Saturday Night Dinner!!

I have so many food post coming up.. The crinkle cookie step by step is coming up later tonight or early tomorrow.. But I wanted to do this post for one reason..

The Brussel Sprouts. I know a lot of people don't think they like them.. but you shouldn't really say that until you have tried them my way. I am not kidding.. They are amazing..

Here's what was on the menu..

Beef Tenderloin Steaks.. These were pretty pricy.. Almost $ 20.00 but I thought they looked so good..

Fresh Brussel Sprouts..

some red potatoes

salad stuff.

I also had some bacon.. out for the Brussel sprouts.

For the Brussel sprouts.. I cut up the bacon and diced up 1/2 an onion..

I did a large dice on the red potatoes.. then took the Brussel sprouts and cut them in half..

For the steaks.. I am trying our homemade seasoning..

just sprinkle it on top..and press it in..Let it sit for a few..

I seasoned up the potatoes on a cookie sheet, with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and rosemary..
I then placed them in a 450 degree oven. Cooked for about 30 minutes..stirring around every few minutes.

I then added a little bit of the Masterpiece Steak Marinade.

just because I LOVE this marinade!

I also like to put a few holes in the steaks with a fork just to help that marinade seep down in the meat a bit.

Then for the Brussel sprouts...

I browned up the bacon in a non stick pan.

While that was going on .. I made a couple quick

salads..

and even added a little of that bacon on top!

Back to the Brussel sprouts..

once the bacon was brown, I added the onion and let it soften up for a few minutes.

Then I add the Brussel sprouts right in the middle, cut side down.

Let them cook this way on high for a good 6 minutes or so.. flip one over to check to see if it has any color on it. You want to brown the inside of the Brussel sprouts.

at this point I like to add a few slaps of butter.. I used 1/2 a stick and then I used the other

half on the potatoes in the oven. Stirred..

Once they are turning brown a little.. toss them around..

so they get cooked on the other side too..

add about 1 1/2 cups of chicken stock and allow it to boil

then put a lid on it.. and turn down the heat..

Then after about 10 minutes

take the lid off and allow most of the chicken stock to boil away..

About this time..

I got the steaks on .. with the inside grill.

And here was dinner..

It was amazing!!

Those Brussel sprouts are to die for. They certainly would be a great addition to any holiday table!  And I do the same with fresh green beans too.
