Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful evening. I am back with a wonderful tasty recipe that is to be sure a hit in your home as it is in mine. This is a Croque Monsieur on a Croissant. Its basically a grown up hot ham and cheese sandwich. Everything you need to know is in the video and there is even more information and the recipe below!

Here's the recipe...

Ingredients:

1 tablespoons unsalted butter
1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup hot milk
Pinch of Salt, Pepper and nutmeg
6 ounces Gruyere, grated (2.5 cups)
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan
croissants
Dijon
 honey ham, sliced

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Melt the butter over low heat in a small saucepan and add the flour all at once, stirring with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes. Slowly pour the hot milk into the butter–flour mixture and cook, whisking constantly, until the sauce is thickened. Remove from heat and add just a pinch of salt and pepper along with some nutmeg. Also add a small handful of the grated Gruyere, ( about 1/2 cup ) and the Parmesan and set aside.

Halve and toast the croissants, place the slices cookie sheet and brown in the oven. Leave on one side for about 2 minutes then flip and leave in for another minute or so. You just want to lightly toast them.
Coat the croissants with mustard, add  ham and sprinkle with remaining Gruyere and add the tops of the toasted bread.

Drizzle the tops with the cheese sauce, sprinkle with the remaining Gruyere, and broil the sandwiches for2 - 3 minutes until the topping is bubbly and lightly browned. Serve hot with a simple salad and enjoy!
