Yea! I made it home from court! I didn't have any doubts that I wouldn't! I had made my mind up that today no matter how court was, my day wouldn't be ruined. Many times when I wake up early to do something I don't want to do.. I am grump all day long. I didn't want this to ruin my day. No thank you. I left house feeling pretty good and knew this was just a few hours and then I had the rest of the day to myself.
The drive to court was actually really nice.
It was beautiful.
It was foggy and everything looked so pretty out.
Once I got into court,
it wasn't very full at all but then people started piling in right at 9...
The judge didn't even get to the court room till after 10 because he was across the hall in another courtroom dealing with the inmates. Yea.. so I was able to sit there and play on my phone for a while. The jailer never said anything about the phones until the judge was ready to walk in.
My sweet lawyer did his thing and I ended up with one big fine..
That I can't really afford. But thanks to the guys who work in this house, I was able to get it paid. 1 down, 2 to go. I didn't even look at the receipt till a few minutes ago.. I got charged a phone fee,FBI DNA fee, and jail fee. WOW...I didn't even have those services and its still racked into it. Its crazy. I'm pretty sure I would know if someone took my DNA. Like I said, we are a single income family and speeding has made it harder. I really am working hard to drive right and not speed. Shit.. with the other 2 tickets, this could be a $ 1400 lesson. My attorney thinks he can get the other tickets reduced so fingers crossed that they are cheaper than today's.
I am kinda tired but I am just going to stay up and work around the house. I might end up running to the store later this afternoon. I have already went around and made all the beds and next up is finding something for lunch. I also want to get around to making a couple videos today too. Its so pretty out that I think I will work on laundry.. and hang it out to dry. Its so much better than using the dryer. Its not a late night so I don't have a ton of time. Husby has been in budget meetings all morning. I haven't talked to him much but I did stop by and see Michael and Jerred. Both were just hanging out waiting on customers. I didn't bother Scott being he was deep in meetings but I left him a sweet message.
I got a couple emails this morning about the Spring Clean Challenge. I love that you guys are getting excited to get started! I thought I was the only one who didn't mind cleaning so much. I just like the results. I love being home. This is my most favorite place and with so many people living here, organization is important. And I don't worry about their rooms. I do get the sheets and laundry from time to time but Jerred room and Michael's I don't have to clean. But all the other rooms I do. With the spring cleaning, just jump in from where you are. I do like the house picked up before starting it because if you get all the clutter out of the way, its easier to clean. I am actually starting tomorrow on the entry way and dining room. If you work, then do a little each night or pick a day on the weekend and do it all. Your house and family will thank you for it. Be sure to get those pictures. I know this blog is about me mostly but I love hearing from you guys.. and I would really love to see your progress!!!
