so I don't really keep up with Sammy but he does have his own facebook page!

I also got a question while we were in New Orleans that was kinda shocking but a reader wanted to know why Scott and I do not have children of our own.. Well, first off.. we do have children of our own. Its not his kids or my kids.. they are our kids. But to answer your question.. when Scott and I started dating I had a 3 year old little girl and a 2 year old little boy. I mean.. I just didn't need more children. I would have loved to have a child with him but between us we have plenty of children around. Our lives are so filled up now with the kids that we don't have the time we use to have. So I am done with the diapers and bottle feeding unless of course its for one of our grand children. And one of those grandchildren will be here tomorrow night and the other will be here at the beginning of May!

It was such a beautiful day here today. It got to be 77. That is the weather I like. Its hard to stay inside with weather that beautiful. Actually, I spend a lot of my time outside at that new patio table. There is an outlet right there beside of the table outside and I just hook my laptop up and blog from outside.. and I LOVE IT. Actually today I took a little hike with Cooper.. Yes, I am trying to make up with him. I was just super upset about him growling at the cats but we had a nice time.. I even made a video of it.. Here it is!


Well I have been trying to get up earlier and its 1am and bedtime! I am hoping to get up by about 9 or so!
