Happy Friday!!!
Its a rainy dark day around here. I think we have had rain every day this week. It was so dark at 11am when I got up that I had to turn on the lights to be able to see anything. I love the rain and I love the thunderstorms but its not so fun for Jackson unless I let him play in it. But we will be spending the day at home staying dry!
I am watching the news right now and the victims from the temple where that guy killed a bunch of people and then shot himself seriously made tears run down my face. What the hell is going on? When I was a little girl, I never had to worry about being shot in school or in church and now its a common thing. I have never been for gun control because I grew up with a lot of men who loved their guns ( including my husband ) but I don't know what else is going to change it except getting the guns and how do get the guns that people already have? Maybe that's not the answer but I am seriously really tired of people being able to go commit a mass murder of innocent people with little effort. Its so sad. And people wonder why I stay home so much.. I think home is the safest place you can be.
Speaking of home.. I called Brittany at her dads this morning ( as I always do) to make sure she was up. Every morning has been a happy upbeat Brittany telling me that she awake and showered and ready to start the day.. This morning was different.
Me : Morning Sweetheart..
Brittany : I'm up mom ( in a grumpy tone )
Me: Get some breakfast and text me from the bus stop.
Brittany : I will
Me : Have a good day. I love you
Brittany : I can't wait till the end of the day. I love you too.
Well, the new has wore off school and getting up early for 5 days in a row has caught up with my princess too! Lets just hope this weekend she gets some extra rest.
Jackson is still running around the house enjoying the summer. Hes actually been really good today. Right now he is upstairs with his toolbox taking one of his toys apart. Its cute.. I might have to get a picture! I don't mind.. it gives him something to do. I remember my brother would take things apart just to put them back together again.. so as long as its not the xbox , playstation or something like that.. I don't mind.
BTW.. is it not crazy how much support a drunken Randy Travis is getting!? I think he had a bad night and I would care if drinking and driving wasn't a part of it. But his supporters are really coming out. Shit, he even posed with fans on his way out of jail! Am I missing something here!? Well maybe hes a guy huh!
