These foam foundations are all the rage right now. If you didn't see my review on Revlon Photoready Airbrush Foundation Post you can see that review too, which is another foam foundation.
Here is what it shows on the back of the package on how to use this foundation..
First off..
I shaked it..
Then dispensed the
foam on my hand
It feels very light wait and then
blended it into the skin.
The finish is rather dewey and thin.
I was planning on being disappointed with this foundation from the start. I figured it would be fun to test it out but I also that if I didn't like it.. it would go back..
Well, to my surprise I liked it. Its a very light foundation. I don't see a lot building it up. Its just not that kind of foundation, however, I did add a couple of layers of it and thought it looked pretty good on my skin. There is no glitter in it that I can see and it gives a very natural look.
There are only 12 shades in this line which, I am guessing they will increase over time. The color that I got is #200 - Creamy Natural.. and its the perfect shade for me. One good thing about this product is it adheres to the skin extremely well, sinks into the skin, and looks natural. It feels like nothing is on the skin. I can smell the sunscreen in it but its not too bad. Another positive is that the foundation has an SPF of 16 and includes Titanium Dioxide, which gives you both UVA and UVB protection.
I think when you use this, and use a concealer and a light powder it will give you a very natural look. You have to move quickly and in small sections when applying because the product dries very quickly. Take a dab of of the product and apply to a small section of the face, then move to another section with another dab. If you do too large of a section, the finish will be blotchy and uneven. I used a real techniques buffing brush to work this into my skin and I thought over all.. it looked pretty good.
This is not one of my " top favorite " foundations but it is a nice thin foundation that will give you some coverage but not feel heavy. I think maybe for the summer this might be a good option to let your skin breath. I don't know how well it will hold up in the heat but for me this lasted on my skin for over 8 hours. It also takes a little while to dry, especially if you’re looking to build on the coverage and feels quite sticky at first but once it does dry you’re left with a soft powdery finish, making you look airbrushed (minus the streaks!).
I am over all surprised that I liked this.. I think I would give it a
B
Because I think for what it is.. its good. Its not loaded down with glitter like some of the other new foundations on the market and it does give a natural look on the skin. For a younger person this might really work well because it is so light. If you are older ( such as me.. 36 yrs old ) you might want to do a couple layers of this and use your concealer to get a little better coverage.
Here is my quick video review..
