Letters to my Former Single Self { Week 4 }

Im linking up for the last week with Lisette for Letters To My Former Single Self.  Describe your first date with your now current partner. Did you feel any "butterflies" on your first couple of encounters? Did you have any indication it would later be the "real deal?"

Dear Broken Kisha, 

Your feelings were right on that first date! You didn't dream big enough for yourself because it turned out to be an amazing life with a wonderful man.

Do you remember writing this journal entry?? 

( My writing looks like I was in a crazy hurry! My MOM kept this journal for YEARS and just sent it to me.. Its funny because I have NO MEMORY of writing it. I don't share private journal entries often but I felt this was perfect for this post ) 

You wrote this and mom put it in her safe for MANY years. It amazing that you wrote those words because he is still the amazing man you wrote about.  This was the beginning of a very long love affair. And the regret that you didn't pay attention sooner will always live within you. Life totally changed when you looked up and answered his question HONESTLY..

Are you happy? 

You should have told the truth sooner because your life is wonderful .Your doubts in the beginning were silly because he is still the man of your dreams. Your life together won't always be easy but your love carries you through it all. Years will pass quickly.. so savor all the good moments. Make as many good memories as you can because the love only grows stronger. 

Learn to be more patient and not so demanding. Things don't always have to be done YOUR WAY. Just remember to listen to his point of view more because he is a very smart man and this will be handy in the future. Believe me.. he will be the one helping with the kids math homework. Remember that he is your equal and he will work hard for his family. He really just wants to feel loved and appreciated. Take time to show him what he means to you. You have had enough bad relationships to know what NOT to do so take care of this one. 

The family you both create will be amazing. Grand kids.. you won't believe what is coming along at a very fast rate. Just hold on and enjoy sweet life.
