Jaggers Sleepy House!

All of us are tired tonight. The boys were both asleep already and I am laying in bed hoping that I got everything done for morning. I should have a check off list for nights like this when we are all tired. 

It was a good day. I got a lot done around the house and even got an hour nap in! Can't beat that! Before I knew it, time had crept up on me and it was time to go get Jackson from the bus stop. So I leashed Super Cooper up and 

away we went. 

What a beautiful day it was!! 

Before I knew it.. 

the school bus was here. Jackson seemed to have a good day. I won't lie.. he is not a big fan of school. If he could, he would stay home on Xbox and never open a book but that's far from his reality. Once he got home and rested for a while, we got started in on his homework.. He had to read for 30 minutes, study his spelling words, and had to find 3 personal items that represented him. We got all that done and then it was time for a easy dinner.. 

Easy grilled chicken sandwiches and some mac n cheese. It was husby's late night so I just made something easy.. but it went over well! Both guys loved it! And I thought it was pretty good too.

Scott went back over Jackson's spelling words once he got home and the night went pretty quick from there. Its funny everyone who is important in Jackson's life called him this evening about his first day in school. I even ended up talking to my ex mother in law a bit which was interesting! Its crazy how one little boy can make us all get along... and the years that have passed. I think at this point we are all tired of fighting.. relationships don't work out sometimes and its just the way it is. My ex husband and I talked for a while tonight and after many hard hard years we are starting to be able to co parent better. The most important thing is we keep loving the kids more than hating each other. Right now.. we are doing it! We are also dealing with Zane's mom who lives in Louisiana. She is trying to get all prepared for the hurricane but that's not so easy being she doesn't have a car and 5 kids. We are just hoping they stay safe and dry! 

I won't lie.. it was so nice having the day to myself. I did do a little housework but mostly I just enjoyed my time to myself. I figure I have the rest of the week to get things done. Being its the end of the month.. husby is going to work for probably most of the day which totally SUCKS. But I will just soak up the day to myself! Even though I have to roll out of bed at 7am to get Jackson ready. 

Right now cats are leaping around the bedroom. I don't know how husby is sleeping through this! The cats are using every piece of furniture like their personal jungle gym. I am just waiting on one of them to bite his toes and then hes going to come up flying out of the bed! =)
