A few weeks ago I got this
Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in #200 - Flushed -
( You can check out the full haul here! )
$12.99, CVS
It comes in a little pot.. If you don't like dipping your fingers in a product this might not be for you.. HOWEVER.. I use a stippling brush right in the pot and onto my skin..and it works great!
Another great thing about this little pot is that it comes with 0.44oz of product! WOW!! This will last forever.. so it really is a beauty steal!
When I opened it.. I was a little nervous about how bright it was..
Its a fuchsia kind of pink..It looks so bright in the pan but when you apply it to your skin
its rather light..
As you can see when its blended in.. it really gives you a flushed kind of look. The thing about these is they are a drugstore line.. And that means staying power and also pigmentation is not as good as a high end cream blush.. BUT.. You can build these up. I have dry skin and they really really seem to just give me the dewy look I love. I tend to build them up with the stippling brush to the depth that I want.. and I'm done. Depending on what I am doing.. this product has lasted for me up to 8 hours without needing any touch up. If I went outside and worked in the yard... and sweated a little.. I would defiantly want to retouch afterwards.
If you have oily skin you might want to do things a little different with this blush. I would suggest using a primer.. your foundation.. add your cream blush.. top that with a blush that is similar in color.. and then top with a light dusting of powder and it should last much longer.
Here is how it looks on my skin..
I have even been skipping bronzer for daytime looks and only using this blush!
I am giving this an
B+
Because..
I like the color, texture, it's easy to apply, no shimmer and the color is absolutely gorgeous and flattering. It gives the preattiest healthy flush. I could even go further and say this is one of the most flattering colors I ever put as a blush on my skintone.
But there is a little room for improvement.. I think its a little pricey.. ( find a sale if you want to try one out.. this week at CVS if you spend $10 on any Revlon Cosmetics you will get $ 4 in ECB.. At Rite Aid Revlon Cosmetics are 40% off..and at Walgreens Revlon is buy one get one 50% off! ) Check Rite Aid for the 40% off!! Also I wish they could come up with something a little different because I have long nails and I am unable to get the blush out without getting a mess under my nails. I do use a brush but its not that handy to just toss in my purse and go.. because I have to pack a brush too.
I don't have the staying problem that I have read other bloggers talk about. I guess thats because I have dry skin and it just soaks right in! Again.. if you do have oily skin.. use this as a base on top of your foundation for a powder blush in the same color and then top with a little powder and it will last you all day long!
Do you guys own any of these!? I would love to hear what you think of them!!
