Sleepy hello to you all. It feels so great to be in my own bed tonight. I guess the kittys are happy I am home in my bed too.. Each of them are in here right now sleeping.
As you can see..
Romeo is sound asleep on the nightstand.. Gabby is sound asleep right here next to me and Willow is passed out on kitty city. I think they missed me as much as I missed them over the weekend.
Most of our time was spent..
driving but we did get to visit with family a little.. and we did some fun shopping. Indiana is not a place I really enjoy going anymore so we were in and out. Husby doesn't mind it as much as I do but if I had my choice, I would get my daughter and never return. But thats not right of me to think that way when I have other family up there. But gosh.. there is nothing charming about it. When I was growing up, I guess it was nicer but now when I go back.. I just get depressed at how bad the city looks. I hate to say never.. but I really NEVER see myself ever living there again. I think its like the twilight zone up there.. and then you cross the bridge into Kentucky and things instantly get better. I just hate I still have a little girl up there but I think in time that will change.
Speaking of Brittany..
Helloooooo Princess.. I hope your first day of school goes GREAT for you!! I miss you and can't wait to hear all the details of your first day! I am going to start something new this year and start calling her at 7am every morning to make sure she gets up on time. I want my voice to be hear by her first thing every morning. Kinda a new tradition! I will only have to wake up for a minute or so.. call her and then back to sleep I go...Well, for 2 weeks until Jackson starts school.. then I will be up anyway. YUCK! But I am ready for Jackson to start school too. It will be good for him to be on a routine again.
At last we are as calm around here as we are going to get. Scott and Jackson spent a lot of time together tonight which was really sweet. I love having all the kids here but I look forward to a schedule instead of a wild summer! We have been going at it full force for months now. But Zane is back with his mom, Brittany is with her dad, so the traveling will slow down and we will be able to focus mainly on Jackson. He needs the attention... for sure! I even started a new calender to start off this school year with a bang! I am basically making a Jackson command center on a wall so he knows exactly what is going on with everything from school, to chores, to tv time. Its all going to be scheduled for him to make things easier. As I get it done, I will be sure to take pictures and explain it all!
Husby has a long day tomorrow so we will have lots of time to ourselves. I think we are going to be lazy for most of the day and maybe run to the market in the afternoon or evening hours. Nothing big or pressing going on so going to rest after our road trip. I wish husby could be here too though.. I'm sure he could use the downtime too. I was a bit grumpy tonight. I had enough noise in the car that when I got home.. finally done with shopping and settled in.. I wanted the house quiet. The boys didn't agree! But now that everyone is sound asleep, I am going to lay back in this bed and drift off to sleep too!
