Back to School - Lunch Box Love.. the Rubbermaid Lunch BLOX

Tuesday, August 7, 2012

I am so excited to share this post with you all! I am a sucker for any and everything organized! Jackson is heading to school in a couple of weeks so we went lunch box shopping. I saw an ad in a magazine about the kind of lunch box I wanted.

Here it is.. The Rubbermaid Lunch Blox set and bag.

When I was out shopping, I couldn't find the bag so thats why we got the bag above.. but now lets have a look in it!

In the bottom part of the lunch bag is where the

Lunch Blox set sits..

This is an amazing handy set of Rubbermaid containers that stack together.

Here is how it works..

It comes with 5 pieces total..

Here it is.

You can see that the little containers

snap on and off. These are the small 1/2 cup snack containers. And it also comes with this

1.2 cup side container that all snap on to this

Block of blue ice that keeps

everything nice and cool till lunch.

On bottom is the 2.6 cup sandwich container..

that will keep the

child - smashed sandwich - problem that many have!

On the top of his lunch box I added another Rubbermaid Lunch Blox container..

This one is the

lunch Blox with dividers that is also

made to stack more on top.. Since this is for the top of the lunch box, I didn't buy any additional pieces..

As you can see, it has 2 divided areas in it.. making it handy for almost anything.

I can't remember what exactly I paid for these but I think it was around $10 a set. They might have been $12 a set. I looked all over for receipt but couldn't find it anywhere!

Keep in mind that these are not just for the kids!! I am loving these so much I am thinking about eventually building up 4 more sets so we all have one next summer. Also if you take your lunch to work who take salad can avoid the dreaded soggy salad with these containers. You could pack the cheese and croutos seperate from the lettuce and tomatoes. I am also thinking that I could warm up say.. Spaghetti O's and put it in the top and maybe it would stay warm. I will have to try it out but maybe I will have to use a thermos instead.

And the LunchBlox containers fit nicely into a lunchbox. Super organized lunches! The LunchBlox Sandwich Kit is currently available at Rubbermaid.com, Target, Kroger, Kmart, Safeway, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, HEB, other grocery stores, and select Walmart stores. Again I found mine back in the Tupperware/Rubbermaid area of Kmart.

Here is a fast video showing you how great these really are!

So do like these??

I am in total love with them and plan on building up a collection of them so we all have one when we are taking day trips! I might not buy the bags because just the Rubbermaid Lunch Blox will fit great just in a back pack!
