Week in Review: November 3 -9, 2014 Life @ Home! Day in the Life Vlog & Blog Post!

Monday, November 10, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our weekend. I also vlogged a little each day which you can see in the video below. I have been trying to move all my video's to my main channel including the vlogs but for right now I am uploading them to both channels. I think that is the best way to do it right now but eventually they will probably all move to my housewife life main youtube channel. I hope you don't mind but I have been trying to figure out a way to make everyone happy. I don't expect you to watch them twice but now you will be able to find my vlogs on both channels. ↓Here it is↓ Hope you enjoy! More pictures and info below!

Oh...sorry about the date below in the picture. For just a few minutes I thought I was still in October!

This Past Week:

First...some snaps from my weekend...

There really wasn't much exciting going on around our house this past week. Everything was pretty normal. I mainly stuck around the house tackling different little projects through the house like the drawers in the kitchen, and closets. I seemed to stay busy all week long with keeping up with my videos and blog posts and taking care of my family and the house. I did some shopping over the weekend and even did some baking. I was hoping to have some baked treats to put in the lunches through out the week but my little rustic blueberry pies were such a hit that there are only a few left. The week was cold for the most part, giving me plenty of reason to start a fire and enjoy a cozy house when the weather is quickly changing from fall to winter. Seriously....a polar vortex is suppose to hit the United States THIS WEEK!!! Shit...I seriously do not like the cold weather. I like the idea of the cold...pretty snow, cozy nights by the fireplace, hot chocolate, sweaters, comfy wool socks....but actually shivering, I hate. So I predict that this week will be a lot of the same....being at home where I am my most comfortable. I tried to use the oven as much as possible for dinners this past week just to help warm up the house more. We always have high electric bills in the winter so anything I can do to keep the house warm without turning up the heat, I love!

Jackson had a pretty good week at school. Thankfully the school has worked hard with us to make sure that Jackson is protected from bully like behavior from a few other boys. I worry so much about the school system and keeping the kids safe...I just can't always be there to protect them so I have to put my trust in others to help. I am thankful that he seemed happier this week. However, my 13 year old is still acting stuck up brat but I suppose that is her age. I am hoping that in time she will stop worrying so much about others think and focus more on what she thinks about herself and doing good for others.

Another thing that has been on my mind a lot is a dear old friend who is struggling with some health issues. I am not sure what is going on with her but she seems sooooo laid back and calm..more so that I. I keep thinking that of all the friends I have she is probably one of the best people I know. She has done everything right and for her to get sick just flips me out. I know one thing don't have anything to do with the other but its seriously weighing on my mind. If you pray, I would really appreciate you putting her in your prayers.  I am not going to list her name but I still think God will know who you are praying for regardless. I just don't want anything to happen to her. She has a beautiful life and family that needs her as much as she needs them. Idk... I am just scared for her. I am hoping over the holidays we can meet up and see each other since I am going to be up in her area around Christmas. And before someone asks.. it is not Shanna. She is as good as ever and another dear friend who I adore.

Over all it was rather a stress free week at home. We are about to enter a very busy time so some time at home doesn't hurt anything. Soon we will have family here and then we are heading up north for Christmas this year. I am actually considering vlogging everyday in December but still not sure. It might be fun and it also might be too stressful to vlog everyday. Idk...let me know your thoughts! In the meantime here is this weeks to do list..
