I haven't been feeling very good today so I have been kinda slow with blogging but I want to take a few minutes to talk to you about this movie! I saw it ON DEMAND with Time Warner and decided why not!
The movie is about..
The movie is about..
When Britain's leading fisheries expert (Ewan McGregor) is approached by a consultant (Emily Blunt) to help realize a sheikh's (Amr Waked) vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert, he immediately thinks the project is both absurd and unachievable. But when the Prime Minister's overzealous press secretary (Kristin Scott Thomas) latches on to it as a "good will" story, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible. -- (C) CBS Films
Here's the trailer..
I am giving this movie..
yep.. 4.5 stars because it was rather a charming movie. First off, I love the concept of Salmon fishing in Yemen. I think we should be figuring out ways for other countries to start growing more food. I know you don't really " grow " salmon but the idea of bringing in more food and water sources is brilliant. And this is a pretty good concept!
I think Emily Blunt was amazing- as always - and I also loved her interaction with Ewan McGregor who was also brilliant.
They both were smart and while it seemed impossible to him.. she knew what she was doing and together they got it all figured out.
Another one of my favorites was the part of Patricia Maxwell played by Kristin Scott Thomas
who is a quick tongued Political Press Officer. I really liked her part!
I think this is kinda a hidden gem in the movie world. Maybe the movie title should have been a little more catchy but this movie certainly did not disappoint in any way. Its a sweet romantic comedy that has a great cast who take over and turn it into a really good movie.
Its also pg-13 so it would be fine for a family. The F word is used 1 time from what I remember but over all its a clean movie.
Don't miss out on seeing this because its a surprising good movie!

I heard about this movie and was interested in seeing it after seeing the trailer. I hate paying for movies that I haven't seen because I'm afraid I won't like them (silly, I know) but after reading your review I think I'll give it a shot!

Thanks for commenting! The movie is sweet.. and if I ever see a movie I paid for that I don't like.. I take a few minutes to complain and normally get it for free! So keep that in mind when trying new movies!
