Its been a long day for me around here. Hell, I was talking to Brittany at 7am and in Mickey D's drive through by 730am... Not to mention, I was sick sick sick late last night. I did manage to fall back to sleep about 930 for a couple of hours but once I was up, I got working on this house and didn't stop.
I first got busy working on Brittany's room.. To tell the truth, my daughter is a bigger slob than what I like to admit. She was downstairs in the room we used for our study.. because we put both boys upstairs over the summer in their own rooms. I ended up just using the living room along with my upstairs desk to store all my office stuff so I could move her in there.. and today I moved her out.
I got the bedroom furniture out - which the cats loved. - I found it kinda sad and then I saw the mess she really had in there and got a little upset over it. But I cleaned it up, moved the office furniture back in there and now its much neater.. but no Brittany. =(
She had a great first day.. However, she took the wrong bus but it got her there anyway... She got her first locker..She found her way through the new school with no problems...She has some pretty strict teachers.. and already had some homework...She didn't fall asleep at all.... and she said she had a great day! She is growing up so fast on me. I even got a couple text messages throughout the day when she had breaks. I am miles away and was with her from the beginning of the day, through school, to the end of her day when she was going to bed. Its not easy parenting from afar but its totally possible to be involved from a distance. You just have to put the effort out.
Since I wasn't feeling well today, husby stopped by the market for me on the way home. He seemed to have fun shopping and brought home a bunch of stuff.. including this
pretty rose for me. Just the other night he got me these
pretty flowers that are still beautiful sitting down in the kitchen! I am not someone who minds getting fresh flowers. While I love to save money, I can't help but to love fresh flowers.. and husby spoils me!! Thank you baby... I love you very much.
I was pretty exhausted by time it came to cook dinner. I didn't want to cook but eating out AGAIN was not happening. Since I wasn't feeling good, it was raining, and I wanted something easy.. I made a pot of
potato soup. We had everything for it and it was the perfect dinner. However, Jackson wanted something else and I about lost my patience with him. He was a handful today.. maybe I just wasn't feeling good and that made everything seem louder, bigger, bolder, more exaggerated. I will have to say once Scott got home, he hung out with him for a while and made it easier on me. I was pretty happy to get him to bed tonight.
Once the house winded down I clicked on my DVR list and saw this new show I am loving on Showtime..
Have you seen it?? Its pretty freaking funny and Lisa Kudrow is amazing!!! Check out the Showtime On Demand to watch it from the first one. It’s about a therapist with no patience. Tired of hearing about people’s dreams and feelings for fifty long minutes at a stretch, she devises a new kind of treatment, the three-minute video chat. And still, the sessions end up being largely about her and I love it!!
Well tomorrow I have some shopping to do at the market and I might end up running to Walmart and or the Dollar Store. I also want to run into CVS to pick up some kind of nail treatment to make my nails stronger and healthier. Any recommendations??
I still have a bunch of laundry to finish up ( washing and storing all Brittanys bedding ) but since its Tuesday we are planning on going to the pool tomorrow night but it might rain. I need to for sure make some Jackson time tomorrow. But we will be shopping together too.
Well I have to be up to call Brittany @ 7.. so I need sleep!
