LAST NIGHT WE HAD A GREAT DINNER...
TALIPA FILLETS, ASPARAGUS, AND ROASTED POTATOES...
YUM!!!!
THIS IS A VERY HEALTHY MEAL..ITS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE EITHER. I GOT 6 FILET'S FOR AROUND $10.00..NOT TOO BAD!!
FIRST THE POTATOES NEEDED TO GET ROASTING. BEFORE I PUT THEM IN THE OVEN, I QUART ED THEM, ROUGHLY CUT UP AN ONION, DRIZZLED OLIVE OIL OVER THEM AND SEASONED IT WITH SALT, PEPPER, GARLIC POWDER AND THYME. OH..I ALSO ADDED A FEW BUTTER PATS TO IT. IT WENT TO A 450 OVEN AND ROASTED FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES..
THEN I TRIMMED UP THE ASPARAGUS..
I THEN PUT THE FILLETS IN A CASSEROLE DISH..
THEN I USED THE MCCORMICK LEMON BUTTER DILL SAUCE AND SPREAD IT ON TOP OF THE FILET'S.. THEY WENT IN THE 450 OVEN ON THE TOP AND COOKED FOR AROUND 30 MINUTES.
WHILE THEY WERE BOTH COOKING AWAY IN THE OVEN I GOT THE GRILL/GRIDDLE OUT OF AND GOT IT HEATED UP FOR THE ASPARAGUS. I THEN PUT THE ASPARAGUS ON THE THE GRILL AND LET IT COOK FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES...
I LOVE THE ASPARAGUS!!!
I ALSO GOT OUT A PACKAGE OF PREMADE COOKIE DOUGH, TOOK MY LITTLE SCOOPER AND GOT A TRAY OF COOKIES GOING. ~ EASY EASY DESERT ~
THEN THE POTATOES WERE FINISHED SO I MOVED THE FISH DOWN AND PUT THE COOKIES ON TOP. I HAD TO TURN DOWN THE TEMP ON THE OVEN FOR THE COOKIES SO THE FISH WAS COOKING A LITTLE SLOWER.
BUT...
BUT WHEN THE COOKIES WERE DONE, I MOVED THE FISH UP AND I TURNED THE OVEN UP ON BROIL TO GIVE THAT FISH COME COLOR AND TO GET IT FINISHED!
I WENT AHEAD AND INDIVIDUALLY PLATED UP THE FISH BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO HANDLE IT REALLY CAREFULLY OR IT WILL BREAK INTO PIECES.
AND DINNER IS SERVED..
AND YUMMY WARM COOKIES FOR DESERT.
THIS WAS A GREAT GREAT DINNER!!!
THE GUYS LOVED IT!!
