MomoUp Review & Giveaway | Video |

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Hello friends! I am back today sharing a new quick review and giveaway. For the past few weeks I have been testing out some new makeup removers and blotting papers that was sent to me to review. I love trying new things and I do have to take off my makeup every night so I said yes...but I also asked if they would host a giveaway and they said yes! Here's my review and to get entered in the giveaway just scroll down! :)

So as you saw in the video they also sent me blotting papers to try out as well. I was a little nervous about them because I typically have dry skin but I was totally up for trying them out.

Both products were sent to me. However that NEVER effects my reviews. If there is something that doesn't work for me, I will tell you why. I try to list out the positives and negatives because what does or doesn't work for me might be different with other people. Here are my thoughts on these items. :)

I was excited to try these makeup removers out. I got them a while ago and have been testing them out every since. There is no quick way of seeing how they effect the skin unless you try them out for a few weeks. Night in and night out I used these easy finger-cot removers to take off all my makeup before a shower or bath. As you can see, the box comes with a lot of individual wrapped makeup removers. There are 25 but some nights I only use one and then finish with the 2nd one the night after. I love that they are wrapped up in a tidy way that won't get contaminated. They are also perfect for on the go or travel.

These little wipes fits over one or two of your fingers to easily wipe off all the makeup. They are super moist. I was testing them out and could actually ring out the remover from the pads. I don't see any issues with these drying up. The waffle design on each one makes it easier to get off stubborn  makeup including eye liners and mascaras.  I was amazed at how easy it took everything off without pulling and tugging. I loved how it worked so well on my waterproof mascara! Having it on my finger allowed me to really get into the smaller areas of my face like the corners of my eyes and around my nose. Once I was done, I just tossed the used makeup removers right in the trash. I do tend to really wash my face even after using these. But I feel like I get such a better clean face because of the removers getting everything off allowing me to concentrate on just my skin in the shower.

I was also sent the MomoUP blotting papers. I normally don't use these a ton but I thought the case was so adorable. I tossed it in my handbag and before I knew I was testing it out! I pretty much have just dry skin but it's crazy how much oil that I was able to get off using some of the sheet roll. This one is interesting because it's not just a pre made size. You can just tear it where you want to in case you want a larger or smaller sheet. Very handy depending on the area of your face that you want to use it on. These are natural and powder free and work without taking off your makeup. It just simply removes oil without disturbing anything else. As I mentioned many times in the video, the case is so cute and fits perfect in your pocket, purse, car, drawer in your desk at work. I really think these papers are much more protected than the little cardboard envelopes that store many of the blotting papers on the market.

I was impressed by both of these products and I am glad to have tried them out. I think both are great for travel and I find that they are really well priced. You can find the makeup removers on Amazon for $ 14.99 with 4.5 star rating. You can also find the blotting papers on Amazon for $ 9.99 each with a 5 star rating. I don't know about you but I love a good Amazon rating! If you want to find out more about these products check out their facebook page. There is a ton of information and photos over there as well! I think both of these items worked super well for me and I wouldn't hesistate to buy them again! The nice people over at Momoups would also like for one of you guys to try them out as well and are sponsoring a giveaway! :) It's super easy to enter using the rafflecopter system below. Be sure to use all the different ways to enter to earn extra points. This giveaway is open to everyone. You must be 18 years old to enter or have your parents permission. This giveaway is going to last one week. I will announce the giveaway winner on THIS BLOG POST and Momoups will send out your prize! Good Luck to everyone!

Huge Bare Minerals Haul! | Video |

Thursday, August 13, 2015

Hello friends! I love makeup as many of you guys know. I had so much that I was giving it away to make room for new makeup. What that made me realize is I was really never truly happy with many of the products. Back in college I tried Bare Minerals and just found it too messy at the time for my day to day life. Fast forward to a year ago when I decided to try it out again and now I am in total love. This makeup that I am about to share with you has done wonders for not only my makeup collection but more importantly my skin. The mineral makeup not only looks great on but over time improves your skin. Plus I am not buying as much makeup because I have found a brand..not just a particular foundation or blush but an entire brand that I couldn't be more happy with. Here's my new Bare Minerals haul sharing some old products that I have re purchased and love along with a lot of new items that I love. :) Here they are...hope you enjoy!

How's your Thursday going? I hope you guys enjoyed the haul Anyway, lots to do today. School is starting on Monday and I have to get all of Jackson's stuff ready and get him back on a regular sleep routine with earlier dinners and so on. I'll have some back to school prep videos coming up very soon! Stay tuned! xx

DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift, 5 Minute Face Lift, & Flawless Cream Demos, Reviews, & Giveaway!! | Video |

Saturday, February 28, 2015

Hello friends. I hope you are having a wonderful day! I am back today with a new skin care video and giveaway! Recently I was contacted to try out 3 new DermaSilk products and I couldn't say no! A couple years ago I reviewed the DermaSilk Night Time Face Lift that I really enjoyed using. I enjoyed it so much that I have bought it more than 3x since. :) So you know I had to say yes when asked to try out the DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Life, 5 Minute Face Lift, and the DermaSilk Flawless. You can see everything in the video and below is more pictures, information and the giveaway form. Hope you enjoy!

So the first item they sent me to try out was the DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift. With this product you apply it to clean dry makeup free skin. One pump is enough for both eyes. You apply it in a upward motion over your fine lines. wrinkles and crows feet. This formula claims to significantly tighten the skin around your eye area, reduce puffiness and lighten dark under eye circles. When I used it for the first time it was extremely tightening and felt amazing. I don't know why I love that feeling but I do! When using this the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles fades along with those crow feet that we all hate. I felt a difference right away and within about a minute you could tell that the fine lines around my eyes were less visible as were the crow's feet.

The next product I tested out was the DermaSilk 5 Minute Face Lift. I am moving right into my 40's and my skin and face is starting to change. I see more wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet, and even sagging skin. With the exception of major surgery, there is not much you can do expect try some new products to help. This 5 minute face life has an immediate flash effect. It gives your skin a lift that lasts up to 8 hours and improves your skin with continuous use. You just apply it with your fingers to clean dry skin. You can use it on your face, neck and on your chest area. I like to apply it to the back of my hands when I am done with the left over to help keep my hands looking younger. This product gives you instant results that you really do see. You can add your moisturizer or night cream right on top of it...and you don't need to wash it off first. I have used it mostly in the mornings but for maximum benefits you can use it morning and night.

The final product they sent me to try out was the DermaSilk Flawless lotion/serum. This one is a bit different. The big claims with claims with this product is it will make your skin look 10 years younger in 40 seconds or less. It has no tint and erases the appearance of skin aging, lines, wrinkles, crows feet, sagginess and enlarged pores within seconds. This product was originally developed to help skin look better due to high definition motion pictures. HD shows everything and this cream was created so that the imperfections many of us have could be blurred on the camera. All my videos are HD and they show every little imperfection I have. I can totally relate! You can apply this in a few different ways. You can use it without makeup and apply it as the last step in your morning skin care routine. If you use a liquid foundation you can apply it after you put on your foundation. If you use a mineral or powder foundation, you should apply it first. Also if you have dry skin you can mix it with your normal moisturizer to apply it. There have been days when I have used it on its own just to help even out my skin when I am makeup free.  Other days I have applied a small amount using my fingers over my foundation for a more air brushed effect. I was impressed again with how well this product worked for me. I have larger pores on my cheeks and love that it helps conceal that a little bit more without piling on tons of foundation, cover up or powder.

All three of these products cost $20 each and you can find them at your local drug store. You can even find them at Walmart or on their website dermasilkbrands.com. I think that is a pretty good price for the results that they give. You should be eating healthy and drinking lots of water to help your skin stay youthful but products like these sure help too. None of the ones I tried irratertaed my skin or caused break outs. You have to be careful not to use too much because you can get a white flaky residue but just use a warm washcloth and pat the area to remove the excess. Besides that, these products have really helped my skin just as the DermaSilk Night Time Face Lift.

I am rather impressed with all the DermaSilk products. I am actually thankful for the help! They are very easy to use..you need very little of each to get the desired effects and they improve your skin with continued use.

DermaSilk is hosting a giveaway so one of you will be get one to try out all 3 products yourself! This DermaSilk Giveaway will run from today February 28, 2015 until Saturday March 7, 2015.   The giveaway is open internationally.  All entrants under the age of 18 must have parental permission to enter.  The one winner will win The DermaSilk 90 Second Eye Lift, The DermaSilk 5 Minute Face Lift and the DermaSilk Flawless Erase.

You can enter by following the directions in the Rafflecopter widget posted below.   I’ll announce the winners on THIS blog and post contact the winner directly through email.  Good luck!

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great day! I am back with another video to share with you guys. This time I am sharing some of my most recent Empties. Thank you for stopping by. We are suppose to get a lot of snow tonight and tomorrow. School has already been cancelled for tomorrow so we are prepping to be in for a day or two. I have a bunch of firewood to bring in and I think I am going to do a little baking to help warm the house up with the oven. I hope you guys are staying warm too. And please remember to bring in your outside animals. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.  If you are new here, I'd love it if you took a few seconds and subscribed so you don't miss anything. :)

Avon Skinvincible{ Multi- Shield Lotion & Deep Recovery Cream} Reviews

Thursday, July 17, 2014

Hello friends! I am back with a review for the Avon Anew Clinical Skinvincible Night and Day Duo. I do not sell Avon but my sister in law does. Many times if I see a product that I want to try she will send me samples to try before I buy it. This time, I saw this article on the daily mail and knew I wanted to try it. I got ahold of Trina and she was very generous by sending me 2 full size bottle to try. If you want to hear my thoughts on this duo, have a look at the video. There are also more pictures and information below!

More Info

First off I love that the day cream comes in a pump. The beautiful blueish color of the bottles protects the antioxidants from sun exposure. The day time lotion has a SPF of 50 which is very high. It doesn't smell strong of sunscreen but there is a hint of it. It goes on very light and sinks into the skin fast. I found it did a great job at moisturizing my dry skin and doesn't cause me to break out. I will say that if you are being filmed or photographed this high SPF in this product will give you flash back. It just will. But as with some other moisturizers with a high spf it doesn't give my face a crackly look when wearing foundation. I found I like to wear this the most when I am staying home and not getting in front of the camera. Also if we are out enjoying nature this is perfect under some light bb cream.

The Deep Recovery Cream is the night cream that I really love. There are times when I am filming or taking pictures that I use this instead of the day lotion. Its thick and rich perfect for a night cream. I actually prefer this product more than the other. I love how moisturizing it leaves my skin. As soon as I get out of the bath or shower each night, I slather this on. I have noticed my skin looking better and not being so dry.

Both of these products are $36 each. For skincare that's not too bad and right now if you order from Trina, you can get $5 off any $25 order. You don't have to have your own Avon Representative. You can order from her from anywhere anytime. Let me know if you have tried this and what you think of it. So far I am loving this duo! Stay tuned for more upcoming reviews!

Perfect Arches! Eyebrow Grooming Tutorial - VIDEO! -

Monday, February 24, 2014

First let me just start this off by saying my brows are anything but perfect. I have really thick hair and keeping them under control is not always so easy. There have been times when I have over plucked.. under plucked.. and even took a razor to them in my early 20's. So there has been a lot of faking it through the years!

Here's a few of my guidelines.

  • Please don't over pluck your brows. I remember plucking like a crazy person when I was younger. Be aware if you start doing that really young and continue, those hairs might never grow back. If you are new to doing brows, you might want to go to your local nail shop and get them waxed or even threaded. Afterwards, you can just tweeze any hairs that grow in the area that was waxed. Never ever use a razor. Its never precise and you can seriously mess up your eyebrows doing it.
  • Take a good look at your brows and try to figure out the natural shape. For me the arch of my natural shape is a little further over and I just go with it. Its so much better than trying to make my brows something they are not. Nothing is more unflattering that overdone drawn in eyebrows. So brush them upwards and try to go with the natural shape. Everyone is different.. no two brows are the same! I mean that too. Eyebrows are suppose to be more like sisters than twins!
  • Also consider the length of your actual arch. While it shouldn't extend too far down your brow bone, tweezing or waxing them off too short can really throw off the proportion and balance of your face. Trust me, I've been there... to both extremes. I do like a higher arch and I do make my brows a bit longer because my eyes are small and this makes your eyes appear bigger..But try not to over do it!
  • Don't pluck with a magnifying mirror. Ever. Seems like a great idea, and it makes seeing the hair so much easier, but if you need a 10x magnifying mirror to see the hair, you don't need to pluck it. Unless you have serious vision issues, you don't need one of these ever.
  • Most of us women have eyebrows that require some type of definition (eye brow shaping) to look complete. Applying make-up to your eyebrows helps them stand out and look complete. At first, you may feel the eye brow pencil has exaggerated your eyebrows. Just remember that your are used to seeing your old look and it takes a short time to adjust to a new look.
  • Begin the eye brow shaping process by balancing your eyebrow so that it is proportionate with the rest of your face. Look in the mirror and place imaginary lines (or a pencil) across your face to match the lines shown here. Do this on both sides of the nose and pluck only in between. Be careful about the distance between the inner brows and the length of the brows.

  • A. When eye brow shaping, imagine a vertical line going up from the outside of your nostril towards your forehead. The inner part of the eyebrow should converge with this line.

    B. A straight line going out from the outside corner of your nostril past the outer corner of your eye marks the end of your eyebrow.

    C. Your arch should be found two thirds of the way from your inner eyebrow

For lots of details and how I groom my brows, check out my tutorial below:
