Warmest day yet!

Wow.. bright and sunny day around here. Actually its a little bit hot. I however, don't want to turn the air on yet, because I prefer the windows open.

I looked out in the back yard a little while ago and saw the prettiest daffodils.

82 is suppose to be our high today! WOW... so going to get some laundry hung out to dry in just a few minutes. Michael brought down all his laundry this morning and it looks like he has been gone for months. He has at least 3 loads that needs to be done. Yuck but I don't mind doing it because he is such a good friend.. I just hope he doesn't mind me hanging some of them out. With warm days like this, I don't understand using the dryer.

In kitty news, Willow is in heat for the first time. All that meowing is driving everyone is the house crazy. Right now she is in a dark bathroom calming down a little bit. I think she just wants to sleep being she has been up all night. But I am going to let her get through this cycle before breeding her.

Since we are in warm weather.. and its suppose to be in the 80's today..I want to take a minute to remind you that even this weather is too hot for a lot of animals to be outside. Everyone knows I am a cat person but we also have a very big, very hairy, golden retriever and its too hot for him to be out there today. Instead he is laid in front of the fan staying cool. So if you do have pets, and they are outside please make sure that they

have fresh cold water to drink. One thing that I have noticed over the years of owning pets, which most people should know anyway, but if you fill up the water dish early and that's it.. the water, will get hot..and it will only raise the internal temperature of your pet if they drink it. Keep that in mind because they need a lot of cool water if outside. Hell, right now in my house, the pets need cold water because its hot in here. Super Cooper is laying right in front of the fan.

yea, he's got it rough huh? Cooper and I get a long much better when husby is not around. I know that sounds bad but Scott lets him get away with everything and I make him mind.. but still he has wayyyy to long of hair to be out in the heat. So keep that in mind with your pets too. I know most of you know this already, and every summer I am writing about it on here. I just want to remember that hot weather is not easy on pets.. including cats. If they are outside give them fresh cold water many times a day and hopefully they will find some shade to get into.

Well the day is passing me up... got to work on some of that laundry!
