Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our weekend. I also vlogged a little each day which you can see in the video below. I have been trying to move all my video's to my main channel including the vlogs but for right now I am uploading them to both channels. I think that is the best way to do it right now but eventually they will probably all move to my housewife life main youtube channel. I hope you don't mind but I have been trying to figure out a way to make everyone happy. I don't expect you to watch them twice but now you will be able to find my vlogs on both channels. ↓Here it is↓ Hope you enjoy! More pictures and info below! This Past Week:
This past week was pretty good. Monday Scott was off work and we spent the entire day together. We had a really nice time together. It was a little chilly on Monday but not too bad. We managed to go run errands, have a nice lunch and did some shopping. Once we were home, Scott got busy getting the house warmed up with the fireplace. I am wanting to keep our electric bill as low as possible this winter so I am depending on warm fires to help heat the house. Its been working pretty good so far.
The rest of the week was pretty typical. Working around the house, taking care of my family and animals. I finally bathed and groomed all the kitty cats which was a big big job. Grooming 4 Persian cats will wear anyone out! But I am so got that big job done. :)
I have been working around the house trying to get as caught up as possible before Thanksgiving hits. Even today, I have a lot to do and areas to organize. Its pouring down rain right now so I guess it will give me something to do while staying inside.
I worked in my planner a lot last week just trying to roadmap the rest of the month. I seriously can't believe how fast we are moving through November. Before we know it, Christmas and New Years will be here. It feels like everything is just ending so fast. It was a week of homework and projects..lots of papers to fill out for Jackson. I think the school loves messing with us sometimes! I have a stack of papers for ipads, school trips, book fair info... seriously when I am done just with Jackson's stuff...we'll probably be wore out and broke! :) Also on my desk is a stack of products that are products to review and giveaway gifts. Yea...the desk is getting filled up fast.
Over the weekend, I did manage to leave the house and do some shopping. I have a new Dollar Tree haul up along with a new Weekly Food Shopping haul. I hated going out in the cold. Seriously... there are times when its cold outside, I just won't leave for days on end. Speaking of the cold... today's weather is not much better than it was at the beginning of the week. Yea. it's cold everywhere except Florida... See why I want to move south!?
Its been freezing all around us. I hope you guys are all staying warm! I just know most of the US is going to have a awful winter. Also, if you have outside pets, you might want to bring them in if possible during the really low night time temperatures.
Here's a few things that I have to try to get done this week!
- Finish weekly cleaning today. :( But got a good start on it yesterday, so hopefully it won't take too long.
- Organize all the clutter areas on the first floor before Wednesday and then for the remainder of the week, clean up the other clutter areas on the 2nd floor.
- Clean up the DVR for this weeks shows.
- Call credit company about a mistake in the billing...typical.
- Build a fire in a few minutes. Its seriously cold here.
- Put up laundry that I did last night....have I mentioned how much I hate that job?
- Order winter candles from Bath & Body works before my coupon expires.
- Get planners put up....they are still all out from making this video.
- Go buy that trashy plastic stuff to go over the windows. If you just stand by a window in my house your probably frost bite. And this is a new house so go figure.
- Get chalkboard walls ready for Thanksgiving.
- Try to get Scott to take my car in to have it cleaned. I don't clean my car when its cold outside. Yea...no thanks!
- Move herbs to warmer spot in the house. As I said...the windows are so cold.
- Have Scott clean off out the fish tank...it really needs it.
- Clean the coffee pot out with vinegar.
- Clean cobwebs hiding in the corners of the rooms.
- Spend time with Scott on Wednesday...it's his day off.
- Find another project for Jackson to do this weekend. He loved the kiwi crate lantern.
- Work on Christmas gift list and card list.
- Enter the massive amount of Coke Reward Points for free Shutterfly holiday cards.
- Make egg salad for the boys..also need to do a little baking.
- Get a Thanksgiving Prep Blog post done this week.
- Call in prescriptions and pick them up this upcoming weekend.
- Do a quick pantry pick up....it needs it.
- Call Grandma Mary to check on her.
- Work on Thanksgiving to do list, menu, and grocery list.
