♥♥ Valentine Tag! ♥♥

Tuesday, February 14, 2012
It's one of my very favorite days of the year! I have always loved Valentine's Day. It's just so fun, and pink and wonderful. I loved it before I even knew about "romantic love". I think it's wonderful celebrating ALL types of love this day! But it became even more special when I met my life long valentine. ♥

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Lets see. We got together in September 2002. We have never broke up so that would mean that we have been in love and together for almost 9 years.

2. How did you meet? {What’s your “love” story?}
We met through a mutual friend. We got to know each other slowly and he told me before we ever had our first date that we was going to marry me. He actually told all my friends first and I thought he had to be crazy saying that before he actually really knew me. But guess he had a plan and it worked!!!
The long version is HERE. ( still working on it ) but it still gives me butterflies to relive those moments! :)
3. If married, how long have you been married?
Ha! Well that's a little bit of a story. We married in September 2007 in Pennsylvania. At that time we thought one of his divorce was final but we found out after it wasn't. So we took care of all the legal stuff..and it wasn't easy.. then we remarried in April. So I am going with April wedding date since that is in fact the legal one. So we have been married a little under a year. I would marry him 10x over. He's the love of my life.

4. If you are married, where did you get married? Big or small wedding?
First time was with some friends and the second time it was just us, the justice of the peace and a couple witnesses.

I don't really like to be on show. I am more reserved and the moment where I looked into his eyes and swore to him before God was one of the most meaningful moments I have ever had. It was so special and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Well my nicknames for him are Love, Scotty and Scooter. Scotter is what they called him on the road all the time and it just stuck! Also I call him asshole when I am cross with him. But its still just a loving nickname. He just calls me baby or Kisha.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey

His faithfulness. To me, and to our family.

His humor. Our relationship started with laughs and they've never stopped. He's my favorite person to laugh with.

His intelligence. He knows a little bit about everything and a lot about most. I feel so safe and secure with him around! I like that he is a bit older than me and has some wisdom.

7. Tell us how he proposed?

His mother had just passed away. A couple weeks before when we were visiting her, she told him that she wanted us to get married. I was super close to his mother. She really loved me and I loved her just the same.. that moment she said that was ever so special. So he proposed with a ring from her ( it was his that she kept for YEARS ) and got down on his knew on a snowy day at our cabin and asked me to marry him. It was extremely romantic and thoughtful.

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?

Hes both really. I never know what he is getting me for Valentines day. Last year he got me flowers, edible arrangements, teddy bear, card. I don't drink much so never really get champagne for any occasion.

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?

Again.. Both, depending on the night. I love the beach and I love my home.. both sound like good nights!

10. Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant other one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?

My dream is a 1 year in Europe. Travel every where, soak in as much as I can get in my brain. I'm afraid I wouldn't want to come back though!

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine’s Day.

We are celebrating low key at home. I'm cooking a special dinner for Scott and Michael and making the table look pretty with lots of candies and desserts.

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine’s day?
Just hugs and kisses!

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.

Laugh. Play together, tease each other, text funny stories throughout the day ... just laugh. I never realized till I got older how important it was to laugh in a relationship.

14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.

Happy Valentines Day!
