Good Morning to you all. First thing this morning, I turned on the news to just make sure that what happened last night.. really happened. And YES.. I wasn't dreaming!
I don't think the next 4 years is going to be totally easy for him or us but I really do believe in my ♥ that he was the better choice. I am very political and I hate that this might upset some of you but remember if you didn't vote.. you shouldn't really be bitching. My opinion is, the Republican party has become so extreme that it totally effected them. First its anti abortion, then anti birth control, no gay rights, and the list goes on and on. I think we got this way ecocomly from the Bush tax cuts and Bush wars and I don't think its a easy job to bring us back from that. But that's just my opinion. I think in 4 years they can take the White House if they get a younger more current candidate. We'll see. I am very happy though.
However, I know the election was a huge deal but I still think we should keep New York and the East Coast in the front of my mind. Many people are still living without any power and they are getting pounded with a winter storm on top of it. How awful is that?
I saw this picture yesterday..
and I thought it was the perfect example of how we come together in tragedy. We are Americans.. we get up.. dust ourselves off and come together. I love that picture above. What a great thing to do. It might not look like a big thing but for the people who have no power.. its a huge deal to just get their phones charged. I wish I knew the people who did it because I would email or tweet them how they are amazing people for doing that. Well done.
