Husby and I have been sleeping for hours on end. I woke up and turned on CNN as I normally do.. and found out that Whitney is dead. That's terrible. Facebook is lighting up over it.. many blaming her and her addiction for it without really knowing.  Lets just suppose she did over dose. Does that make her life less valuable because she struggled with substance abuse issues? I think not. I also think many of us know at least 1 person who is fighting that battle too. I am no stranger to addiction issues. I fought them for years but by the grace of God.. I cleaned up many years ago. I have a huge respect for anyone trying to clean up their life. I think my biggest hope is that my own children don't have to fight those battles. That we can keep them from having to go through those challenges.

This is pretty sad. She had one of the most amazing voices ever and wasn't too bad in the movies either. She dominated the music industry with that distinct, incredible voice and that is the legacy that she is leaving behind. Think about all the contestants on American Idol that have sung her songs and will continue to sing her songs. I have a feeling her funeral is going to be massive with stars coming from everywhere to celebrate her life and music accomplishments. The song I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - has been one of the best songs of her life. I am pretty sure no one else has hit that note..

How strange tomorrow is the Grammys - which of course I will be watching and blasting through the house - and I am sure its going to turn into one of the biggest tributes to her ever. How sad. I guess at this point, we should take a moment.. say a prayer for her and her family and keep her in our memory's and hearts forever. Her music is going to be playing like crazy in the coming days and I am sure there are going to be some mean stories coming out in the coming days but we should all think of her in the height of her career. How good she was and how much she will be missed.

Just recently we lost Michael Jackson, Amy Whinehouse and now Whitney. Just think about it.. there is huge lessons to be learned from all 3 of them. I just hope some how some of these big stars figure out that their gifts are gifts from God and frankly..giving into addictions will take it all away..

Rest in Peace.
