Wore Out..

Hope you guys are having a great evening. I am taking a break from cooking and baking.. seriously thinking about a long hot bath. Its cold in here. Husby would tell you its too warm. The thermostat says its 79 but that has to be wrong.. Has to be. There is no way possible its that warm in this house. I in a sweater and just had a after dinner coffee & candy cane.. and still cold!

I still have a lot of stuff to get done tonight before ever getting to bed. I just finished a big batch off raspberry shortbread for the family.. I got the brownies made and cut into Christmas Trees.. and a few even have their candy cane trunks! Pretty cute. I have to go back to the store to get flour and some icing tomorrow. Yep.. thought I had enough flour but I don't. So back out I go. I have got to have most of the baking done tomorrow... so that means LOTS of chocolate chip cookies.. because starting Tuesday I am getting busy cleaning the house from top to bottom. And that will take a few days because I have to do upstairs and downstairs. I will be getting the guest rooms ready too. What that means is husby and I are going to be sleeping together again. Ha! Might just have to crash on the couch if he starts snoring. I think I will get those rooms done first so I don't have to think about them. I tend to work for about 30 minutes or hour and then take a 15 minute break. This keeps me from crashing. It doesn't take much to tire me anymore so the breaks really really help.

While I type this husby and I are talking about the holiday schedule... he is going to be wrapping gifts every night of this week. On Thursday I am going to the store to get all the stuff for the big dinner. I did buy one big $40.00 ham but Scott thinks we need 2. Maybe a smaller one.. but I am getting my list all together and getting the frig cleaned out by Wednesday. Like I said.. these next few days have to be carried out with precision.

I am hoping that my hot bath will re energize me... to clean the kitchen.. again.. and work on the Christmas tree brownies.. If you don't know what I am talking about here they are..



Cute huh!?  Right now .. I just have mine cut and just a couple of them have candy canes. By tomorrow afternoon they will be finished! If you want to see how to make these just click HERE.

Well.. I am off to a hot bath.. then I will be back in that kitchen!

My mom and Don are flying out of the Ozarks tomorrow and into Louisville. WOW!! The Clock is really ticking.. Really getting excited!!

BTW.. Can anyone tell me why Boardwalk Empire isn't on tonight!?
