Recently I received an email asking if I could do a purple smokey look with MAC products.. Well since I don't normally do Today's Looks anymore or do many post with high end make up.. I thought I would!
Here is the look.. The products I used are at the bottom..
I didn't smoke it out too much. Clearly you could add as much depth as you want but it was daytime when I was wearing this look so I thought this was plenty.
As you can see its a mixture of purples.. from a light silvery purple for a highlight, a medium purple for my crease and a darker purple to smoke it out.
This look is not complicated at all. Its all about layering and building to get the look you want.
Here are the products I used.
MAC Silverware and To The Ball ES from the 6 Beauties Play It Cool Palette
MAC Permaplum Powerpoint Pencil
MAC Revenge is Sweet Gloss
MAC Zoom Fast Lash Mascara
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Bronzer
Foundation was Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation which I love!
When doing a smokey eye the key is to practice.. and its really important to blend.. Also even with MAC products I like to do my foundation first but not powder until I am done with the eyes. That way if you have any fall out you can easily clean it up with a little concealer or foundation.
If you don't have the MAC shadows that I used, there are plenty of drugstore products like either the
Maybelline New York in Amethyst Smokes or Maybelline New York Lavender Fields.
Hope you like it!
