Hello everyone!
What a productive day I had! Got a ton of things done today. Cleaned the house, rearranged furniture, baked cookies, blogged, cooked dinner, packaged the cookies, cleaned the kitchen and still on the go at 1:12 am! Waiting to toss laundry around before I go to bed.
I need to talk about the emails. I am trying to respond to as many of them as I can in my spare time. A lot of the shorter responses comes from my phone but other ones that will take a little longer, I send from my laptop. I am behind with them.. so please don't feel like I am ignoring you. I love that they keep coming in with recipes, crafty ideas, and just gossip about something or another. Keep sending them, I promise I will get to them in my spare time! I really love reading them! The Christmas card topic has been pretty big but it seems that more people are opting out of sending Christmas cards. But there was a lot of people who kinda got * inspired * by the post and starting to work on getting Christmas cards done and out to their friends and family. Some of the emails said that they simply couldn't afford it but would send out e cards.. and just a tiny few were grinches about it! See I do read them!! Don't feel bad.. I am not even taking that many phone calls right now either. I just don't have time to sit around and chat. I do take breaks though out the day and that's when I work on post.. and a lot of them don't take that long to do!
And here is the text message I have been sending out..
I figure if I keep this updated its kinda like an email to all of you!
I don't know what's going on with me but I am totally feeling festive right now! I am loving the holidays this year. I loved them last year too. Scott tends to get a little depressed and grumpy at Christmas but for the past few years I have been working hard to make it special for him. I just wish all the family was here. I can't wait till the day the ALL the kids are here, my family is here, Scott's family are here and we are joined with our great friends for a holiday! That will be everything. I love our family. I love the adult kids, the young kids, the grand kids ( ha! can you believe grand kids ), all my family..and after all these years Scott's family has become every bit of my family. I guess this perceptive takes growing up, becoming wiser and knowing what it means to really love someone. I could seriously move into a HUGE house with everyone and be totally happy! That was my grandfathers dream too. We both had the same dream of living on a French Farm way out in a big house surrounded by our entire family.
On to cookies.. I got the snowball cookies done tonight. They were super easy and they are pretty tasty! Tomorrow I am going to make the Raspberry Sortbread Thumbprint cookies. I know these will be just as amazing as the snowball.. better if you ask me! I got the updated cookie list and recipes post done and will have it up tomorrow.
I want to run an errand tomorrow and get some twinkle lights for the living room window. I got some that I have to take back to Big Lots..so that's happening tomorrow too.. plus got to pick up some more butter.. When baking I sure use a lot of it. I am going to try to get up a bit earlier so I have more time.. wish me luck with that.
Hope you guys have a great Friday!
♥
xoxo
