Five Question Friday!

Happy Friday Friends! Time for another Five Question Friday! 

1. Where do you hide things from your kids at?

I had my husband put a state of the art lock on our big bedroom closet. We keep the guns in there and anything else we want to keep away from the kids. Plus is a huge walk in closet and its holds secret birthday or Christmas gifts. Its is a pain having to unlock the closet every time we want to go in but it makes me feel better to have some of husbys stuff locked up! 

2. What is your favorite rainy day activity for bored toddlers?

Its been a while since I have had toddlers being my kids are 10 -11 and 17 now...but I remember doing little crafts they liked.. my kids loved the Candy Land game from a very early age...and if its summer.. we play in the rain.. 

Last year all the little kids were playing out in the rain and the neighbor loved watching them.. he came over the next day and asked if I was worried about them getting hit by lightening? NO. Kids need to be able to go play out in the rain on warm summer days! Why not let them have a little fun!?

3. Are you a punctual person or are you always running a few minutes (or more!) late??

I am normally pretty punctual. There are times when I am running behind but its not the norm. I am a big planner so most of the time.. I am on schedule! 

4. When eating out, do you prefer  off the beaten path "Mom and Pop" cafes or tried and true national 

Honestly I like both. We have a burger joint here that I love.. and its a little mom and pops. But I also love Outback.. Applebees.. and even the Waffle House sometimes! 

5. Does your significant other snore? Do YOU snore?

Scott really snores. He or I ends up sleeping in the spare bedroom a lot. You know after being together so long I don't mind if he sleeps in another room some nights. As long as he is in the house when the door locks.. he can sleep where ever he likes! But his snoring is really loud and its drives me crazy. I even have videos of it! I don't normally snore unless I am super tired!

5 Question Friday!

 1. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along?

Well I don't ever expect to be stuck on a island with a DVD player.. but it actually sounds amazing! 

But the 5 books I would want.. A large..very large calender that I can write in. 2. One large book with all of Jane Austin novels in it. 3.Tropical Guidebook.. 4. Survivors guide. 5. An empty journal.

 Movies.. 1. Emma 2. Cast away =) just for ideas. 3. Marie Antoinette..4. Entrapment 5. Mission impossible box set!.  

The 5 people I would choose.. would be 1.Scott 2. Brittany 3. Jackson 4. Survivor guy =) 5. My mom. 

And Foods.. 1. Pasta.. lots of pasta 2. Sugar 3. Coffee 4. Grapes 5. Cake

5 Question Friday!!

1. What terrifies you the most?

Loosing my husband or kids. I couldn't imagine being on the planet a day without them in my lives. They mean the world to me. 

2. Favorite fall/winter drink?

 Wow.. so many but I really love..Pumpkin Spice Caramel Latte 

Yummmmm!!

3. Do you and your spouse have the same political views?

 Oh God NO. I consider myself an Independent but my husband is the biggest Republican I know. I support our President, and he doesn't. But I am at least happy I basically cancel out his vote! Our debates get very heated at times. But I guess we balance each other out somehow! 

4. What was the last book you read? Was it any good?

Still working on... 

I have it on my kindle and read it when I can...which isn't as often as I would like! 

5. Do you look forward to the snow each winter? Why or why not?

Its kinda weird for me.. I think its pretty. I don't mind looking at it from the inside.. but what I don't like is being cold. I am a tropical girl.. right now we live in North Carolina. It doesn't get too cold here but I want to move us to Florida as soon as I can. That might be 1 year or 5 but it will happen!

Five Question Friday

1. Who wakes up in the morning with the kids, you or hubby?

 I am very very blessed to have a husband who gets up in the mornings with Jackson. I am up really late and I get everything ready.. including getting breakfast made for them. I lay out Jacksons clothes, pack his backpack.. all the night before. Scott gets him up and keeps an eye on the time but Jackson pretty much gets up and moves along with breakfast, getting dressed and brushing teeth. Then Scott drives him to school. I am so thankful for him taking the morning shift. Thank you baby! 

2. Do you watch the World Series even if your team isn't in it?

Yes. We like baseball around here.. but we don't watch it that much.. but we always watch the World Series. 

3. What is the best compliment you have received?

My kids telling what a great mom I am is the best ever. They are amazing kids and I its a honor to watch them grow up. 

4. Do/did you dress up to take your kids trick or treating?

 Nope.. I don't. I stopped dressing up a long time ago but I do love Halloween! 

5. Do you have a favorite bible verse? What is it and why?

I can't just put one on here.. there are soooo many I love but these are my favorites..
