Avon Big Daring Mascara Demo, Review & Giveaway + More! :)

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am back with a more fun beauty related video, blog post and giveaway! A friend/subscriber Jacqueline sent me some Avon items to test and review. I happily said yes! In the video below I am going to go over a few of the items she sent including demoing the Avon Big Daring Mascara. Here are my thoughts...hope you enjoy! Also there is more information below about the other items she sent along with a fun giveaway sponsored by Jacqueline herself!

This is the Avon Power Serum is by far is my favorite item out of everything she sent me. It feels amazing on the skin. I have used this mostly at night ( I do use moisturizer after ) and when I wake up my skin really does look better.  That was just with a few samples.

I noticed my skin really looking and feeling better using this serum. It felt firming and my skin felt moisturized and the over all appearance actually changed after one use. I swear. I was shocked at how much my skin really enjoyed this product. 

Jacqueline also sent me a full size Avon Big & Daring Mascara.  This is an interesting mascara because it is a 24 hour formula. Meaning it will stay put for a very long time.

This is a wet formula for sure. It has a huge wand with a lot of bristles and as you could see in the video, it really does plump up and lengthen. I think you need to really take you're time when applying this because it is a bit wetter. It does coat every lash and dries rather quick. You will need to use a oil based remover to get this easily off you're lashes. I don't wear my make up that long but it's nice to have a strong mascara that wont smudge or flake. It's not my favorite of all time but it's pretty nice.

Another product I got to try out is one of the Ultra Color Lipsticks in Carnation. She also sent cherry jubilee which was a little to bright for me but a beautiful shade. I personally liked the pinky mauve Carnation.

This color was perfect for me. It glided right on. It didn't feel heavy. I think the color alone is perfect for any time of the year. I did have to reapply it a few times through out the day but with as with any moisturizing lipstick, it didn't do that ugly feathering appearance on my lips. This was another favorite that she sent me!

I got a bunch of samples of Avon's Ultra Sexy Heart Eau de Toilette Spray. However the bottle is super cute! Here's a little more about this scent:

I am picky about perfumes. This one however is very spring like. It's very light...not a heavy scent at all. I personally couldn't smell a lot of the rose petals or jasmine but I did smell a lot of the drier notes such as the chocolate marshmallow and sandalwood. I smelled the orchid too. I actually like it a lot. It does smell fresh and light. Perfect for spring and summer. 

She also sent a few samples of the Black Suede Sport cologne for Scott to try out. Here's a little more about this scent.

This scent seemed to linger all around the house all day. I could smell it on the animals and even on Scott after he got home from a long day's work. I was taken by how good this smelled. I was kinda shocked it was an Avon product. I have paid tons for other colognes for Scott and this one is just as good. This would make a great gift for any man in your life. 

Avon has really stepped up their game in the past few years. Their skincare lines are amazing. All of them from what I can tell. Their makeup is top of the line as well. MomoUp Review & Giveaway | Video |

Hello friends! I am back today sharing a new quick review and giveaway. For the past few weeks I have been testing out some new makeup removers and blotting papers that was sent to me to review. I love trying new things and I do have to take off my makeup every night so I said yes...but I also asked if they would host a giveaway and they said yes! So as you saw in the video they also sent me blotting papers to try out as well. I was a little nervous about them because I typically have dry skin but I was totally up for trying them out. 

Both products were sent to me. However that NEVER effects my reviews. If there is something that doesn't work for me, I will tell you why. I try to list out the positives and negatives because what does or doesn't work for me might be different with other people. Here are my thoughts on these items. :)

I was excited to try these makeup removers out. I got them a while ago and have been testing them out every since. There is no quick way of seeing how they effect the skin unless you try them out for a few weeks. Night in and night out I used these easy finger-cot removers to take off all my makeup before a shower or bath. As you can see, the box comes with a lot of individual wrapped makeup removers. There are 25 but some nights I only use one and then finish with the 2nd one the night after. I love that they are wrapped up in a tidy way that won't get contaminated. They are also perfect for on the go or travel. 

These little wipes fits over one or two of your fingers to easily wipe off all the makeup. They are super moist. I was testing them out and could actually ring out the remover from the pads. I don't see any issues with these drying up. The waffle design on each one makes it easier to get off stubborn  makeup including eye liners and mascaras.  I was amazed at how easy it took everything off without pulling and tugging. I loved how it worked so well on my waterproof mascara! Having it on my finger allowed me to really get into the smaller areas of my face like the corners of my eyes and around my nose. Once I was done, I just tossed the used makeup removers right in the trash. I do tend to really wash my face even after using these. But I feel like I get such a better clean face because of the removers getting everything off allowing me to concentrate on just my skin in the shower.

I was also sent the MomoUP blotting papers. I normally don't use these a ton but I thought the case was so adorable. I tossed it in my handbag and before I knew I was testing it out! I pretty much have just dry skin but it's crazy how much oil that I was able to get off using some of the sheet roll. This one is interesting because it's not just a pre made size. You can just tear it where you want to in case you want a larger or smaller sheet. Very handy depending on the area of your face that you want to use it on. These are natural and powder free and work without taking off your makeup. It just simply removes oil without disturbing anything else. As I mentioned many times in the video, the case is so cute and fits perfect in your pocket, purse, car, drawer in your desk at work. I really think these papers are much more protected than the little cardboard envelopes that store many of the blotting papers on the market.

I was impressed by both of these products and I am glad to have tried them out. I think both are great for travel and I find that they are really well priced. The process was very easy. I loved the barrier cream because it kept my skin from staining. That went on right after I pulled my hair back. Then I started at the roots and let it sit for about 20 minutes before finishing the rest of my hair. Once I was done I used the cleansing wipe to get the die off my arm and around my face. It worked great and didn't irritate my skin in any way. Another handy edition to the kit that does not come in any drug store hair colors. 

  When time was up, I used the shampoo and conditioner that was also included. I have to admit, it was a little too dark at first so I just washed my hair a couple more times and it toned down a little bit. However, the color is beautiful. I think it was just shock but I know it looks much better. 

It turned out really well and I do like it a lot. The color was easy to apply and even easier because of the extra gloves, cap and detailed instructions. It's much easier to do your own hair at home than what some might think. With this kit it, it's easy to understand and the website also makes it easy to pick out a color with their quick quiz. Plus they have stylist standing by in case you do have an issue. 

I am totally impressed. It left my hair rich in color with pretty understated highlights. My hair smells amazing. It's soft and bouncy and I love the color. Huge Bare Minerals Haul! | Video |

Hello friends! I love makeup as many of you guys know. I had so much that I was giving it away to make room for new makeup. What that made me realize is I was really never truly happy with many of the products. Back in college I tried Bare Minerals and just found it too messy at the time for my day to day life. Fast forward to a year ago when I decided to try it out again and now I am in total love. This makeup that I am about to share with you has done wonders for not only my makeup collection but more importantly my skin. The pump is a sleek thin black tube that twist up and around for you to spray. You can also find the ScentBird logo on the top of the pump. 

The case is inner changeable. You get one 8 ml spray atomizer of a 100% authentic perfume each month. 

The vile of perfume slides in the case with ease and you can just change out the perfume each month. I think for me personally these will last longer than a month being I don't put on perfume daily. I found that it sprays easy and the sleek design fits into my handbag with no problems. 

The perfume I picked out what the Versace Bright Crystal.Inspired by a mixture of Donatella Versace's favorite floral fragrances, Bright Crystal is a fresh, sensual blend of refreshing chilled yuzu and pomegranate mingled with soothing blossoms of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower, warmed with notes of musk and amber. Here are the Notes:

Iced Accord, Yuzu, Pomegranate, Peony, Magnolia, Lotus Flower, Acajou, Vegetal Amber, Musk.  I found it floral but delicate and not overpowering.  I like how light, simple, and clean it smells.  A 1.7oz bottle is over $70. I’d never be able to get anything less than a very expensive and large full-size bottle without a subscription service like this. I love how the quiz that you take on their website recommends different scents that might be a good fit and this time they nailed it. I love this light flowery scent for summer. I have been complimented on how good it smells even on the first day I wore it. I am really impressed with this subscription service. I think I will subscribe for 6 months or so and build up a nice little collection which will last me a loooong time!

February Favorites! Household & Beauty | Video |

Happy Sunday friends! I hope you are having a great afternoon. I am trying to find some motivation to get things done. So far it's not really working! Both Scott and Jackson are still running around in their pjs, enjoying this Sunday together. DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift, 5 Minute Face Lift, & Flawless Cream Demos, Reviews, & Giveaway!! | Video |

Hello friends. I hope you are having a wonderful day! I am back today with a new skin care video and giveaway! Recently I was contacted to try out 3 new DermaSilk products and I couldn't say no! A couple years ago I reviewed the DermaSilk Night Time Face Lift that I really enjoyed using. I enjoyed it so much that I have bought it more than 3x since. :) So you know I had to say yes when asked to try out the DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Life, 5 Minute Face Lift, and the DermaSilk Flawless. You can see everything in the video and below is more pictures, information and the giveaway form. Hope you enjoy!

So the first item they sent me to try out was the DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift. With this product you apply it to clean dry makeup free skin. One pump is enough for both eyes. You apply it in a upward motion over your fine lines. wrinkles and crows feet. This formula claims to significantly tighten the skin around your eye area, reduce puffiness and lighten dark under eye circles. When I used it for the first time it was extremely tightening and felt amazing. I don't know why I love that feeling but I do! When using this the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles fades along with those crow feet that we all hate. I felt a difference right away and within about a minute you could tell that the fine lines around my eyes were less visible as were the crow's feet. 

The next product I tested out was the DermaSilk 5 Minute Face Lift. I am moving right into my 40's and my skin and face is starting to change. I see more wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet, and even sagging skin. With the exception of major surgery, there is not much you can do expect try some new products to help. This 5 minute face life has an immediate flash effect. It gives your skin a lift that lasts up to 8 hours and improves your skin with continuous use. You just apply it with your fingers to clean dry skin. You can use it on your face, neck and on your chest area. I like to apply it to the back of my hands when I am done with the left over to help keep my hands looking younger. This product gives you instant results that you really do see. You can add your moisturizer or night cream right on top of it...and you don't need to wash it off first. I have used it mostly in the mornings but for maximum benefits you can use it morning and night.  

The final product they sent me to try out was the DermaSilk Flawless lotion/serum. This one is a bit different. The big claims with claims with this product is it will make your skin look 10 years younger in 40 seconds or less. It has no tint and erases the appearance of skin aging, lines, wrinkles, crows feet, sagginess and enlarged pores within seconds. This product was originally developed to help skin look better due to high definition motion pictures. HD shows everything and this cream was created so that the imperfections many of us have could be blurred on the camera. All my videos are HD and they show every little imperfection I have. I can totally relate! You can apply this in a few different ways. You can use it without makeup and apply it as the last step in your morning skin care routine. If you use a liquid foundation you can apply it after you put on your foundation. If you use a mineral or powder foundation, you should apply it first. Also if you have dry skin you can mix it with your normal moisturizer to apply it. There have been days when I have used it on its own just to help even out my skin when I am makeup free.  Other days I have applied a small amount using my fingers over my foundation for a more air brushed effect. I was impressed again with how well this product worked for me. I have larger pores on my cheeks and love that it helps conceal that a little bit more without piling on tons of foundation, cover up or powder.

All three of these products cost $20 each and you can find them at your local drug store. You can even find them at Walmart or on their website dermasilkbrands.com. I think that is a pretty good price for the results that they give. You should be eating healthy and drinking lots of water to help your skin stay youthful but products like these sure help too. None of the ones I tried irratertaed my skin or caused break outs. You have to be careful not to use too much because you can get a white flaky residue but just use a warm washcloth and pat the area to remove the excess. Besides that, these products have really helped my skin just as the DermaSilk Night Time Face Lift.

I am rather impressed with all the DermaSilk products. I am actually thankful for the help! They are very easy to use..you need very little of each to get the desired effects and they improve your skin with continued use.

Recent Empties | Reviews on Product's I've Used Up |

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great day! I am back with another video to share with you guys. This time I am sharing some of my most recent Empties. This is not a video I make often because I am always trying out new products and it takes a while to use them up. I keep a little basket under my bathroom sink and when it's full...I film and share it! I kinda do mini reviews as I take you though all the products that I have used up.

Thank you for stopping by. We are suppose to get a lot of snow tonight and tomorrow. School has already been cancelled for tomorrow so we are prepping to be in for a day or two. I have a bunch of firewood to bring in and I think I am going to do a little baking to help warm the house up with the oven. I hope you guys are staying warm too. And please remember to bring in your outside animals.
